"Madam, is this the only way?" A cold woman's voice sounded to Li Shen's ears.
Still in his mother's arms—feeling the warm, Li Shen just born a few minutes ago, looked at the woman who said that.
But the woman didn't pay attention to him.
Instead, she was looking a cold and mature woman. With the moonlight falling on her face, her soft skin seemed to be glowing—adding more charm to her already existing beauty.
It was like the goddess of moon herself was standing there.
However, at that moment, on her cold face, motherly love could be seen flowing in her clear eyes.
A moment, that was meant to be a heartfelt union between a young mother and her first child, turned into a dangerous yet painful separation between the mother and her child.
The woman stood still, like she didn't hear her servant's words.)
Instead, she continued looking at her child, who was in her arms.
Looking at her child's sweet face, the woman smiled softly, overflowing with motherly love.
Mother. Only one word echoed inside Li Shen's head.
As the woman continued looking at her child, she had unknowingly shed a drop of tear from her left eye.
That teardrop fell down from her and fell onto Li Shen's forehead, just right in between his eyes.
Then, it disappeared.
The woman immediately forced herself and stopped any more tears from coming out.
Then, she turned to her servant, who was standing by her side, and gave her child to her.
Before, saying anything, she tucked the warm clothes that was wrapping her child.
She looked at her child one last time before ultimately looking away.
She, then, looked at her servant and, in cold yet commanding tone, she instructed her. "Go, go and take him somewhere faraway. Faraway that no one from this clan find him."
"Go." She gave the order.
The servant looked at her master, wanting to say something, but ultimately stopped herself.
She put on a firm expression and nodded. "Yes."
Then, she turned around and was about to leave, when she heard her master's one last order.
"Xing Yu." She paused for a second and continued. "....remember, don't come back here."
Hearing her master, who she had accompanied for her whole life, the servant fell a pang in her heart, like something stabbed her heart.
She, without turning around, answered. "Yes." Just one word.
Holding the child, tightly in her arms, the servant disappeared from her master's sight.
When she appeared again, she was more than hundreds of meter away from where she way.
The servant gave a one last look towards the direction where her master was. And she looked down to the child in her arms.
Huh... what a tragic fate you have brought little one, to your mother and yourself. She said in her mind, looking at Li Shen.
Then, she without wasting any more time, turned and ran away quickly. Away from her master and his mother.
Unbeknownst to her, Li Shen was aware of what was happening.
To remember the moment he was currently facing, Li Shen channeled the moonlight power in his blood.
On his forehead, at the exact spot where his mother's tear fell, a clear yet bluish color mark appeared. A teardrop mark.

Back at the luxurious mansion, the woman, Li Shen's mother, stood still looking at the direction her child had left.
Unable to stop herself anymore, the tears she had been holding this whole time, came out of her eyes. And one by one, they dripped down her face and fell to the ground, continuously.
However, the sad scene didn't last long.
The woman felt the presence of intruders way beyond the walls of the mansion.
So, she immediately put on her usual cold and fierce expression. The tears dried up from her face like they were there in the first place.
In a cold angry voice, she spoke calmly yet loud enough for the intruders to hear. "How dare you mere ants appear here. Who gave you the authority to do so."
Then, a sharp suffocating pressure spread from her.
Hiding beyond the walls, some of the intruders fell unconscious as they were unable to bear the heavy pressure of the sharp will.
For the remaining ones, knowing that it was useless to continue hiding, they jumped out from their hiding spot and lunged at the woman.

From distances away, Li Shen saw a bright light back at the direction he left, followed by a loud booming sound.
Even though the woman also heard the sound, she didn't stopped herself and continued running.

After running for miles away, the woman finally arrived at a cave.
Without hesitation, she immediately ran inside it.
When she arrived inside the cave, she saw a platform in the middle with a huge ring structure, standing upright. It's height touching the top of the cave.
From the looks of it, it seemed to be made from heavy strong irons.
The woman hurriedly ran towards the platform and put down the child within the vicinity of the ring structure.
As she did that, she kept on looking back—trying to see if anyone was entering the cave.
After putting down the child, she turned and walked away from the platform.
When she was outside of the platform, she took out some shiny stones and threw them onto the ring structure.
All the stones stuck onto the ring, in a designated way.
Then, the woman released her Qi, trying to start the portal gateway.
Like luck was on her side, as soon as she channeled her Qi, a shield was immediately put on outside the platform.
Seeing that, the woman stopped herself.
Looking at the child inside the platform, who neither cried during the event nor made any sounds, she muttered. "From here on, it will depend on your luck whether you can survive or not."
As the light continued brightening up, Li Shen felt a warm feeling wrapping around him—above and outside his warm clothes.
As the process was going on, the woman suddenly turned around and looked at the entrance of the cave.
She immediately put on guard and said. "Come out."
"Haha..., it looks like I'm not late." Then, laughing, a man in dark clothes came out of the shadow.
Due to intensity of the light, Li Shen could see what was going on, but he could hear it clearly.
"Why can't you guys just let this little one go?" The woman said somewhat tired.
"You know exactly why? The celestial Li clan can not let the news out that a mortal was born in out lineage." As the man said that, he immediately attacked. But his target was not the woman, instead it was the platform.
But, the woman already expected that. So, she immediately appeared in front of the man and blocked his way. And to keep him busy, she immediately attacked him using all her might from the start, as she knew she was not match for the man.
So, to caught him off gaurd and take an advantage, she immediately started with her most powerful attacks.
The man expected her to jump in front him and try to block him, but what he didn't expect was for her to attack him with the most powerful attacks from the start.
Shit. He cursed himself for overestimating himself.
He gritted his teeth and stopped him from charging forward. And putting up his arms in front himself, he channeled his energy and blocked the oncoming offense.
Boom...boom..
Cracks....
Thud....
Bam... bam....
The sound of their fighting immediately started off inside the cave. It didn't take long for them to immediately took the fight to the highest intensity.
Due to the woman catching the man off guard from the start, the woman had the advantage and kept her momentum.
But, since she was the weaker one, her stamina was about to run off.
Even so, gritting her teeth, the woman kept on attacking.
Seeing her expression, the man knew it won't be long before she immediately run out of her energy.
However, before he could be happy, he saw the light of the portal intensity to its peak.
Before he could do anything, the light intensified. In a split second, the portal gave a blinding light and everything turned dark inside.
After the light faded, the body was gone from the platform.
Seeing that, the woman knew she had completed her job.
The man also looked at the scene. But, unlike the woman, he was in anger. He knew had failed to complete his mission.
As he stood there in anger, the woman sucked up all her remaining energy and attack the platform.
When the man felt the changed, he immediately turned and looked at the woman.
Seeing her, he knew exactly what the woman was trying to do so.
So, he quickly charged towards her, intending to stop her action.
However, luck was clearly on the woman's side, when the man was just one inch away from her, her attack was launch off —flying towards the portal platform.
Thud...
The man successfully knocked off the woman to the ground, but he was not successful in stopping her action.
In front his eyes, the portal platform blew off.
Boom....boom...
Rumble...
As soon as the attack hit the structure, it all came crashing down. Even the cave was shaken up.
Looking the, now destroyed, portal platform, the man's anger was intensified more.
But now, he could not do anything more.
So, he picked up the unconscious woman from the ground and left the cave.
The only thing he could do at the moment was to hand over the woman to his superiors for interrogation.
