Author note: This is a prologue that takes place before the beginning of the first chapter and helps set up everything that follows.
The frail-looking young woman peacefully awoke from her long slumber and sat up in a daze, rubbing her eyes free of the rheum that hazes her already worsening sight. She leans to the side of her paltry bed to reach for her trusty round pair of glasses that she can't live without. She slowly equips the spectacles to her cold, pale face and takes a glance around the room. It was a very basic yet quirky room for a girl of her age. an alarm clock which read 11:00am atop the stand where her glasses once laid. A wardrobe to her right which had a gentle midnight blue door with white edges to compliment its old antique structure. Glaring at the wardrobe she is reminded that blue was always her favourite colour. In front of her was a shelf full of books neatly tucked away. It was a rather large shelf that was clearly out of place in a small cramped room like this, but this was once her pride and joy. Whilst not offering much, the room is her home, a safe haven, a sanctuary of sorts. within arms reach on her bed and to her left lay a book. It's the one she was reading last night. She picked it up from the corner shelf of the library she frequents a few days ago. Fantasy isn't usually her thing, but this book intrigued the girl. The title read [To Defy Your Destiny] written by Noami Adonai. When she asked the librarian about it, she said that it's never been borrowed before. This only sparked the girls' curiosity even more causing her to quickly borrow the book and hastily took it home. However, something strange occurred when she opened the book.

Instructions: Start to fall asleep at 11PM. when you awake you will not be in the world you once knew. Rather one of her past. you will change [Amelia Christabel] for the betterment of society. You have to unravel the [4 key incidents] that made [Amelia Christabel] recluse. Become her saviour and watch as she changes the world.
'This is a book about me? And it's telling me to save...myself? Change the world? our passion for writing was supposed to change the world? That silly dream of ours?'
Amelia began to flip through the rest of the book to find the other pages completely blank. As she slowly flips back to the first page to make sure she hadn't missed anything, she slams the book shut.
"..."
Amelia contemplates her situation for a bit before arriving at a conclusion on the matter at hand.
"maybe... I give it a go? After all, I have nothing to lose."
Amelia let out a hearty laugh which quickly dimmed into silence as she stared blankly at the book. She thought that maybe, just maybe this book could give her a second chance at her dream that was stripped away from her. She lays down on her bed and is enveloped in the warm softness of her duvet as she checks the clock. 11PM exactly. She's amazed that her life had fallen so low that she's about to follow through on the instructions of a book that peered in on her life. However, this was her last chance to change, she thought to herself as she dozed off into a deep sleep...
