Closing her book, Yu Yachen walked slowly to the front door. Through the peephole, a blue-haired Lung woman came into view. She was wearing a light gray, high-collared jacket, and her dragon tail was nervously tapping against the hallway wall.

Yu Yachen opened the door, a smile on her face.
"Long time no see, Officer Ch'en."
"Long time no see, Little Yu."
"Come in. Remember to change your shoes."
Seemingly unsurprised by the sudden visit, Ch'en Huijie looked with some confusion at the white-haired woman walking leisurely toward the living room.
She scanned the rather spacious apartment.
There was a faint smell of bleach in the air. Ch'en Huijie's gaze swept over the furniture.
The television in the living room was properly mounted on the wall, but the large space where a sofa and coffee table should have been was empty.
"The sofa and coffee table were too old and needed replacing. The new ones I ordered haven't arrived yet. Come sit over here," Yu Yachen invited with a smile. "Would you like some black tea?"
"No, thank you. This is just a personal visit, no need to be formal."
"So, Officer Ch'en, we haven't seen each other in the four years since college. What brings you here today?"
Taking a seat at the dining table, Ch'en placed her hands together on the white tablecloth. She stared into Yu Yachen's pale cyan eyes. The white-haired woman still wore a gentle, refined smile.
"The case of Zhang Fangfang's disappearance still has many strange elements. You were the last person to see her, so I have a few questions for you."
"Please, go ahead," Yu Yachen smiled.
