Jeonne: "Oh, shit."
"My alarm should be ringing—wait, I didn't activate it! Kana! I need to find Kana! She's got answers... Wait—maybe the old man knows her!"
Jeonne bolted out of the village, eyes scanning everything around him. After sprinting past a few homes, he came across a church under construction. Walter was standing in front of it, watching with pride.
Jeonne ran up to him, slightly out of breath.
Walter: "Oh, there you are! Did you sleep well?"
Jeonne: "Yeah! L-listen—!"
Walter: "Look!" He pointed at the building. "We're building our first church! Finally, we'll have a place to offer our gratitude."
Jeonne: "I see. That's great! By the way, do you happen to know a woman named Kana?"
Walter: "Kana? Kana Michson?"
Jeonne: "What? You know her?!"
Walter: "Of course. She lives here. How do you know her?"
Jeonne: "Perfect. I've got to find her."
Walter: "Why? What do you need from her?"
Jeonne: "I—"
Suddenly, the village bell rang loudly in the distance.
Walter: "Oh, they're finally back."
Jeonne: "Who?"
Walter: "The Extravagant."
People started gathering at the village entrance. A path formed in the middle of the crowd as everyone turned to welcome their heroes.
The Extravagant had returned.
A bounty hunter guild—and legends in the village. They weren't just fighters; they were family to these people.
Five bounty hunters stepped through the gates: Vria Goldagger, H Wayward, Rosetta Fleur, Noe, and Mira. The crowd erupted in cheers as they walked in. Jeonne glanced at them but couldn't focus. His mind was still spinning.
Jeonne: "Damn it. I don't have time for this—I need to ask the old man where Kana is."
Then, one of them stepped forward—Vria. Calm, confident, reliable. He raised his hand, and the crowd fell silent.
Vria: "Everyone! We have brought supplies!"
The crowd cheered and filled with joy.
Vria: "However, we bring unfortunate news. Kana has been captured by the Imperial Police."
Jeonne had just started to slip away through the crowd—but that name stopped him cold.
He turned back, eyes wide.
Vria: "We don't know where she's being held... but I promise you, we will perform a rescue operation. We'll do everything we can to bring her back."
While Vria was still speaking, Dansleif scanned the crowd—and then he saw someone unfamiliar.
His eyes locked onto Jeonne .
Dansleif: "Hey! You! Yeah, you! You're... you!"
Jeonne: "Sorry, I don't have time for this."
Dansleif: "Stop! Stop right there!"
Jeonne: "I'm so sorry. Really—I don't have time. I need to find someone."
Dansleif didn't listen. He grabbed Jeonne 's arm to stop him.
In an instant, Jeonne reacted—instinctively.
His hand shot to Dansleif's neck, and with a burst of raw strength, he slammed him down to the ground. The crowd gasped as Jeonne 's eyes suddenly glowed golden orange, energy sparking around him.
He had accidentally used his sigil in front of everyone.
Dansleif struggled—but then his body phased through Jeonne 's grip like smoke, slipping out of the chokehold.
Jeonne: "What the—?"
Dansleif stepped back, eyes narrowed. Without hesitation, he drew a dagger and charged again.
But before he could reach Jeonne —
Mira stepped in between them.
Mira: "Wait!"
Dansleif froze.
Mira looked closely at Jeonne , piecing it together.
Mira: "Golden orange eyes... red outline... one horn on the left side... about the same height as Vria... young and handsome..."
She paused.
Mira: "It all fits what Kana described. He's the one. The Celestial Demon."
Jeonne: "Kana Michson?"
Mira: "You know her?"
Jeonne: "Yeah. I was with her... then we were ambushed. First by bounty hunters, then by the Fourth General."
The crowd murmured. Vria stepped forward.
Vria: "Ah... so that's why. What's your name?"
Jeonne: "Jeonne ."
Vria: "I'm Vria Goldagger, leader of the Black Orb."
Jeonne: "The Black Orb? I thought you were called the Extravagant?"
Vria: "The Extravagant is the name of our guild. The Black Orb is our faction within it."
Jeonne: "What's the goal of the Black Orb?"
Vria: "The goal of the Black Orb is to stop the Empire of Majestus... and eliminate King Julius Valoria."
He held out his hand.
Vria: "Come join us, Jeonne . Let's save everyone."
Jeonne looked at him.
Those golden eyes, filled with noble purpose, locked with Vria's. There was sincerity in his voice—real and unshakable. Something about Vria made him feel calm. Safe. For the first time since all of this started, his worries faded.
His heart felt... fulfilled.
And then, Jeonne says, "It-It was my fault. Kana was captured protecting me."
Vria: "You are right. And you're going to take responsibility for that."
Jeonne: "What? How?"
Vria: "Let's save her."
Jeonne: "Okay, where? When do we start?"
Vria: "But first, become a bounty hunter..."
The Extravagant, together with Jeonne , rode horses and left the village....
[30 minutes after the Extravagant left the village]
Deep in the forest just outside the village, the sound of hooves echoed through the trees. A group of royal knights in white and gold armor emerged—mounted on horses dressed in ceremonial plating, glinting under the sunlight.
They rode in silence, until one of them—Jonas Vi Cairus, the 4th Blade of Valoria—stepped down.

And right into a pile of cow shit.
Jonas: "What a fucking dirty place! This is a land for monkeys. They don't deserve to live."
He looked at his stained golden boot with pure disgust.
Jonas: "Alright. Wipe out half of them. Capture the rest."
The knights didn't hesitate. They drew their blades and rode toward the village like hounds unleashed.
A villager saw the riders coming, puzzled.
villager: "Huh? Do you guys need help or—"
He didn't get to finish. One of the knights slashed him across the chest, blood spraying as he dropped to the ground, dead.
Another couple ran, only to be impaled from both sides by two charging knights.
An old woman pleaded, hands raised—but a knight cut through her neck without slowing down.
A young man tried to fight back with a farming tool. His body was split in half before it even touched armor.
Chaos exploded.
People screamed. Blood soaked the streets. Fires broke out as torches were thrown.
Sheila, the kind woman who handed out blankets the night before, ran for her life. But as she passed a broken alley, she spotted a small child collapsed on the ground—bruised and beaten, unable to move.
A knight raised his sword over the child.
Without thinking, Sheila screamed and sprinted. She threw herself forward, tackling the knight away. She held the child close.
Sheila: "It's okay... I'm here..."
The knight behind her didn't hesitate. He drove his blade through Sheila's back—piercing both of them.
The screaming faded.
The remaining villagers were rounded up and dragged to the village center. Kneeling, blades to their necks, they shook in terror. No one knew why this was happening.
Walter (terrified): "Why are you doing this?! Who are you!? What did we do wrong!?"
Jonas dismounted, walking slowly with disgust on his face.
Jonas: "Originally, we just came to ask questions. But then—" he pointed to his golden boot, now stained, "—I stepped on shit. And now the stench follows me."
Walter: "Y-you killed us... for that?"
Jonas: "For that!?"
He punched Walter across the face, sending him crashing to the ground.
Jonas: "You monkeys will never understand. I was born into royalty—raised to look flawless. Every detail of my appearance is worth more than your miserable lives. I was bred to shine, to stand above filth. And you... You stained me by not taking action to clean 'your' place. You ruined it."
He exhaled slowly, collecting himself.
Jonas: "Anyway... I almost forgot why we came here."
He stepped forward again.
Jonas: "Answer our question, and you might live. What do you know about the Scarlet Reaper?"
Walter: "Scarlet Reaper? I—I don't know anything about that!"
Without pause, Jonas sliced Walter's head open with a clean swing.
Jonas: "If you don't know the answer, don't speak."
Silence fell over the villagers. One man accidentally made eye contact with Jonas.
Jonas: "You. You look like you have answers."
Man (trembling): "I-I only know rumors. They say he's a man with dark blue hair, wearing a scarlet mask. A killer. Never leaves a trace. Everyone who's tried to find him comes back traumatized. They say he only targets Majestus soldiers—but no one knows why. Why do you want him?"
Jonas: "That's none of your business. But good. That means if we make ourselves known, he'll come find us."
Man: "S-So you'll spare me, right...?"
Jonas: "I did say that. But here's the thing... we can't let anyone go around saying 'white and gold knights' murdered an entire village."
Man: "W–wait! We had a deal!"
The other hostages broke into cries and desperate begging.
Jonas turned to his men.
Jonas: "Kill them all..."
