[3:30 PM - Freya's House]
Arriving through the front doors was the only thing on the girl's mind. She was beyond exhausted from the amount of information she had learnt. She wanted to just go home and lay down. Even though it has only been a short while, she misses the comfort of her own room.
She managed to drag herself back to Freya's house and opened the big burly door.
"Hello! I am back!"
"Welcome home, honey."
Freya's mother stood across from the door in the hallway, waiting for the girl to arrive.
Freya's little sister is still young so Freya's mother works from home to make sure that she can pick up her daughter on time.
'How do I know that? Are Freya's memories interfering with my own?'
"Is something troubling you Freya? You look puzzled."
The girl snaps out of her trance and responds with a half-hearted smile.
"No…Everything is fine, don't worry mum. I am going to head to my room now. Goodbye."
Freya's mother is confused by the interaction, but begins to speak again as the girl's back could barely be visible passing by the top of the staircase banister.
"See you later honey, just so you know dinner is on the side for you to eat whenever! I love you!" she shouted into the staircase as Amelia had already scurried off upstairs.
"Hey sis!"
"Hmm?" The girl looks to her left to see Freya's sister, Freja.
"Do you want to hang out with me!? Mama bought me new books to read. I want you to read them to me!"
"Uhm sorry Freja, I can't right now. I am exhausted."
"That's fine! Please read them to me some other time? Promise me."
"Okay sure I promise."
[Freya's room]
"Sigh…"
Amelia jumps onto the bed, causing her limbs to almost go limp from exhaustion. She was not physically tired at all, but mentally she was on the verge of passing out. She could no longer keep her eyes open. It was almost as if a vice was keeping them shut. Amelia for the first time, fell asleep in this world.
When she awoke, The girl saw an unfamiliar yet familiar room. The lavender print. The shelf with the plushies and toys. The PC and desk. The closet, filled with designer brands. And most importantly the small handheld mirror tucked away in the desk drawer.
"So I'm still Freya, huh?"
Amelia points out, feeling a little defeated. She looks at herself a bit more intently and notices something from the reflection in the mirror. It was a book. It laid out flat on her bed where she just rested. the girl, curious, picks up the book.
[To Defy Your Destiny]
She recognised the book. It was the one she read before she wound up stuck in Freya's body. At this point, the girl struggles to be surprised by these supernatural occurrences anymore, almost as though she's been conditioned to deal with it. She opens the book out of curiosity. For the book to have shown up again, something must have changed the girl thinks to herself.
[Hints towards the first incident]
"The first day at school has been completed and with that, the first incident has begun. [Amelia Christabel] is a shy girl with an infectious, bright personality. During her first day, she became acquainted with [Freya Wilson]. It was this fateful meeting that brought agony and pain to the spirit of [Amelia Christabel]. The first incident's theme is "trust". Through Freya's cold and distant nature and mixed signals, Amelia began to not understand what it truly meant to be "friends". Were they friends or were they just acquaintances? [Amelia Christabel] lost her ability to trust the kindness of others and pushed others away.
As [Freya], you need to stop the cruel cycle that [Amelia Christabel] originally fell victim to at your hands. You have seen the message from destiny. Because of that, you will begin feeling the side effects as your soul is now intertwined with the destiny of [Freya Wilson]. Do not let that consume you. When you become contracted to destiny, you will be forced to partake in it. However, the biggest tip I can give you is that you need to deceive yourself into believing your actions are necessary for your destiny. Whatever you do, do not give up."
The girl finished reading the new passage left in the book. It did not leave her shocked like it did the first time. She gently closed the book and placed it in the bedside drawer. Amelia's face burned with determination. The book had given her courage or better yet, it had given her the will to continue. She sat back down on her bed and began to fall back into deep thought.
'How do I beat the first incident? As far as I recall, it took 2 months for me to finally break. However much I believed in Freya, she would always do things that made it seem like she didn't want to be friends. Whenever I felt us bonding, she would always pull away. She would speak of friendship and us being friends, but would only be cruel and cold towards me behind my back. From this, it took about 2 months before I began to try and distance myself from her, only for it to make the bullying worse. Furthermore, the worst event of my life took place. I lost all my trust in the people surrounding me. The only person I tried to interact with was my mother and she was blissfully unaware of what her cowardly daughter was going through. I can be as kind to myself as much as I want, but how am I going to be able to do that with the unnatural possession that takes place?'
The girl draws a blank for a moment, unable to think of a breakthrough.
'Ah. there is a way. Amelia Christabel is me after all. It is very easy to deceive destiny. There were a few conversations that I never got to hear in my previous world because Freya excluded me from them. The contractor of Destiny is purposefully vague. Their words are all merely suggestive. Wherever destiny is vague there is opportunity for change. The destiny of this Amelia can be different. I know it can.'
The girl gained some newfound hope with the passage of the book giving her the courage to keep going. It was a hellish first day and she learnt just as much about Freya as she did about herself. She can fix this. For both of them.
