Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: I Want To Have A Meal Too!

**[FlyingFish]: This dialogue is absolutely incredible! Hahaha!**

**[Candy]: Does anyone know where to find such a powerful and interesting boyfriend?**

**[GentleMan]: This is definitely a unique person. Can you get his contact info, Tammy?**

This... might be a bit challenging, Tammy thought, hesitating.

**[GentleMan rewarded Rocket X1]**

Spurred by generosity, Tammy decided to follow her instincts and asked Alex, "Could I have your contact information?"

"Here's my business card," Alex replied, handing over his office card.

Tammy glanced at it, seeing the name "Alex Carter's Office" with contact details and an address. She was momentarily stunned and couldn't help but comment, "Shouldn't someone like you be hidden in plain sight?"

"Even people like me need to eat," Alex replied, rolling his eyes. "If there's another paranormal case, remember to call me. I'll give you a 20% discount."

**[FlyingFish]: Haha... Tammy, have you read too many novels? Hidden in plain sight, really!**

**[Skeptic]: Even unique individuals need to eat!**

"Alright, it's getting late. I should head back," Alex yawned, checking his watch.

Outside, a siren wailed.

"Uh... you might not be leaving just yet," Tammy said, pointing out the window. "One of the viewers got worried and called the cops."

### City Police Station, Interrogation Room

"Name?"

"Alex Carter."

"Gender?"

"Take a guess."

"Bang!" The female officer slammed the table, a hint of anger on her fair face. "This is the police station, be serious!"

"Oh, take it easy. You'll break the table," the male officer beside her groaned, patting the table with concern.

"Officer, I'm here to cooperate with your questions, not as a suspect," Alex said lightly, pouting.

The female officer fell silent, slightly embarrassed. She was used to interrogating suspects and had forgotten this wasn't the same.

Her tone softened, "Why were you at that abandoned high school tonight?"

"Just out for a stroll," Alex replied.

The officer's mouth twitched. "Then why were you carrying a sack?"

"I enjoy playing by myself."

Stifling a sigh, she pressed on, "And what did you put in the sack earlier?"

"Believe in science, Officer."

"Don't be evasive. It was live-streamed, and many saw it."

"You already know, so why ask me?" Alex rolled his eyes, growing tired of the charade.

The officer was at a loss for words, feeling as though her intelligence was being mocked.

"Officer Green, please step outside."

A male officer entered and called the female officer out of the room.

Moments later, she returned, looking reluctantly at Alex. "You're free to go."

Alex stretched, ready to leave, when Officer Green called out, "Wait a minute."

Alex turned, puzzled.

"You have an office, right? Give me a business card."

Alex immediately perked up, handing over a card with enthusiasm. "For you, Officer Green, a 20% discount."

Her expression cooled slightly as she took the card without a word. 20% off? You say that to everyone, don't you? If she hadn't watched the live replay, she might have believed his charm.

"Chief, why did you let him go? I hadn't finished questioning him!"

In the chief's office, Officer Green expressed her dissatisfaction to the middle-aged man before her.

The chief sighed, "I understand you're trying to prove something about your father's death, but some matters aren't ours to handle."

Officer Green remained defiant. "I was just asking questions, nothing more."

The chief spread his hands helplessly. "We got a call from higher up, ordering his immediate release."

"Alex is just an ordinary guy. How could he be connected to them?" Officer Green asked, puzzled.

The chief hesitated before responding, "I hear it's a newly established department."

"What's it called?"

"The Way of Heaven."
