In the middle of the bustling city, at a packed train station, a student wearing a dark blue school uniform stood quietly among the crowd, waiting for his train. A few minutes later, the train arrived. People from every direction came rushing toward the doors. Among them, a female student wearing the same school uniform managed to reach the entrance first—but just as she was about to step in, a businessman shoved past her and took her spot, pulling her out of the way.
"What a bastard," the male student muttered, then walked over to help her up.
"I'm Jeonne ," he said casually.
"Shainna," the girl replied, brushing dust off her skirt.
Since the train was already full, the two of them decided to wait for the next one.

[Inside Train]
The train hums along the tracks, its interior flooded with soft, sterile light. Jeonne sits by the window, still, almost statuesque.
Around him, life buzzes quietly. A man watches a cooking video on his phone. A teenager swipes endlessly through short clips. A woman types furiously on her tablet. Everyone's in their own world — eyes down, ears plugged in, souls detached.
Jeonne's eyes drift from one face to another, then settle on the window reflection — his own.
JEONNE (V.O.) "My name is Jeonne. A student with a stable life — good house, good friends, good face, a future I can reach if I want to. Financially, emotionally... I have what most people wish for.
His gaze lowers, almost guiltily.
JEONNE (V.O.) "But something's missing. Always has been. Like a quiet void in the corner of my soul... sitting there. Watching. Waiting.
A pause.
JEONNE (V.O.) "I'm not ungrateful. I'm just—bored. Deep down... painfully bored.
He looks up. The train glides past skyscrapers, concrete, glass, and blinking ads. Then, for a brief moment — a gap in the skyline reveals the open sky.
Jeonne stares at it, unblinking.
JEONNE (V.O.) "Is this all there is?..
Thirty minutes later, they arrived at their destination. After getting off the train, Jeonne and Shainna began walking down the street toward their school.
Along the way, they passed a mother buying ice cream for her two kids—a little boy and girl. The mother handed them their cones with a smile.
Seeing that, Shainna grinned. "We've got time, right? Let's get some too."
"Sure, why not," Jeonne replied.
As they lined up behind the family, the boy suddenly finished his ice cream and reached over to snatch his sister's cone. The two started bickering, tugging it back and forth. Jeonne , trying to be helpful, stepped closer.
Right then, the girl yanked the ice cream back with too much force—and it went flying through the air… landing right on Jeonne 's face.
Splat.
He stood frozen, dripping in sticky vanilla.
His cool aura? Gone.
Shainna burst into laughter, nearly falling over.
The mother quickly apologized. "I'm so sorry!"
Jeonne wiped his face and forced a smile. "It's fine. No big deal."
He no longer felt like buying ice cream. The two walked off, Shainna still giggling as she teased him the whole way.
[Classroom]
Jeonne stepped into his classroom and was greeted by his two friends, Rina and Johann
Rina: "Good morning!"
Johann: "Morning!"
Jeonne: "Morning!"
Rina: "Yo, you guys studied for the quiz?"
Johann: "What quiz? Wait—are you?"
Rina: "I'm studying now."
Johann: "On your phone? Weren't you reading a manga like… five seconds ago?"
Rina: "Why would you—"
Suddenly, another student entered the room. He was tall—around six feet—and had a strong, calm presence.
His name was Raz Magaleone.
Rina: "Whoa. Who's that?"
Johann: "That's Raz. Raz Magaleone. He's a transferee."
Rina: "Since when?"
Johann: "Yesterday?"
Rina: "I think I'm in love."
Jeonne: "Damn… He looks like a model…"
[Cafeteria – Lunchtime]
It was lunch break, and Jeonne , Rina, and Johann sat together at a table filled with delicious food. One of the dishes in the middle was a Hawaiian pizza.
Jeonne stared at it, then started picking out the pineapples one by one.
Jeonne: "I'm sorry, but pineapple on pizza will never taste good."
Johann: "Facts. It's just wrong."
Rina: "What?! Are you kidding me? Pineapple and pizza is the perfect combo—it balances the flavors!"
Jeonne and Johann shook their heads in unison.
Jeonne: "Fruit has no business being warm and sitting on melted cheese."
Johann: "It's basically sabotage."
Rina crossed her arms, determined to defend her taste buds.
Rina: "You guys just have a boring taste. Sweet and savory is elite."
While the argument heated up, the three of them kept eating and mock-arguing, drawing a few stares from nearby students.
Behind the scenes, their friendly debate carried on like a morning talk show no one asked for.
Suddenly, the cafeteria doors burst open.
Five well-known bullies from school strolled in like they owned the place. The atmosphere instantly changed—conversations died, and students quickly looked away, pretending not to notice. The way these guys walked, talked, and laughed loudly without a care in the world was enough to scare off anyone who didn't want trouble.
They marched straight to the cafeteria line, cut in front of everyone, and got their food without a single person daring to speak up.
Looking around, they saw that all the tables were full—except one. At that table sat a single student who clearly looked uncomfortable and out of place. Spotting an easy target, the bullies headed straight for him.
Zack: "Hey bro, isn't this table ours? You should find another one—we've got this one reserved."
Nico: "W-what? T-there's no reservation label…"
Zack: "Y-yea? S-sure?"
He mimicked Nico's stutter with a mocking grin.
Zack: "B-bro, you g-gotta g-g-go before we st-st-start lunch!"
The bullies burst out laughing.
One of them—Flenn—took things too far. He poured Coke all over Nico's rice and spat into his soup.
Watching the scene unfold, Jeonne stood up, attempting to do something about it. However, he was stopped by Johann..
Johann: "Jeonne, wait. You can't take them all on. Two of them are teachers' sons—and one's the principal's kid. If we get involved, we're done for."
Jeonne (Int Monologue): "He's right. I don't want Johan to get involved. His mother worked so hard for him to get him in this school.
Jeonne sat down.
Meanwhile, Zack shoved Nico.
Zack: "Get outta here!"
Nico: "S-sure… no problem…"
Nico quietly grabbed his tray and tried to leave, but just as he stepped forward, Flenn stuck out his foot and tripped him. Nico fell, his tray flying through the air—landing right on another student's table.
The food spilled across the shirt of none other than Raz Magaleone.
The cafeteria went dead silent.
Nico looked up in horror. "I-I'm so sorry!" he stammered, rushing to apologize.
Raz stood up slowly. Everyone held their breath, expecting him to snap. Instead, Raz gently moved Nico aside—then turned his full attention to the bullies. He walked toward them, eyes locked on Zack.
Raz: "You. Apologize."
Zack raised an eyebrow and stepped forward, trying to act tough.
Johann: "Oh no! That's the newcomer! It's a mistake for him to confront them on his first day of school!
Zack: "Am I supposed to be intimidated?"
Raz didn't blink.
Raz: "I'll count to three. If you don't apologize, your face is going in that trash can. And in the next eight seconds, your face will be basted in food."
Raz: "Three."
Zack: "We got a comedian here, huh?" He laughed.
Raz: "Two."
Zack: "Yo, are you serious right now?"
Raz: "One."
Zack stepped closer, ready to throw down.
Raz swung a heavy cross—but Zack caught it with his bare hand.
Zack smirked.
Zack: "Is that it?"
But Raz wasn't finished.
With sheer force, he pushed through Zack's grip, overpowered him, and landed a clean punch across Zack's face. Before Zack could react, Raz delivered a sharp knee to his gut, then slammed his head into the fallen lunch tray with a CLANG.
The cafeteria erupted in gasps.
The remaining bullies tried to jump in—but Raz moved like a pro. As a trained athlete and boxer, he easily dodged and took each of them down in quick, clean hits. One after another, they fell.
Raz grabbed one of the less aggressive bullies by the shirt.
Raz: "Pick up your friends. And get out."
Phones were out. Students recorded everything. And when it was over, the cafeteria broke into applause.
Nico stood up, stunned but grateful.
Nico: "T-thank you…"
Raz: "No problem. I really hate bullies."
Without waiting for more attention, Raz walked out as cheers followed him.
Jeonne sat in awe, eyes wide.
Jeonne: "Holy shit. What a day."
Class finally ended, and Jeonne and his friends went their separate ways. Jeonne walked alone through the street, still thinking about Raz's badass moments earlier.
Even though he didn't know Raz personally, he couldn't help but admire him.
As he walked, Jeonne tried to mimic some of Raz's moves—the way he stood, the way he talked. But mid-pose, he noticed a random guy on the sidewalk staring at him like he'd lost his mind. Jeonne immediately straightened up and acted like nothing happened.
Jeonne (thinking): "Yeah… never mind."
He passed by a beggar sitting by the corner, quietly asking for coins. Jeonne walked past at first—but then paused, turned around, and pulled a coin from his pocket, dropping it into the can.
The beggar suddenly grabbed his hand.
Beggar: "Thank you, young man. This really helps me a lot."
Jeonne was caught off guard—but smiled.
Jeonne: "No problem… Gotta do some good in this world, right?"
As he walked away, he muttered to himself with a smirk:
Jeonne: "Did he have to touch my hand though…"
Despite how rough the day started, it actually turned out pretty well. He saw something cool, did something good—it wasn't so bad after all.
That night, in a good mood, Jeonne decided to cram all his school projects. He stayed up until 1 a.m., finishing everything.
As soon as he hit the bed, he was out cold. The next he saw was that he was in a dark, eerie forest filled with ominous giant trees.
"I looked around as I brought my eyes towards the ground, and there I saw a huge footprint of some unknown creature lurking nearby in this unnerving place. It took me a moment to realize the danger I was in. I didn't understand how I got here. Perhaps, is this some kind of nightmare? No, this is far too realistic from a dream because I could exactly feel everything. I can feel the cold air touching my skin, the innate smell of grasses and plants, the sound of birds chirping in the background, and the fact that I could clearly see everything means that this is happening in reality.
"Thud...Thud...Thud"
"What was that?" I said. The ground was slightly shaken like something giant was coming. The birds are in disarray, and the plants are dancing due to the ground's vibration. It seemed to me that the sound came from my front. I took a step back because it was the most rational choice, not knowing what may come. I slowly kept moving backward and backward because the sound of the thud became louder and nearer. And then, it appeared. A humanoid creature with one eye and unblemished horn appeared behind the giant trees. I collapsed on the ground witnessing its dreadful existence, and then it spotted me. I immediately stood up and began to run. The creature decided to chase me, and I knew I was going to die. I was alone in the forest without anyone to ask for help, so I ran as fast as possible. As I was running, the worst had happened. I tripped on the tree's enormous roots and fell to the ground. Finally, the creature caught up to me. It grabbed me, and all I did was close my eyes hoping that everything was just a terrifying dream…"
