It's the Mughal Empire era. The Mughals have already established themselves in India. They are now in the midst of expanding their empire.
In a rural and distinct district in the empire named Saaya Gaon, a boy woke up from sleep in the morning. Sajid Khan, an orphan at 15 years of age, woke up from his sleep.
What a nice day it is, Sajid thought. Just waking up and finding the day to be gloomy and dark is just my thing. I should go and freshen myself up, or that old bastard would nag me again. After finishing his work in his room, he started his journey towards blacksmithing. Sajid is an orphan at 15 years of age. His parents died when he was just 11 years old. Being orphaned at such a young age, Sajid realised the harsh truth of this world quite early in his life. But even after all the setbacks he found in his life, he still tries to remain cheerful and look forward to the future to live a better life. After his parents died, the neighborhood uncle and aunt took care of him, and his uncle taught him blacksmithing. They uncle and aunt did not have any children, and they treated him as their own son. Uncle envisions that in the future, Sajid will inherit his shop and look after it.
After reaching the destination and greeting that old bastard, he was just about to get back to his work when suddenly the old man started yapping again: Sajid, things have been looking bad for the past few days. You should come to work early and leave early; who knows what horrors lie past the boundary. Sajid acknowledged his word by nodding.
Although the old man appears stern and his face is not quite amicable, he is still a kind-hearted man who has given this teenager a job in these harsh times. So Sajid is still very grateful to him. After that, Sajid started working in the smithy while other shop owners and businessmen were also starting to open their shops. In just a few minutes, the whole market area became livelier as vendors and sellers came and went to the market. Said also started on his work. After an hour, the guards from the castle came to the shop, and the old man started arguing with the guards. Sajid knew that the old man was senile, but he did not expect it to be this crazy for him to be arguing with the guards. One has to know that the guards in this district are under the direct rule of the nawab, and all the nawabs are under the supervision of the grand sultan of the empire. To argue with the guard, one must have a very strong backing, which Sajid did not know the old man had.
While they were arguing, there were murmurs of the people panicking, people leaving their work, and running into the street. Sajid also heard these whispers and sneakily ran into the street to learn what was going on. But after going to the street, all the people, including the guards and the old man, looked up into the sky. The sun was darkening like an eclipse, and an ominous feeling gripped everyone's heart. The city alarm bell rang, and everyone started running like headless chickens. Although the city is protected by the dome barrier, nobody knows if the dome would be able to protect it from them.
Sajid is also thinking of running when all of a sudden, people started screaming and were writhing in agony, and their bodies were disintegrating and appearing like they were being removed the existence. Then the real horror came from the eclipsed sun, and nightmarish skeletons with a dark aura were descending from the sun. The whole ordeal was a nightmare to Sajid, who had only heard about the magic and stuff and never really witnessed them.
The sky took a red and dark hue, and everywhere was chaos. Sajid tried to find his uncle in the midst of chaos, but couldn't find him. His heart tightened from thinking about the worst possible outcome. He tried to run towards his aunt's house to see if the old man had reached his house, and if his aunt was safe. But he could not even go there as the skeletons were blocking the road, and there was chaos everywhere.
Then Sajid's survival instincts kicked in, and he started running. He started running towards his house in the room to find safety, and before running, he also took a spear for protection, which he found on the street, probably from one of the guards. Along the way, he found that the skeletons are killing people with their scythes. Being a teenager and not being so tall, he was able to hide between the crowd and the houses and skip past these abominations while going to the house.
Finally, he reached his house. But just as he was about to turn around a doorknob knob he saw the reflection of a skeleton behind him in the mirror. Chills run down his spine. Sajid quickly ducked as the skeleton brought down his scythe towards him. After ducking and gaining some distance, he found this particular reaper quite different from the other ones.
He was a lot smaller in size compared to the other reapers and almost the same height as him. Then this reaper's eyes were also a bit different. while others had a red hue in their eye socket, but this one had a purple eye socket. But Sajid didn't have much time to wander around as the reaper again locked his eyes with him, and he started running. Sajid was scared out of his wits, and the only place he had in his mind to get out of this hell was outside the dome barrier. Sajid ran for his life, and the skeleton pursued him with interest.
Finally, Sajid saw the dome barrier and thought to himself that if the dome barrier couldn't protect the people, then he'd better take his chance outside. But as he was going outside the barrier, starting with his legs, his body started dissipating like he was being removed from reality. Sajid fell, and his body was in complete agony, and his body started shaking.
The reaper caught up to him and raised his scythe as if his judgment was coming, but just then the sun was fully eclipsed and a violent gust of wind blew everywhere, and the wind blew the sajid outside the dome. But just as Sajid was outside the dome, the reaper managed to strike to down and cut his body in half.
