Jeonne woke up groggily, rubbing his eyes.
Jeonne: "What was that? Something happened in my dream... I can't remember."
He glanced at his alarm clock—and panic hit him.
Jeonne: "Shit! I'm late!"
In a rush, he washed his face, threw on his uniform, and grabbed a biscuit as a sad excuse for breakfast.
Luckily, the train wasn't crowded this time. He got on without much trouble. As soon as the train arrived at his stop, he bolted out and sprinted down the street.
Just as he turned a corner, a speeding bicycle came flying straight toward him.
Jeonne: "Wha—!"
The biker hit the brakes hard, barely avoiding a fatal collision—but both of them still crashed to the ground.
Jeonne: "Ow...!"
The biker pulled off his helmet.
Nico: "You okay?"
Jeonne: "Nico?!"
Turns out Nico was also running late. The two helped each other up.
Nico: "W-want a ride? Might save you a few minutes."
Jeonne: "Sure."
[Classroom]
Jeonne slipped into class late. The math teacher was already halfway into the lesson. He quietly sat down at his seat.
Lukas: "Why do you look like shit, bro?"
Jeonne: "Didn't manage to wake up early."
Lukas: "Yeah, it shows."
The teacher cleared his throat and called the class to attention.
Teacher: "Listen up!"
The class continued. But a few minutes in, Jeonne 's eyes started to get heavy.
Jeonne (thinking):
This is probably because I slept late last night... I can't take it anymore. My eyes are shutting down. This class is way too boring. Just... a quick nap.
His head drooped.
He drifted into sleep.
[Void]
Everything was black. Silent. Empty.
Suddenly, a digital screen appeared in front of him—floating in the void like a hologram.
Its glow reflected on Jeonne 's confused face.
Jeonne: "What the hell is this...?"

The digital screen blinked out and Jeonne found himself standing in a quiet narrow alley.
The cobblestone path beneath his feet felt cool. Warm sunlight filtered gently through overhanging balconies and old-fashioned lamps. Flowerpots lined some of the windowsills, and the faint hum of distant city life echoed from beyond the arched exit.
It was beautiful... but strange.
Jeonne: "What the?"
He spun slowly, taking in the stone buildings, the wooden shutters, the vines crawling up some walls. This wasn't anywhere he knew.
Jeonne: "No way. This can't be real. This looks like... like something out of a fantasy movie."
He patted his own chest, but he realized he was naked. He wasn't wearing anything and so he instinctively went closer to the side to hide.
Jeonne: "Okay, okay. Deep breaths."
He stood upright, still shaken, but steadier.
Jeonne: "Calm down, Jeonne . You're not dead. Probably. You're not in cosplay either."
He looked at the distant end of the alley, where faint silhouettes moved.
Jeonne (gulping): "...Okay. Let's not panic. First, let's find some clothes.
Jeonne walked slowly through the narrow alley, his footsteps echoing lightly on the cobblestones.
As he passed a house, he noticed an open window with laundry fluttering in the breeze. Shirts, trousers, socks... all freshly washed and hanging on a wooden rack.
He looked around. No one in sight.
He reached up and grabbed a few pieces of clothing. The result?
He was now wearing a half-wrinkled tuxedo shirt, loose black pajama pants, and a pair of fluffy, oversized slippers with duck prints on them.
Jeonne: "This is either genius... or insane. Probably both."
He stepped away from the window, trying to act casual.
Jeonne (deadpan): "Yup. Nothing weird here. Just a guy in fancy sleepwear and duck feet. Totally normal."
Jeonne reached the end of the alley, cautiously leaning against the corner of a worn-down wall. He took a slow peek around the edge... and his eyes widened.
Before him lay a wide, bustling street—like something straight out of a high-budget fantasy video game. Towering buildings made of stone and glowing metal stretched up into the sky, and then he saw a beautiful 7-stories high tower that was radiating a blue hue.
Then—a large, scaly creature, something between a tiger and a lizard, walked past a bakery with a saddle on its back and bags of bread strapped to its sides. Nobody even batted an eye.
Jeonne: "Is that a fucking raptor?"
Jeonne just stood there—frozen.
Jeonne (whispering): "...What the actual hell?"
He stepped out into the street, still in his weird pajama-tuxedo-slipper combo, trying to take in everything without letting his jaw hit the ground.
He blinked, rubbed his eyes. Still there.
Jeonne: "Okay. Okay. This is either a dream or... I'll be damned."
He took a deep breath, finally letting it sink in.
Jeonne: "I think... I think I got Isekai'd."
WORLD DREAMER
By Jasper M. Hermosisima
[HUTAN, IMPERIAL FEDERATION]
Jeonne: "I'm not sure if I'd be happy about it or not. I mean, I dreamt of being isekai'd, but not at this damn moment!"
"I should ask that man. No., nevermind. I should ask that woman. She looks like she's kind.
Jeonne approaches this woman who was reading a book. He asked, "Excuse me, where is this place again?"
Woman: "This? This city? We are in the city of Hutan. Are you a foreigner?"
Jeonne: "Uhh, yes."
Woman: "That explains that weird outfit."
Jeonne: "What? My drip is straight fire! 🔥"
A sudden hush fell over the street. The steady chatter of the crowd dissolved into silence, and the sound of distant hooves clacking against pavement echoed through the air.
Jeonne paused and turned around.
The crowd... was parting.
People on both sides of the street quietly stepped aside, forming a path. It was like a reverse red carpet event—no cheering, no music, just quiet tension in the air.
He instinctively stepped to the side with everyone else, pretending like he knew what he was doing. And then, Imperial Soldiers in white and gold uniform riding in front shouted, "Make way for Sir Neuvel Illnoir.!"
Neuvel Illnoir, an Imperial Knight, stepped out of the caravan along with his magical beast companion—a Void Hound, brimming with dark magical energy.
Neuvel announced, "Greetings! I am from the Bureau of Imperial Police and Army. I hereby declare a bounty of 40 gold bars for the capture of a member of the Black Orb. This dangerous group of thugs has threatened the safety of our people, and we have received reports that some of them are present in this city, Hutan."
The crowd was surprised by the announcement. Then, a confident man spoke up, "40 gold bars? Isn't that a little low?"
Neuvel replied, "Why the hell would I do that? You're standing in front of a noble. You don't make the deals—you accept them!"
Suddenly, Neuvel's pet, named Vond, began acting aggressively. The Void Hound sniffed the ground and moved toward a specific target. Vond made its way toward Jeonne , sensing something others didn't notice.
Jeonne froze in fear, confused by the beast's reaction. All eyes turned to him, and Neuvel raised an eyebrow in curiosity.
Neuvel asked, "Who are you, sir? Are you from here?"
Jeonne was overwhelmed by the attention. The crowd stared, the pet growled at him, and Neuvel stood ready with a weapon.
Jeonne stammered, "Uh, I don't know why your pet is acting like that. Must be something stuck in its nose."
Neuvel drew his dagger and threatened him. "Vond never reacts this way unless it detects something suspicious."
Jeonne panicked. Then, a woman stepped out from the crowd and pulled something out of Jeonne 's pocket—a piece of luxurious meat.
This was the same woman Jeonne asked about something earlier. She explained, "The reason your pet acted like that, Sir Neuvel, is because this guy was hiding a very rare, delicious meat that Void Hounds crave. And as for what that man said, I agree. I think the reward money needs to go up."
She tossed the meat away, distracting Vond, who immediately ran after it and hid under the caravan to eat. Its aggression faded.
Neuvel asked, "I'm sorry, who are you? And why do you think you're in a position to negotiate?"
Woman: "I'm Kana, a bounty hunter. A member of Extravagant."
The crowd amazed, as if she was a celebrity.
Nuevel : "Oh. Extravagant. Quite the name. So Kana, tell me why I should increase the reward."
Kana replied, "I know the police have been after this group, but even with all their power and resources, they've barely caught a single one—if any. And now you're expecting the villagesfolk, ordinary people, to catch them for just 40 gold bars?"
Another man chimed in, "She's right, sir! This group isn't made up of your average thugs."
Neuvel responded, "Fine. 80 gold bars. How does that sound?"
Kana raised her voice, "80 gold bars? That's still too low! Who would risk their life for that, especially when even the police can't handle them?"
The crowd murmured in agreement, clearly unimpressed.
Neuvel finally gave in. "120 gold bars. That will be the maximum reward."
The crowd erupted in cheers, applauding Neuvel's decision. While he soaked in the praise, the woman quietly grabbed Jeonne and slipped away with him through the crowd.
Jeonne and Kana escaped the crowd.
Jeonne: "Yo! Thank you so much. You saved me back there. Kana, right?"
Kana: "Yes. What were you doing there? What did you do?"
Jeonne: "I don't know! I was just standing there, minding my business, and that animal suddenly decided I was its mortal enemy."
Kana: "You really don't know anything right here? Where are you from by the way?"
Jeonne: "I'm from, not here."
Kana (Sarcastic): "Wow. Love that place. Very specific. Heard the weather's great in 'Not Here.'"
(smirks)
"So—what's your name?"
Jeonne: Jeonne"
Kana: "Jeonne. Why are you here?"
Jeonne: "Uhh. Just taking a trip alone. YOu know, spending time to adventure, but I don't really know anything here"
Kana: "Is that so? Would you like me to be your tour guide?"
Jeonne: "Really? Me? Having a beautiful tour guide like you? I would love to."
Kana (giggles): "You know, you're funny. Come! We are near the train station. Let's board it because I wanna show you something."
[Train Station]
Jeonne: "So Kana... what was that back there? Are you, like, a celebrity or something?"
Kana (chuckles): "What? That? No. I'm a bounty hunter. Also part of the Extravagant Guild."
Jeonne: "Bounty hunter?"
Kana: "From the word itself. Bounty hunters take on dangerous quests or targets assigned by the Bounty Hunter Associations. Some of us are sigil users... some aren't."
Jeonne: "Sigil users? What's that?"
Kana (suddenly serious): "Wait... you don't know what a sigil is?"
Jeonne: "No? Should I?"
Kana: "How can you not know that? Godfall affected everyone."
Kana looks at Jeonne with a sense of distrust and malicious intent. She says, "Who are you? Who are you really?"
Jeonne: "I just told you. I am a foreigner who's here to explore."
Kana: "I see. Come, I've got to tell you something."
Jeonne followed her as they boarded into a train.
Jeonne asked, "Hey! Why won't you talk to me?"
They traveled to the back of the train car until they find a car without anyone.
After a moment, Jeonne asked, "Can we speak now? Kana?"
Kana subdued Jeonne from behind and immobilized him. Kana attempted to thrust her knife towards Jeonne but stopped before hitting him. She threatened him saying, "I'm not stupid, 'Jeonne'. Are you a spy!? What country are you from?"
Jeonne screamed like a little girl and was fearful of the sudden event. He says, "Woah, woah, woah. L-let's calm down! I-I. Ugghhh. First I come here and almost died, and then a beautiful woman of my type points her sword at me. My day won't get any weirder."
Kana (threatening): "I could kill you right here right now Jeonne. No one would notice!
Jeonne: "Okay, calm down. Actually, I don't belong here. I came from another world. I don't know if that's understandable for you, I don't know how I got here."
Kana raises her eyebrow, still skeptical. She says, "There's only one way to find out."
Kana takes her gloves off.
Jeonne: "What are you doing?"
Kana touched Jeonne's neck. Jeonne was confused, expecting something would happen. Five seconds later, nothing happened. Kana was just as confused as Jeonne. This life and death situation for Jeonne became awkward for him. A woman who threatened to kill him was now holding his neck and having eye contact for five seconds.
Jeonne's eyes were locked into Kana's. The tension made Kana realize the situation. Kana looked away, flustered. She let go of her hand and said, "Sorry, that wasn't how you think it is."
Jeonne: "When you come at me like that, I don't know."
Kana: "My sigil, or my ability, lets me see the future of the person I physically contact with. I wanted to see yours if you're telling the truth, however, I couldn't see anything. This has never happened."
Jeonne: "Oh, like a seer? So you believe me now? I'm just as confused as you. I don't know how I came here and I don't know if it's alright if I tell someone this. I was just sleeping, and then I woke up here."
Jeonne (annoyed and mocking): "I have so many questions! It's my time to ask questions. Who are you really?"
Kana (still baffled by the turn of events): "That's impossible. How can I not see yours?"
Jeonne: "Answer my damn question!"
Kana: "Oh. I am Kana Michson, a member of the Extravagant guild, and a member of the Black Orb."
Jeonne (slowly looking at Kana): "B-black Orb. The terrorist in Hutan?"
Kana: "Terrorist? No! We aren't like that."
Jeonne: "You're not going to sell my kidneys or something right?"
Kana: "What?"
Jeonne: "No, nevermind."
Kana: "I've heard a saying: A man from nowhere will come to me. His future is blank, yet he carries hope for his allies and leaves ruin behind for his enemies."
Kana: "This changes everything. I need to tell the others. Come, let's sit and talk."
For a few minutes, they were in a beautiful valley.
Outside the train window stretched a breathtaking valley. A lush, green meadow blanketed the land, dotted with dandelions and yellow wildflowers swaying gently in the breeze. In the distance, tall, rugged mountains capped with snow stood proudly beneath a blue sky streaked with soft clouds. Scattered trees—some bare, others full—framed the rolling hills. The whole scene looked like a painted dream, calm and untouched, as if time slowed down just to let the beauty sink in.
Jeonne is looking at the scenery and too stunned to speak.
Kana starts speaking: "Allow me to formally introduce myself again. Hi, my name is Kana Michson. I have something to tell you."
Jeonne: "Ah finally. We're done with the cold treatment."
Kana: "To answer your question about sigil earlier; "
Character Profile
User: Kana Michson
Sigil: "Chrono Vision" - Allows the user to see a point of view of a random person in the future that involves the target he/she physically contact with. During this state, the user is vulnerable.
Kana: "Sigils are the manifestation of our mind, a reflection of who we are. It appeared because of the Godfall, which is the aftermath of the ancient battle of Angels and Demons."
Jeonne: "Angels and Demons?"
Kana: "The Godfall is a cataclysmic event that released an energy that was beyond human understanding called the Zeit Energy, which caused unexplainable phenomena like the appearance of monsters, dungeons, and sigils. Up until now, we still don't have answers about the mysteries of this world.
Jeonne: "Woah."
Kana: "Also, sigil users have tattoo marks carved somewhere in their body. Its tattoos differ depending on the sigil type. Here's mine on my shoulder. They are given naturally to people or awakened later in their life, or never at all. I was given this sigil to see the future, good or bad, to help prevent catastrophes and help protect everyone I love. Now, I don't know how you got here or why, but there's a great war coming, and I think you will be the one of the key in protecting everyone.
Jeonne's eyes locked-in to Kana's shoulder. Her shoulder, her subtle skin, it was as if her skin plunders gaze."
Kana: "Hey! Eyes up here pervert!"
Jeonne: "What? No, no! It's not what you think it is?"
Kana: "Oh really, then what is-"
Suddenly, the window beside Kana shatters, and a Bounty Hunter crashes through, delivering a surprise dropkick that slams her into the opposite seat.
Kana (gritting her teeth as she's thrown back): "What the hell—?!"
Bounty Hunter, Jill Kherstein, says, "I heard everything you bitch! Who would expect, a member from Extravagant is a member of the Black Orb member. Confessing that you're a black orb member without securing the place, it's a dumb move. Maybe all members of that guild are all fraud."
Kana: "No! They don't have anything to do with this."
Jeonne: "How did he come outside the train?"
