Synopsis
Shadowbound: The Necromancer’s Disciple Riku Hayashi was just another invisible boy in high school—bullied, isolated, and forgotten by the world. His only refuge was silence, his only strength was enduring another day. But when fate leads him to a mysterious artifact and the voice of a long-forgotten Necromancer, his life changes forever. Granted the power to open portals between worlds, Riku steps into a realm where strength defines existence. Here, people are born with powers—bloodline magics, martial gifts, elemental arts—while Riku starts with nothing. Nothing… except the teachings of the Necromancer. Through brutal training and deadly trials, he awakens powers unlike any other: Eyes of Insight — to see through lies, status, and intentions. Copy & Fusion — the ability to steal and combine skills into new, devastating techniques. Artifact Forging — crafting weapons and armor beyond imagination. Shadow Command — summoning and controlling the defeated to fight at his side. Bound to shadows yet blessed by a divine light, Riku’s path is one of struggle, growth, and revelation. From a boy crushed by cruelty, he will rise as the Necromancer’s Disciple—one who will carve his name into both worlds. But power has a price. And truth… is the sharpest blade of all.

Chapter 1: The Boy No One Saw

The classroom buzzed with laughter and chatter, but none of it reached Riku Hayashi. He sat in the back, next to the window, pretending to copy notes. His black messy hair fell over his eyes, hiding the emptiness behind them.

A burst of laughter erupted from the front. Someone called his name.

"Hey, Riku! Did you forget your lunch again?"

Snickers followed. He tightened his grip on his pen until his knuckles turned white.

Just ignore them. Don't let it get to you.

The voices blurred together—mockery he had heard a hundred times before.

"Why do you even come to school?"

"Pathetic."

Riku's eyes wandered outside the window. Clouds drifted slowly across the sky, free and untouchable. Unlike him.

Loneliness pressed down on his chest, heavier than any words thrown at him. He wanted to scream, but no sound left his lips. He was invisible. Always had been.

But in the deepest shadows of his heart, a spark flickered—an unspoken vow.

One day… I'll be strong enough to make them see me.
