Synopsis
Ron Mills never asked to be reborn in Mystic Falls — especially not in a world crawling with vampires, witches, and secrets. Armed with a strange power known only as the Talisman, Ron can unlock ancient seals, each granting him a unique supernatural ability. Speed. Invisibility. Strength. But every new seal comes with a cost — one that slowly erodes the humanity he’s struggling to hold onto. Caught between friendship and vengeance, love and survival, Ron walks a razor’s edge between man and monster. As the line blurs, Mystic Falls will learn that not every threat drinks blood... some are forged by fate itself. “In a world ruled by blood and secrets, the Talisman might be his greatest gift or the curse that ends them all.”

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Last Scroll and a New Beginning

Ron Mills lay sprawled across his bed on an ordinary night, aimlessly scrolling through videos on his phone. A new clip popped up—a "choose one of two" poll.

Feeling bored, Ron lazily lifted his chin from his palm and flicked his long middle finger upward to scroll past it. But instead of swiping, his finger accidentally tapped on one of the options.

A voting result appeared: 51% vs. 49%, and his vote had broken the tie. The faint glow of the screen drew some focus back into his otherwise empty eyes.

The options were "Obtain the Emperor Armor Belt" and "Obtain the Twelve Zodiac Talismans."

Scrolling through the comments, Ron noticed that more people had wanted the belt—but since it required a specific bloodline to summon, many said it would be useless to ordinary people.

The talismans, however, could be used by anyone who possessed them. Each one had unique powers, which made them far more tempting. The votes had stayed nearly even, until Ron's single tap made the talismans win.

"How childish," Ron muttered. "It's not like picking it means I'll actually get anything."

He snorted. "What's with these videos lately? 'Pick three out of ten options'—and it's always about mansions, luxury cars, or beautiful women. Total nonsense."

Still mumbling, Ron went to flick his finger again to skip the video.

This time, the video showed a creator with three lines of text floating above his head.

The first line read: "After clapping, you'll transmigrate to—", followed by rapidly scrolling worlds: John Wick, One Piece, Naruto, Marvel, and other familiar titles.

The second line was "Your starting profession", flashing through random roles—from merchants and thieves to even funeral workers and con artists.

The third line was "Your supernatural ability", flickering with choices like X-ray vision, flight, immortality, and so on.

When the creator clapped his hands, all three lines froze: Transmigrate to The Primordial Era, set up a street stall, and possess the ability of flight.

Ron chuckled. "Flying? In the Primordial Era? What's the point? Every monster there already flies. What's next—flying to grab the best stall spot faster?"

When the video ended, Ron stretched, shaking out his numb hand.

"Weird. I haven't seen any pretty girls on my feed for a while," he muttered.

As he scrolled again, his phone suddenly froze. Picking it up, Ron noticed it was getting hot. He sighed. Because his phone was charging, the cable limited his reach, and it had already been heating up—forcing him to lie awkwardly while scrolling.

Seeing that it was stuck and overheating, Ron decided to unplug and restart it. But when he looked at the screen, the video had frozen mid-roll—displaying:

Transmigrate to: The Vampire Diaries

Identity: Orphaned Rich Kid

Ability: Twelve Zodiac Talismans

Ron blinked. "Huh. Guess I really am destined to mess with these talismans today. 'The Vampire Diaries'? Never heard of it."

He grabbed the phone with one hand and reached down with the other to unplug the charging cable.

The moment he yanked it—BOOM!

The phone exploded.

Ron didn't even have time to react. The blast wasn't fatal by itself, but because he was still holding the charging cord, the explosion exposed live copper wiring. It was a 120W supercharger—thick, powerful. The current surged through his hand.

Ron Mills was electrocuted on the spot.

When he opened his eyes again, Ron gasped and shot upright.

"Where... where am I?"

The unfamiliar room around him looked expensive—luxury furniture, high ceilings, spotless decor. Whoever owned this place was definitely rich.

As he swung his legs off the bed, fragments of his death flashed in his mind. Alongside them appeared twelve glowing talismans slowly rotating in his consciousness. Only three were lit—Dog, Horse, and Rabbit.

Recalling their powers, Ron realized that even if the others were dormant, these three alone were incredible:

Dog Talisman: Immortality.

Horse Talisman: Healing and regeneration.

Rabbit Talisman: Super speed.

"With the Horse and Dog, I can't be hurt or killed," Ron said, a grin spreading across his face. "And if I can't win, I can just run. I'm practically invincible."

As he celebrated, a wave of new memories filled his mind—transmigration perks, apparently. His new body was a 16-year-old version of himself—taller, fitter, and absurdly handsome.

And best of all? He was still an orphan—but a rich one.

His last surviving relative had passed away recently in a quiet little town called Mystic Falls, leaving behind both a fortune and a house. That relative had spent years abroad before retiring there, and now everything—money, property, and assets—belonged to Ron.

"So… this is the world of The Vampire Diaries, huh?"

He glanced at the talismans spinning faintly in his mind. The name Mystic Falls made it clear—he was in the world his phone had shown before exploding.

After experimenting with his powers, Ron was stunned. The Horse Talisman healed injuries instantly—before his nerves even registered pain. The Dog Talisman kept him from dying no matter what happened. And though he couldn't fully test the Rabbit Talisman without proper equipment, he could already move faster than any normal human.

"Guess Wolverine's got competition," Ron joked to himself.

With these three abilities alone, he had little to fear from this world—vampires or not. Immortal, rich, and with no one to threaten him—life was looking good.

After cleaning up, he checked the time. Today was his transfer day at school.

Thankfully, the "bonus memories" included fluent English. Otherwise, he'd be completely lost here.

"No idea what kind of world this really is," he mused, "but for now, I'll just play the part of a low-key rich kid."

Ron grabbed his student documents, headed down to the garage, and slid into a sleek sports car.

At sixteen, having a driver's license and a car wasn't unusual here—and for a wealthy orphan like Ron Mills, it was only natural.

As the engine roared to life, he smirked.

"Alright, Mystic Falls… let's see what you've got."
