Synopsis
Heroes of Avangard: War of the Celestianites is a fantasy adventure about Lens Don, a 12-year-old Celestianite boy famous for being clumsy, insecure, and underestimated. Determined to prove he’s more than a walking embarrassment, Don enrolls at Insane Middle School, where he dreams of becoming a true hero. But everything changes when an ancient prophecy names him as the one destined to fulfill the “Celestial’s Fight”—the key to ending the brutal war between the Celestianites and the Lunaranites. For generations, both sides have battled for the Lost Key, a relic said to decide the fate of Avangard itself. If the Lunaranites seize it, their tyrant King Dreadixz will plunge the land into ruin. To stop them, Don must travel across Avangard’s dangerous continents, face legendary beasts, and ultimately challenge Dreadixz himself. With the help of his friends—Olsen, Prince, Demaurion, Archie, Ella, and Power—Don sets out to prove he isn’t weak, but a hero filled with unbreakable determination. Will he rise to claim his destiny and save Avangard before it’s too late?

Chapter 1 - Lens Don the Celestianite! An HoA Short Story

HEY! YOU! YEAH YOU!

As soon as you click on this book don't even THINK about not reading it, because you're gonna be missing out on the awesomeness that comes next! AND I DON'T WANT THAT. So stay here, and enjoy the story!

This is me, sitting in my dorm room at Insane Middle School. My room was clean—bed made, everything in its place. I had studied, organized my things, and made sure everything was perfect. My shelf was stacked with books about space, fantasy, sci-fi, combat, and history. I lay on my bed, staring out the window at the sunset, the sky glowing orange, thinking, Yeah… today's gonna be perfect—

(WHAM!)

Olsen SLAMS through my goddamn door. I jolted upright as he shouted,

"DON! GET YOUR LAZY ASS UP RIGHT NOW! SCHOOL STARTS IN A FEW MINUTES!!!!"

"School's starting?" I screeched, darting into my closet like your dad catching you sneaking in past curfew. I threw on my red hoodie and blue jeans and bolted past the door, sending papers flying off my desk. I looked at the clock—8:55 AM. FIVE MINUTES. FIVE MINUTES UNTIL I GET MY BUTT TO CLASS.

I dropped to all fours, wings spread, eyes sharp as hell, crackling with energy, tail wagging, whispering to myself, "Gotta catch class."

And when I say I darted, I DARTED LIKE A STAR. I zoomed past Prince, who was holding a stack of books, sending them tumbling. I sped through rows of lockers, doors, and chaotic Elemental students. I shoved, dodged, and even punched my way through the halls. Finally, I BURST through the classroom door so loud that people outside probably heard it.

I teleported into my seat, pencil ready, bracing myself for combat techniques from Mr. Bassi. Everyone else was in their new spots—Ella working on a gnarly math problem with Angel, Mason happily eating doughnuts, and me sitting next to Olsen. Bassi was chilling at his desk, looking over papers, completely unfazed.

I smirked at Olsen.

"Boy, if I'd been late, I would've been cooked! Nobody survives two-hour detention with Principal Crakk."

Olsen shrugged and leaned over, whispering, "Did you know everyone in class got new seats?"

I glanced around—yep, everyone was sitting somewhere new. I leaned back, arms crossed, yawning. "Yeah… and?"

"Look to your left," Olsen said, pointing.

I rolled my eyes, then froze. Starla. Her face was inches from mine—almost nose-to-nose. She smelled amazing, and I couldn't breathe. My face went beet red.

She leaned back, giggling. "So, Don, how are you late again?"

I tried to speak, but words betrayed me.

"I… uh… well… Starla, you know—I'M ALWAYS LATE! Y-yeah, always. Uhm… dragon duty…?"

Starla burst out laughing. "Don, the only dragon duty I see is your tail—it's already turning pink!"

I froze. My tail—pink as the evening sky. Celestianite fact: tails blush when you're flustered. I buried my face in my hands, squeaking, "Starla, will you NOT?"

She snickered. "Oh, come on, dragon boy. It's a normal thing for Celestianites! Happens to me too sometimes. I'll text you later, okay~"

I heard text you later and completely lost it. Fainted right there on the floor. Eyes pale white, face crimson as the YouTube logo, tail pink as your OnlyFans.

Yep. Surviving class and a middle school crush might just be the hardest battle I've ever faced.

Hopefully.
