CHAPTER 1
The Den of Scavengers.
"Hey, you. What are you doing? Have you forgotten what I told you?" a girl with long violet hair said. She looked exceptionally seductive in her tight battle outfit, which exposed half of her cleavage and showcased her long legs—a sight that could make any man obsessed with her.
Slash!
Before anyone could fully process the moment, a sound cut through the air, and a head fell to the floor. When the others saw this, they barely reacted; it seemed to be a common occurrence, one that happened every day, every hour, every minute.
"If you cannot do your work, there is nothing that warrants your continued life," the girl stated, looking directly at everyone, though no one dared to meet her eye.
Seeing their fear, her lips curled, and a faint smile appeared on her face.
"Now, if all of you do not wish to die, then complete your work in the time allotted." As she finished her command, everyone immediately started their tasks; no one dared to disobey. She nodded her head, satisfied, and spent the next ten minutes observing them to ensure they were all working diligently. Once she was certain, she left the hall.
As soon as she was gone, everyone collectively felt they could breathe more comfortably.
In another world…
"I want my work completed on time," a chubby man said to a twenty-year-old boy. The boy looked extremely weak, as if he only ate enough food to barely survive.
"Okay, Boss. I will complete my work on time," the boy replied. He looked toward his mountain of files and immediately began his work.
The boss, taking out a snack, started moving out of the office while eating it. The boy simply nodded his head and continued his labor.
A few minutes later, the boy muttered to himself, "I need more money... I need to save my mom. I have to do this."
Then, suddenly,
"Ahhhhhh…"
A loud cry escaped his mouth. A few seconds later, he muttered, "This head pain… it's increasing too much." He took out a medicine tablet, swallowed it, and immediately went back to his work.
A few hours later,
"Ohhh… Finally, it's all done." A look of satisfaction spread across his face. He glanced at the clock, which showed ten o'clock. "Now it's time to return home," he murmured, starting to move toward the door.
But before he could leave the room, suddenly—
"Ahhhhhhh…"
A painful voice escaped his lips, and he fell to his knees, his hands clutching his head, his eyebrows twisted in agony. After a few minutes, he finally found some small measure of comfort. Five minutes later, he stood up, his legs trembling from the pain.
"This is not good. This pain increases day by day. If I can't do anything, it will definitely kill me soon."
He soon made his way to the road, where only a few people could be seen.
A truck approached at full speed. It looked as though the driver was completely drunk and couldn't even steer the vehicle properly.
As our hero, Aarion, tried to cross the road, the pain returned suddenly.
"No, no, not right now!" he cried out, holding his head with his hands.
His hands were trembling, his lips were twisted, and his whole body was paralyzed. He couldn't even lift a finger.
Then suddenly,
"Wooooo!"
A sound broke the silence of the atmosphere as the truck appeared closer.
"No, no! I need to move. I need to move!" Aarion said, trying desperately to shift his body, but he was unable to even stumble.
"Pi pi piiiiii…"
In that final moment, Aarion could not think of anything.
Boommm!
A silence fell everywhere, leaving only bloody marks on the road.
Here, Aarion took his last breath and muttered, "Why? Why did this happen to me? Now who will care for my mom? She will be completely broken when she learns I am dead. Father already left us, and now me. What will happen to my mom now? She barely survived the pain of my father's death, but she cannot survive mine as well."
"WHY? WHY GOD WHY?…"
He coughed up blood, and a single tear fell to the ground. Then, complete silence settled over the atmosphere.
IN ANOTHER REALM
In a dimly lit room, where a single torch was the main source of light, a figure could be seen seated in a chair.
He wore a long, ancient black robe.
"So, the time finally came. He is coming… and with him, the world will change
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH AARION? IS HE DEAD, OR IS THIS THE START OF A NEW JOURNEY?
