Late at night.
In front of an abandoned school in Oceanview City.
"Good evening, everyone! It's your old friend, Tammy, here," greeted a young girl, around eighteen or nineteen, holding a selfie stick and waving at the camera.
As soon as she started her live stream, viewers began to flood in.
---
**[PeachEater]: Tammy, where are you now? Why is it so dark around?**
**[DragonRoar]: Are you really going ghost hunting?**
"I promised everyone a ghost exploration. A promise is a promise!" Tammy said with a smile. "Besides, there are no ghosts in the world! We must trust in science!"
She continued, "This used to be a high school in Oceanview. It was abandoned after a tragic fire. Many lost their lives here."
"Tonight, I'll prove there are no ghosts!"
**[PeachEater]: Well said, Tammy! There's no such thing as ghosts!**
**[Believer]: Just because you haven't seen one doesn't mean they don't exist.**
**[GentleMan]: I saw a ghost recently, and I'm still scared. Tammy, you should leave. Something feels wrong.**
A gust of wind swept by, making Tammy shiver and her hair stand on end. She felt a chill down her spine, but the confidence from her viewers encouraged her to press on.
**[PeachEater]: Don't be scared, Tammy! I believe there are no ghosts!**
Resolute, Tammy took a deep breath and ventured into the school.
The moment she stepped through the gate, the eerie atmosphere intensified. Even though she didn't believe in ghosts, fear crept in, and she distracted herself by chatting with her viewers.
Tammy soon arrived at the main building, where silence was so profound that a pin drop could be heard.
"Click, click..." Her footsteps echoed as she climbed to the sixth floor. Despite her mental preparation, apprehension gnawed at her.
Upon reaching the sixth floor, she leaned against the corridor, addressing her audience with a nervous laugh, "See? Nothing out of the ordinary here..."
"Drip, drip..." A sudden sound of dripping water interrupted her, causing her heart to race.
**[Bombshell]: What was that noise?**
**[GentleMan]: Tammy, get out of there!**
**[PeachEater]: Haha, this is just part of Tammy's script to scare us!**
A script? No way!
Tammy cursed under her breath, wanting to leave. But with her viewer count rising, she hesitated. She was just a small streamer with a modest following; leaving now could mean losing her newfound popularity.
**[PeachEater]: If it's not scripted, why is Tammy just standing there? According to the plot, she should check it out!**
Feeling like she was being set up, Tammy took a deep breath, quelled her fears, and walked toward the sound.
"Click, click..." Her footsteps grew louder as she neared the source—a bathroom.
Inside, a dripping faucet caught her eye.
**[Skeptic]: It's just an old faucet. That scared me for a second.**
**[GentleMan]: If it's old, why didn't it drip before Tammy arrived?**
Tammy felt a chill again as she read the comment.
"Click, click..." Footsteps sounded in the distance, approaching fast!
Panic-stricken, Tammy's face turned pale.
**[PeachEater]: Great acting, Tammy! You almost fooled me!**
"I'm not acting!"
Tears welled up in Tammy's eyes as she stammered, "I didn't tell anyone I was coming here... Ahhh!"
"Shh!" A white blur zipped past her into the women's restroom, prompting a terrified scream.
With both cameras activated, the viewers saw it too. The chat exploded with comments.
**[Skeptic]: What was that?**
**[DragonRoar]: Could ghosts actually exist?**
**[Believer]: I don't think Tammy's faking this! Somebody call the cops!**
**[PeachEater]: It's all an act! Believe in science!**
**[GentleMan]: Wait, why are there still footsteps in the corridor?**
Silence fell in the live chat as the footsteps grew closer.
"Click, click..." Nearing the bathroom, the sound intensified.
Tammy's defenses shattered, and tears streamed down her face.
"Run? You think you can just run away?"
An irritated voice cut through the tension.
Tammy looked up in surprise.
A young man in his twenties stood panting at the bathroom door, glaring at her fiercely. "Don't think I won't recognize you just because you're an adult!"
