The system tried to change the subject.
Yu Yachen raised her hand. Killer Queen mimicked her, setting the liquid on the back of its hand as a bomb.
"Click."
After she made the "thumbs-up" gesture to detonate it, the smoke from the explosion quickly enveloped the liquid on Killer Queen's hand. But when the smoke cleared, the corrosive slime on its fingers hadn't diminished at all.
"It's no use. It's indestructible."
"Sss—"
Damage taken by a Stand is reflected back to the user. Yu Yachen looked at her own little finger. The fair skin was already split open and bleeding. And the slime was still spreading. It quickly climbed onto Killer Queen's wrist, and the skin on half of the white-haired woman's palm was torn apart.
A long-range automatic Stand... Yu Yachen quickly identified the opponent's Stand type. Her own [Sheer Heart Attack] was also a long-range automatic type. If that was the case, the only way to stop the ability was to find and eliminate the user.
Since leaving her apartment, the only people she had encountered were the woman and her two children in the elevator. Yu Yachen remembered the boy trying to touch her.

Quickly analyzing the situation, Yu Yachen turned back toward the residential building's entrance. The family hadn't left with her; they had taken a different path out of the complex.

Seeing the slime on her wrist about to cover half of Killer Queen's arm, Yu Yachen broke into a run, heading for the complex's other exit.
She passed a central fountain and, sure enough, saw the three figures in the distance. Twenty meters... ten... five.
"[Killer Queen]!"
The moment she closed in on them, the pale pink Stand emerged from her back. As if sensing the movement, the curious Feline boy turned to look at her.
The instant the boy turned, a humanoid Stand, entirely green, suddenly burst from the nearby lawn, blocking her path. Killer Queen froze, pausing in mid-air.
Using that brief gap, the Feline boy just gave her a curious glance before continuing to follow his mother.

Although Yu Yachen hadn't detected any malice in the boy's eyes, the Stand's automatic action to protect its user confirmed his identity as a Stand user.
Its body was made of tangled vines, with a heart-shaped hole in its chest. Its eyes were bright red, like a demon from a Western story.
After striking a bizarre pose at Yu Yachen, the humanoid Stand attacked.
Killer Queen immediately assumed a fighting stance. Its thorn-covered fist cut through the air, aiming for the creature's face. But Yu Yachen simply had her Stand tilt its head slightly, easily dodging the attack.
Seizing the opening from the opponent's swing, Killer Queen punched it squarely in the abdomen—
"BAM!"
A hole was punched through the green Stand's stomach. It flew backward, tumbling several times on the ground before it managed to stabilize itself.
Yu Yachen stared at the humanoid Stand. As expected, her [Killer Queen] had the advantage in both power and speed. But...
Killer Queen raised its fist. When it had punched the enemy, the reverse barbs covering the green Stand had pierced Killer Queen's knuckles. The barbs rooted themselves in its skin, then, as if alive, burrowed deeper into Killer Queen's body, injuring Yu Yachen's own fist.
If she wasn't mistaken, these barbs were also indestructible. It looked like she needed to end this quickly.
"[Killer Queen]."
Yu Yachen stepped forward. The pale pink Stand once again threw a punch at the greenish-blue Stand.
"BAM!"
The opponent's power and speed were far inferior to Killer Queen's. Yu Yachen aimed a punch at its head, and the Stand's entire head shattered into pieces.
The green Stand staggered back a few steps. The parts destroyed by Killer Queen were instantly repaired by new, growing vines. Yu Yachen pressed forward, and Killer Queen's flurry of punches rained down all over its body.
"BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!"
The powerful, heavy blows completely smashed the opponent's body into fragments. Killer Queen stepped back, watching the Stand dissolve into pieces on the ground.
Is it over?
Yu Yachen narrowed her eyes. This guy didn't seem very strong.
No. Wait.
"Rip—"
The slime rooted in her arm hadn't disappeared. Instead, it was spreading faster. Yu Yachen frowned.
