Tammy initially felt relieved to see another person in the deserted school, but the young man's words left her dumbfounded:
"What are you talking about...?"
"Are you pretending? Really?"
The young man paused, then strode forward, grabbing her shoulder with one hand and reaching behind him with the other, as if to retrieve something. But when he felt the warmth of Tammy's skin, he stopped and looked at her quizzically: "You're not a ghost? Then why are you here in the middle of the night?"
Shouldn't I be asking you that?
Tammy nearly burst into tears but dared not argue in the eerie silence. "I'm a streamer," she confessed, "I'm gathering material for my channel tonight."
"You people, always looking for trouble when you're bored," the young man muttered, rolling his eyes. "Did you see something pass by just now?"
"You mean... that white figure?" Tammy's voice trembled as fear crept back in. "What was that?"
"You didn't see it clearly?" he asked incredulously.
---
**[PeachEater]: Where did you get this actor? He's pretty convincing.**
**[GentleMan]: Don't underestimate him. He seems like an expert. Otherwise, Tammy's in real danger!**
**[Candy]: I have to admit, he's handsome! Love it!**
Back in the live stream, the chat buzzed with excitement.
"Alright, tell me quickly, where did it go?" the young man urged impatiently.
"There... in the ladies' room," Tammy pointed, her hand shaking.
The young man turned and entered without hesitation.
---
**[GentleMan]: What are you waiting for, Tammy? Go check it out!**
Tammy hesitated, but the pressure from her viewers pushed her forward. Her legs wobbled as she followed him.
"Where do you think you're running this time?" the young man chuckled as he confronted a white figure huddled in the corner.
"Don't come any closer!" the figure, a female ghost with a bloody face, rasped in terror.
Tammy, capturing the scene on camera, froze in shock.
---
**[Candy]: Is that a female ghost? She looks more like a frightened little girl.**
**[DragonRoar]: This guy doesn't seem trustworthy...**
**[Mary]: I feel sorry for the ghost now...**
**[PeachEater]: Can't you see he's acting?**
"You've been running circles around me here, but it's useless now!" the young man declared, approaching the ghost with a confident stride. He pulled out a... sack?
Wait, a sack?
Viewers were stunned. Could he be a human trafficker?
Without hesitation, the young man captured the struggling female ghost in the sack.
"Not too busy today," he said, satisfied, and then asked his system, "Where can I sell this ghost for the best price?"
**[System]: This ghost isn't much to look at. Recommend selling it to another world's mine.**
"You're picky, but fine. Let's send her to the mines!" he decided.
**[System]: You successfully sold an ordinary female ghost to the mine, ghost value +100.**
As the system's voice echoed, a personal panel appeared, visible only to him:
---
**[Host: Alex Carter]**
**[Level: Demon Level]**
**[Physical Strength: 110 (average adult is 10)]**
**[Ghost Power: 110]**
**[Ghost Value: 130]**
Alex Carter, having arrived in this world three months ago, had awakened the ghost dealer system. His mission: abduct and sell ghosts to gain strength.
That night, some adventurous kids had stumbled upon the ghost and reported it to Alex's paranormal office. Though their payment was meager, the ghost's value made the effort worthwhile.
"Convert all ghost points into physical strength enhancements," Alex commanded the system.
**[System]: You exchanged 130 ghost points for 13 physical strength fruits.**
**[System]: Your physical strength increased by 130 points.**
---
Tammy, bewildered by the events, watched the sack grow still. "Where did it go?" she asked.
"It's not gone; I sent it somewhere else," Alex replied earnestly. "I'm sure it'll be happier there."
---
**[DragonRoar]: Did you just exorcise it?**
**[Candy]: Amazing! Not only is he handsome, but he can catch ghosts too!**
**[PeachEater]: I still think it's all staged!**
The live chat erupted with excitement as viewers poured in to watch the spectacle unfold.
Tammy, ignoring the barrage of comments, asked, "Why didn't you just get rid of it?"
"Because I have a conscience."
"Then why did you hit it?"
"Because there's only so much conscience to go around."
