Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 01: INTRODUCTION OF THE LUST SYSTEM

"Aah I am fucking bored my life is not what I had expected after my graduation years. I had big dreams and huge ambition but what of it now I am struggling in my life. No social circle, no friends, no girlfriend and not even a good job"

The dull gray of the apartment complex stretched out before me, a mirror of my own bleak existence. Joey Stewart, 27, apartment manager and dreamer of bigger things. Where had it all gone wrong? My graduation had been a beacon of hope, a promise of a future filled with ambition and success. Now, I was just another cog in the machine, grinding away at a job that offered no fulfillment.

"Good morning, Mina," I greeted her, my voice a mix of longing and resignation. "Going to college today?"

"Yes, Mr. Joey," she replied, her smile a beacon of youthful energy that I couldn't help but envy.

Every morning, as the sun began its ascent, I would see her. Mina, a college student, her uniform clinging to her body in all the right places. Her skirt was short, revealing legs that seemed to go on forever, and her shirt was tight, highlighting curves that made my heart race. Mina's hourglass figure was a vision, her movements confident and graceful, a stark contrast to my own awkward existence.

God, I wish I was her boyfriend. To explore every inch of her body, to lose myself in her youthful allure. But what chance does a common apartment manager have with a girl like her? She's probably got a boyfriend already, some lucky bastard who gets to experience all that she has to offer.

The apartment complex was a ten-story building on the outskirts of the city, a far cry from the glamorous high-rises downtown. It housed those struggling to make ends meet, and the owner, a miserly man, cared little for the deteriorating conditions. My low salary was supplemented by a rent-free flat, a small consolation for my thankless job.

After a day of cleaning and assisting tenants, I would retreat to my office at the gate, my mind a blur of exhaustion and unfulfilled desires. Today, however, was salary day, the one day of the month when I could treat myself to a decent meal at a restaurant. The rest of the month would be a dreary cycle of dried noodles and cheap rations.

As I stepped out into the main city, the vibrant lights and bustling energy were a stark contrast to my dreary existence. I made my way to my favorite restaurant, a place I could only afford to visit once every few months. The rising inflation and my meager salary made such indulgences a rare treat.

"Excuse me, young man," a voice called out from behind me. I turned to see an old woman, her face etched with wrinkles, leaning on a walking stick. Despite her advanced age, there was a certain strength in her gaze, a silent command that demanded respect.

"Yes, grandma, how can I help you?" I asked, my stomach growling with anticipation of my long-awaited meal. The old woman's pleading eyes spoke volumes of her misery.

"I lost my wallet and I'm very hungry," she explained, her voice trembling with desperation.

Damn, I really don't have the money to feed her. But how can I turn her down? Her eyes are killing me.

"Would you like to eat with me?" I found myself asking, my voice steady despite the internal turmoil. The old woman's eyes softened, and she nodded gratefully.

As we sat down to eat, the old woman started to ask me about my job and about my social life even if i don't want to answer her i couldn't ignore her strong presance so i told her everything about my miserable life.

"oh my boy looks like you are having a struggle in your life, i can understand when you are sitting in your youthful days with an old hag like me not with a beautiful woman"

i tried to laugh but i guess she could see my hesitation, we finished eating it was my first time eating with someone else in years last time i guess it was in a farewell party well i said to myself once in a while it doesn't hurt to socialise even if it is an old hag.

"i am full" the old woman thanked me for such a delicous food.

it's not a big deal grandma, i am glad you enjoyed the food, i said

there are not many people left with a good heart so i am blessing you and from tommorow your life will change in a dramatic way as she said i couldn't undertsand but i thought she is giving a blessing i smiled at her and went back to toward my room and slept

As we sat down to eat, the old woman's eyes, sharp and knowing, fixed on me. She began to ask about my job, my social life, my dreams—questions I hadn't entertained in years. Despite my reluctance, her presence was commanding, and I found myself spilling the details of my miserable existence.

"Oh my boy, looks like you're having a struggle in your life," she said, her voice a mix of sympathy and wisdom. "I can understand. You're sitting here with an old hag like me, not with a beautiful woman."

I tried to laugh, but it felt forced. The old woman's gaze was unyielding, seeing right through my facade. We finished our meal, and I realized this was the first time I'd eaten with someone else in years. The last time had been at a farewell party, a distant memory of a life that seemed to belong to someone else.

"It's not a big deal, grandma," I said, my voice steady despite the turmoil inside. "I'm glad you enjoyed the food."

The old woman smiled, her eyes twinkling with a secret knowledge. "There aren't many people left with a good heart," she said. "I am blessing you, and from tomorrow, your life will change in a dramatic way."

What does she mean by that? A blessing? I guess it can't hurt. I smiled back, a mixture of skepticism and hope, and made my way back to my room. As I lay down to sleep, the old woman's words echoed in my mind, a promise of change that seemed both exciting and terrifying.
