A fully dark night with glittery stars, but suddenly a meteoroid just passes by and turns that night into bright day for some time. The whole mountain was just looking like a shadow because of the light coming from its back.
Meanwhile...
In someone's house near that mountain. A girl around the age of 17 is sleeping in her room, but as the meteoroid passes by, she wakes up sighing heavily and shouts, "Dad, please don't go this time. Please don't leave me alone."
Realizing, still breathing a little heavily, "Ah... again that dream! Ugh!"
(Crying silently) "Why... why, Dad, why did you leave me alone? You used to call me your princess, but you left your princess alone! Even when she was just 8. Where are you?" After some time, she slept while sobbing and hugging her knees.
In the morning...
"Aanha! Wake up... it's already 8 am. You'll be late for school." (from the back door)
Aanha: "I'm up, Mom" (still on the bed). Then she wakes up, makes her bed properly, and rushes to the bathroom to get ready. Quickly, she comes out, takes her backpack hurriedly, and grabs a sandwich in her hand. Then she goes downhill on her bicycle to school.
After 20 minutes, she reaches the school and gets into the classroom. Then someone jumps on her. It was none other than her friend Mika.
Mika: "Oh, Aanha... you're late, like always, but at least before the teacher." Then they go to their seats. As they sit properly, they hear a shout from behind; it was their funny-bunny friend Yun.
Aanha & Mika: "OH! YUN, WILL YOU MAKE US DEAF...?"
Yun: "Hehe... I was just reminding you guys that I'm also here."
Mika: "But when did you come?"
Yun: "Just now... You know what! Today, I just escaped by seconds at the door. Guard Uncle was closing the door, and then I came like 'jhuuuummm'..." (trying to add a sound effect).
Mika: "Then?"
Yun: "Then... I got a crash with Mr. Kang 😒; he scolded me a ton, and then I escaped somehow." Both Aanha and Mika laughed at him; he pouted. Then the teacher enters the classroom. Teacher: "Sit down, everyone." The class goes on as usual, and time skips to departure time at 3 pm.
Yun: "Today was really a tiring day. I'm so done with Guard Uncle's dog. He ran after me like mad and made me run for half an hour. Then Guard Uncle came and stopped him. Then that torturing math class. Ahah! Who gave that substitute class to math...?" (irritated)
Aanha: I had a headache in that class too.
Mika: Yeah!, substitute teachers are always tough.
Yun: I'm just glad I survived without getting detention.
As they chat, they pack up their bags and head out of the classroom. Outside, they walk together, enjoying the fresh air.
Yun: Guys, I'm so behind on this assignment. I still have to finish like, half of it.
Mika nods sympathetically. "I know, me too. I've got a bit left to do.
Aanha: Guys... but that assignment needs to be submitted till tomorrow. Its the deadline. Mrs. shin told us today in class.
Yun: WHAT? oh no now how will I complete that... I have just a day left.
Mika: Yun not a day, you have only some hours and a night. ( correcting and teasing yun)
Yun: you too Mika... and Aanha what about you?
Aanha : I have almost completed it, just a little touch up and then done.
Yun's eyes widen . "You're almost done? How did you manage that?"
Aanha smiles. "I started early, I guess.''
Both Mika and Yun: help us Aanhaaa....
Aanha: Of course, but I need a choco pie as my treat.
Mika and Yun: sure..
Aanha: Ok then let's meet at our place at 4pm, and Yun especially you be there at time.
Mika and Yun: done
[Actually, Aanha and Mika are childhood friends and they live near to each others house from when Aanha had came there to live. they live uphill and Yun lives down hill and he usually comes late]
Aanha comes home and opens gate with the help of spare keys as her mom had gone at work and no one was at home. They both live alone. She goes to her room and let her body fall on the bed lifelessly. She slowly drift into sleep while staring at the ceiling unknowingly. Then she sees a familiar shadow slowly going from the dark room towards door from which bright light is coming. That shadow said nothing just kept going and slowly vanishes deep into that bright light. Then she wakes up and finds herself still in her school dress and fully wet with sweat. She hears Mika calling her name from outside. she looks outside the window and says Mika to wait 5 minutes for her. then she quickly changes her dress and takes her assignments and notes and goes to Mika. They both goes to their place where they usually meet, the place was a corner of the nearby garden where two benches are arranged in a face to face sitting arrangement with a dense tree nearby and a light pole. when they reached there they found no one. Then suddenly something heavy and long rope like but soft and cold falls on both of them. They both shouted their lungs out, Aaaaaahhhhh... it was a snake but a fake one. Mika saw up and it was none other than Yun.
Mika: ARE YOU MAD? Have you lost it.... On the other side both Yun and Mika listens a thud sound. Aanha has fainted.
Both Mika and Yun: AANHA.... Now Yun really got scared and quickly comes down, Mika turns Aanha and taps her face, Yun goes and get some water to sprinkle on her face. she didn't wakes up. Mika was tensed and Yun kept say sorry and it felt like he was about to cry. Then Aanha wakes up laughing uncontrollably.
(shocked)Yun: ooh! so you faked it.
Aanha: Do think only you can trick us and prank.
Yun: This is not fair...
Aanhaa: What not fair? I just let you have the taste of your own medicine.
Mika: This is not fair you both tricked me. I knew Yun is such a knuckle head for sure but I didn't expect this from you Aanha.
Both Yun and Aanha: hehe🫣
Aanha playfully rolls her eyes. "Sure, because we're clearly the geniuses here." The three friends share a laugh and dive into their work, determined to finish the assignment on time.
As they work, Yun frequently asks for help, and Aanha and Mika patiently guide him through the tough parts. With their combined efforts, they make significant progress.
After 3 hours they finalize their work and review it together. Yun breathes a sigh of relief. "Thanks, guys. I don't know what I would've done without you." Mika smiles, "That's what friends are for." Aanha nods in agreement. The three friends high-five each other, feeling proud of their collaboration and relieved that the assignment is complete.
While they were talking like this Aanha realise it was 7:30 already, then they decide to go back to their home and meet next day in class saying good bye to each other. When Aanha and Mika was going they find Mika's mother on the way. She was going downhill to the market and she asks Mika to come with her to help.
Aanha was going alone, it was already dark and the only source of light there were street lights at a little far distanced to each other from which some were flickering too. When she reaches half way she sees an old lady whom she used to call 'granny' from her childhood. She used to help her when she was little and her granny used to give her sweets. Now, granny was going to her house which was far a little from Aanha's house to the upper side of the hill, holding three heavy bags full of woods, grocery, some medicinal herbs and cloths. Aanha decides to help her and approaches...
Aanha: Hey! granny, let me help you ( takes all the three bags from her hand).
Granny: Oh Aanha, my little child! they are so heavy atleast give me one bag (knowing that Aanha would not give her all bags).
Aanha: Granny... I am not little anymore. I'm 17, so I can handle these three bags. Don't worry.
Granny: you're always little for me... I've seen you since you were 5, hopping all around and still tried to help me, passing me herbs, bowl, mortar, little bottles of essential oil and many more. You never changed for me Aanha.
Talking like that they both reached to granny's house which was old, like built decades ago. Aanha goes in and placed all the things inside to their respective places (woods and grocery in the kitchen, herbs in med room, and left over things in the hall. Granny gives Aanha water to drink and a new sweet to eat.
Aanha: ummm.. granny this is so tasty in all until I have tasted and you have made.
Granny: you always say this whenever I gives you a new one.
Aanha: hehe... because its indeed is.
Granny goes to her room and comes back with a wooden box which had carvings with some golden coloured metal. [ it wasn't gold but some kind of alloy]. She gives the box to Aanha and says "I wanted to give you the day after tomorrow, on your birthday but my child due to some reasons I have to go from here tomorrow, don't open it now. Open it that day and see what's in this. ok, so promise me you'll open it on your birthday only" Aanha: ok promise... After saying 'thank you' to her she goer back to her home.
Today again her mom was late because the doors were still locked. she should have came at 8 but was already 8:40. Aanha sighs and goes in. Where she found a note at the table from her mom which says, "sorry Aanha, due to some emergency at hospital I have to go back, for today make something like oats or noodles for you. I may come late today and have a good sleep you have school tomorrow. -with love mom.''[actually her mom is a doctor.] Aanha didn't make anyting because she was too sleepy and tired. she just goes to her room and sleeps after packing her bag and placing everything properly.
