Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 – An Unexpected Way to Cross Over

"I never imagined I'd cross over into Konoha… and as a teacher, no less." Chiba Jinichi couldn't help but complain internally after finishing the original body's memory review.

He wasn't sure if this whole "teacher" thing was fate.

Back in elementary school, his teacher had once asked the class about their dreams.

While everyone else answered doctor or astronaut, he had blurted out, "I want to be a teacher."

After graduating from college, his family pulled a few strings, and he smoothly became a teacher at a private middle school.

What he didn't expect was that the moment he stepped through the school gates—

In the very next instant, he crossed over and became a new teacher at the Ninja Academy. The situation left him feeling completely disoriented.

This world of Naruto was no joke—psychos trying to reshape the world at every turn, and worst of all, those psychos were insanely powerful.

Thinking of this, Chiba Jinichi sighed helplessly.

Just as he was pondering how to survive in this obsessive, chaotic world, the bell for the end of class rang outside.

Class is over!

Next period might be mine.

Just the thought made Jinichi's scalp tingle. After all, he was expected to teach Ninjutsu.

"I don't know the first damn thing about Ninjutsu!"

The teacher at the next desk seemed to notice something and turned to comfort him.

"Us new teachers usually only teach how to refine chakra and explain some basic knowledge. No need to be so nervous."

That one line seemed to trigger a chain reaction, and the other teachers in the office chimed in to reassure Jinichi.

A few female teachers even offered to cover the class for him, suggesting he just sit in and learn.

Jinichi naturally thanked them, but declined the offer. He'd formally studied education, after all. When it came to con—uh, guiding a bunch of little kids, he had the skills.

Finding an excuse, he quickly left the office.

As he passed by the training field and saw students breathing fire and leaping over ten meters high, he was constantly reminded that this was no longer the peaceful, safe world he once knew.

Before long, he arrived at the door of his classroom.

Even though Jinichi was just a new teacher, he was qualified to be a homeroom teacher.

Mainly because there simply weren't enough teachers at the Ninja Academy. Of course, he'd only be in charge of a beginner class.

He glanced at the class roster and spotted a few familiar names.

There was future Konoha gatekeeper duo Tetsu Hagane and Izumo Kamizuki, along with Hana Inuzuka, sister of Kiba Inuzuka, and future imperial tutor Iruka.

Even Hayate Gekkō, was listed—But what shocked Jinichi most was seeing Shisui Uchiha's name in this class.

One small class… filled with so many future legends.

Jinichi wasn't even sure what kind of mood he had as he walked into the classroom.

The layout was the same as later generations: seating arranged like stadium steps, with each row higher than the one before. Probably to ensure every student could clearly see the front.

The moment Jinichi stepped into the classroom, it went quiet. The kids, all around five or six, were still at that age where they held a sense of awe and curiosity toward teachers.

Of course, there were exceptions—like Hana Inuzuka, who was still chattering away with her bestie.

On her desk, a gray-and-white puppy swayed its head in sync with her energy.

Her friend seemed to sense something and quickly sat up straight. Only then did Hana reluctantly stop her chatter.

Seeing the class quiet and attentive, Jinichi walked up to the podium with a soft smile and spoke:

"My name is Chiba Jinichi. From today on, I'll be your homeroom teacher. I'll mainly be teaching the Ninjutsu course."

"If you ever run into any problems, you can always come talk to me."

"Now that I've introduced myself, shouldn't you all introduce yourselves too?"

Most of the students didn't react much.

Their families had all warned them before their first day: listen to the teacher, or the Konoha Police will toss you in a little dark room or something.

But mainly, they were just too shy. Nobody wanted to be the first to stand up.

Still, where there are shy kids, there are bold ones too. Hana Inuzuka stood up, her face painted in her clan's signature style, and boldly said:

"Teacher Jinichi, I'm Hana Inuzuka from the Inuzuka clan! I love puppies, and my dream is to become a great kunoichi like Lady Tsunade!"

With her leading the way, the rest of the students gradually stood up and introduced themselves.

The classroom quickly filled with cheerful energy.

That is, until Shisui Uchiha stood up. Then everything went quiet.

It was clear even these young kids knew not to mess with someone from the Uchiha clan.

Seeing this, Shisui sighed inwardly and said:

"My name is Shisui Uchiha, from the Uchiha clan. I like eating three-colored dango, and my dream is..."

He had wanted to say his dream was for peace between Konoha and the Uchiha,But seeing the wary and disgusted looks in his classmates' eyes, he sat down quietly before finishing.

Jinichi noticed that Shisui hadn't finished but didn't press the matter. He simply called on the next student.

Once everyone had introduced themselves, Jinichi gestured for them to quiet down.

"Before we begin our lesson, does anyone know what the place we live in is called?"

The moment he asked, the classroom erupted like a festival.

The kids shouted over each other—some yelling "Land of Fire!" while others shouted "Konoha!"

Jinichi didn't try to stop the chaos. He simply watched them with a faint smile.

When the kids finally realized no one was winning the argument, they all turned to Jinichi at once, eyes sparkling with expectation.

"You're all correct. We live in Konoha, and Konoha is part of the Land of Fire."

Before they could process that, Jinichi continued:

"Which brings us to a bit of history.

Before the ninja village system, historians called that time the Warring States Era.

It was total chaos.

Ninjas fought endlessly over resources, usually grouped by clan. The wars never stopped.

Back then, the average life expectancy was only a little over thirty.

Worse yet, many young children died before even growing up."

At this point, Jinichi's voice grew somber, but he soon raised his tone again:

"In that age of chaos, two boys made a promise.

They wanted to change the world. A world where no more innocent people would have to die. Where children wouldn't be forced onto battlefields.

But fate is cruel.

Those two boys were eventually forced to fight on opposite sides, each for their clan.

Yet one of them never forgot his original dream.

After becoming his clan's leader, he kept fighting to fulfill it.

Through his efforts, the other boy let go of his grudges.

Their clans joined forces—and together, they became so strong that no other ninja clan could match them.

In the end, they created the village of their dreams: Konoha.

Konoha Hidden Village had advanced ideas and systems. Like a giant magnet, it attracted more and more people to join.

And just like that, their dream came true.

No longer did young children need to pick up weapons and march to war. The deaths of innocents decreased dramatically."

"Wherever the leaves dance, the fire will burn. The fire's shadow will shine upon the village... and new leaves will bud."
