Chapter 1 - Prologue - Realms & Ruin

・ ゚☆ Narrator's POV ☆゚.

Feyland... A planet where every fey lives. They all have wings, yes, but that's where their similarities end.

Feyland is home to many kinds of fey. Some are bright and colorful, while others are filled with darkness. Their differences caused tension, and soon enough, borders were drawn. Feyland was divided into four realms.

Four realms.

Let me introduce the first one... the Lumi Realm, where healing and pastel colors bloom. It is the most populated realm, home to gentle, light-filled beings called the Luminous Fey.

Next is the Dream Realm, a place so mysterious that no one knows if it truly exists. No one has ever seen it with open eyes and even in the past. The fey there only appear in dreams or fairytales. They are vivid and bright, never pastel. They are called the Somnari Fey.

Then comes the Noxi Realm, which has been silent for decades. The fey here are feared, known as villains who want to own everything. These are the darkest fey to ever live. They do not glow. They are pure shadows. They are known as the Noxian Fey.

And lastly, the most powerful of all... the Abyssalis Realm, once home to the dark yet glowing fey. These were the strongest of their kind. But now, they are believed to have vanished. No one has seen them again, and most believe they no longer exist. They are called the Abyssal Fey.

They are remembered for their power, but they also held deep, hidden weaknesses that were never revealed.

The division of realms, the fall of the Abyssal Fey... all began with something small. The Miraeth Rings.

Two decades ago, there were no borders in Feyland. Every fey lived together as neighbors, friends, and allies.

But while they lived side by side, love between different kinds was forbidden.

The Luminous Royals ruled the planet, known for bringing joy and healing. Yet their leadership was under the watch of Abyssal and Noxian overseers, for power was balanced across realms.

It was written in the Five Rules of Feyland that no fey could love outside their kind. It was believed to be a divine law, said to be passed down by the unseen Feylord, the god of their world.

Luminous with Luminous. Abyssal with Abyssal. Noxian with Noxian. Somnari with Somnari. Breaking this law meant a decade of imprisonment. For the higher-ups, it was more than a rule... it was sacred.

But living together in a world without walls made it hard to control the heart.

There was an Abyssal Fey named Velithra. She had no noble title, no rare gift. But her heart belonged to Solin, a prince of the Luminous realm.

They loved in secret, hidden behind starlit skies and whispered promises. But hiding grew heavy. They longed for more.

One day, Velithra crossed paths with a Noxian Fey named Noirenne.

"I know what you're looking for," Noirenne said, her voice low, almost echoing.

"You... you know?" Velithra asked, shaken.

"You fell in love with the prince," Noirenne replied. "But sadly, he is not Abyssal like you."

Velithra's heart pounded in fear. "Please... don't tell anyone. We've kept it secret."

Noirenne gave a cold chuckle. "I won't tell, dear," she said with a smirk. "In fact, I'm here to help you."

"You can help me?" Velithra asked.

Noirenne nodded.

That was how it began. Noirenne gave her the Miraeth Ring... a cursed gift disguised as a miracle. When Velithra wore it, she took on the form of a Lumifey. Her wings shimmered in pastel. And with that, Solin revealed their love to the world. He introduced her to his parents. For a while, they were happy.

But the joy did not last.

Velithra had unknowingly paid a price for the ring, something important, something sacred. The ring consumed her, little by little. Her heart changed. Half of it turned Noxian. Half remained Abyssal.

And she was not the only one.

More Abyssals received Miraeth Rings. More fell. One by one, they were corrupted, turned into something else. The Noxians succeeded. They brought down the most powerful kind to ever live... the Abyssal Fey.

In the chaos that followed, the Luminous realm raised a border. They shut their gates and never looked back. Many Lumifey believe there are four borders, but they do not truly understand what lies beyond.

Time passed.

The prince became king of the Lumi Realm. He waited, but Velithra never returned. Instead, a baby arrived at the kingdom gates... her wings soft, her aura glowing. Alongside her, a letter.

Velithra had died giving birth. The child was his daughter.

He named her Lumielle, the future queen of Lumi Realm.

Lumielle grew up kind, beautiful, and gifted. She had powers no one else possessed. Though she never knew her mother, her father raised her with all the love he had.

But while the kingdom smiled upon her light... someone else was watching from afar.

A girl hidden in silence, longing for the warmth of a family she never had. She was forgotten by most, feared by others.

No one knew she still lived.

No one knew she was the last Abyssal Fey.

And she was too powerful for the Noxians to touch.

So they waited.

And the world stayed quiet.
