Chapter 1 - Never meant to Be Here

Dear Grandpa,

I was never a good grandson for you. I was never chosen by anyone. I am .. uh not worthy of anything, all I do is mess up things and I lived like this for all these years but after your death I finally decided to take the leap. If you were here you wouldn't let me do this I know but I'm doing this because my life has no meaning I think, so I do this. Hope you still love your useless grandchild.

yours lovable,

Jeevan

This was the letter Jeevan wrote sitting in his grandpa's room where he and his grandpa spent their happiest moments of their lifetime. The room was filled with books especially science and physics ,if we observe the room it was wooden build and smell of books and paper can be felt. Jeevan took his grandpa's diary and holds it tight to his chest he stands up and moves to the corner of the room where lies a big book shelf with more than hundreds of books in it and he took the ladder and slowly climbed seeing his watch simultaneously the time is mid night 1:30 AM he was very tired with sore eyes, his whole body was tired and he felt his body as a burden, the grief is choking his throat because of the memories of his grandpa. He reached the top of the self using the ladder he found a red book its cover page was torn and fungi is everywhere, Jeevan using his hand wiped the dust and tries to take it from its place, in the half way the book self opens itself and a room appears. Jeevan was not shocked which appears to be that he came here before.

Inside the room, rats running here and there, it was a dark and isolated room more like a prison it has a single light bulb hanging in the middle of the room, Jeevan switched on the light. The light spread around the room a machine covered with a old leather cloth, he removed the cloth and pushed the lever up in the other side of the room, to the left of it a window and outside a tree, the house is isolated far away from any government's reach. when the machine came back to life with a loud sound the birds flew from the trees and the sound echoed inside the whole room.

Jeevan started to build the machine using the diary of his grandpa he turned on and off the switches as per his grandpa's instructions written in the diary. The time is now 2:30 AM the machine is ready he pushed a button a bed like mechanism appeared he climbed in it and lie down straight and closed his eyes tight heart beat louder and louder and Jeevan thought about the memories of his grandpa and finally made up his mind and pushed the final button as per the diary. Then the bed contracted containing him and the machine started to do what it should be doing.

This machine made his soul rift from his body and moving it to the realm where he should never be. Because the world was consumed by the "Divinex" a mysteries god like force which choose people and rift their souls to realms often collectively called as "Willdom" which is neither a hell nor heaven and once they complete it they may or may not be able to get back to their own body. But Jeevan he is not chosen by the divinex, he instead used his grandpa's banned machine to rift his soul and end up like the "children" (termed as the people chosen by the divinex).

Jeevan felt like someone is tearing his entire body and opening it and letting his soul escape to a unknown hell or heaven no one knows. He saw a white bright light flash which could almost blind him and he heard no sound ,he felt no pain, no emotion, even he didn't felt his body. This weird experience ended after few seconds and he came back to his senses.

When he slowly opened his eyes, his body felt cold, he felt different this time he was little bit taller and he was wearing a grey GI, his hair is grey and the body trembled in cold. 'What on earth where am I ?? - is this heaven or hell ??' he turned his head left to right ,he stood up on his feet all he can see is pale white yellowish snow floor filled endlessly and there is no uneven surface up to his line of sight , a cold breeze constantly flowing over his body, here and there he saw a snow stone like structure about 6ft and it was transparent and clear when he looked above there was sky but no clouds and a star all alone. 'ok then this is some willdom of divinex I guess but looks like the star is about to extinct ,like its going to lose its life but why am I here?? grandpa never mentioned a place like this in his diary.' He started to walk thinking in his mind "I should survive here ,my body can be on Earth unaffected only for three days because it was a prototype machine." He felt hunger while walking, he walked again and again but no use all he saw was pale white yellowish snow floor and coldness, he tied his hand crossed close to his chest to stop trembling but no use, in the sky the star is slowly fading, 'is this a bad omen or timing ,because I never saw a star dying' Jeevan thought. He noticed one thing he walked and walked but it appears to be like he never covered any distance as if the floor was moving opposite to his direction of walking. His legs shaking while walking, the coldness of the realm and hunger all these slowed him but he walked, his left leg gave up, his eyes closing on its own he resisted, 'Come on Jeevan don't die in a place like this' the cold climate appears to rise and rise made his legs go numb and finally his both legs gave up while walking, body felt like a burden, his eyes sore and tired he fall down with crash landing his head smashed to the ground, saliva came from his mouth ,his black pupils going up, all he heard was the faint distant howling his brain and mind feared but the body gave up. Then a crow well grown and perfectly black and contrast to environment sat before his eyes, lying down he saw it and opened his mouth but words won't come out.

The crow said "Wake up ! you was never meant to be here, Wake up Jeevan or else feed yourself to the KEEPER'S pet."
