Chapter 1 - His Ex-Lover Is Back

Harmonica gripped the edge of the hospital bed as they wheeled a man covered in a white sheet.

''Ma'am you need to step aside.'' One of the doctors said gently, guiding her away while the other doctors rolled the gurney to the morgue.

''I—I don't understand.'' She stuttered, disbelief clouding her features. ''You said he was fine just five minutes ago.''

''We also mentioned that anything could happen.'' Dr Gabe replied, his tone laced with pity. ''He was a seventy year old man battling stage four cancer. His condition was critical. We are truly sorry for your loss.''

Tears streamed down Harmonica's face as she weighed in the loss. This was a man who had stood by her from the onset. She couldn't believe he was already dead.

The sound of foot drumming against the floor made her look up. Seeing that it was her husband—Lucas, she immediately scurried away from the floor and ran into his arms, hugging him tightly.

''He is dead luke. Your father is dead'' she cried, her tears soaking his shirt.

Lucas pulled her away, his eyes devoid of emotions. He gestured to a man at his side who was professionally dressed and holding a folder in his left arm.

The man quickly nodded, opening the folder and bringing out a paper before stretching it out to Harmonica who was staring at them in confusion.

She took the paper from Craig—Lucas's laywer and her eyes widened in shock as she stared at its content.

''Let's get a divorce'' Lucas said, staring at her face that was already scrunched up.

''I don't understand. Why??'' Harmonica's voice came out subtle but her heart was in a turmoil.

It wasn't even up to 10 minute since his father died that he was already requesting for a divorce. Yes. They didn't get married under normal circumstances. It was a arranged marriage between both their families.

But she had loved him with every inch of her being. She had thought that the love she had for him was enough for them both. But she was wrong.

''Can you just stop being delusional! I don't love you! I only put up with you because of my father. Now that he is dead, I don't see why I should go through that hassle.'' He replied coldly, already getting irritated just by her presence. He didn't love her. He never did.

He admitted pouring his frustration through sexual activities with her had relieved him in some kinds of way. But he had never for once enjoyed it. Her moans were sickening. And her touch was way worse.

''Hassle?'' Harmonica repeated, the word was like a bile stuck at the edge of her tongue. She had expected everything but that from him.

She had always been there for him. She gave up her position in her friend's company in order to be the perfect wife for him. She did everything he ever asked her to but instead, he called her a hassle.

Lucas phone vibrated in his pocket and he retrieved it, pressing the phone to his ear. ''Okay. I'll be there in an hour.''

After that, he didn't spare her a glance. ''Make her sign those papers.'' He ordered craig before leaving.

Harmonica fell to the floor, her eyes blurry from tears. ''Don't make me do it. Please..'' she said, hugging her knees.

The hospital staffs and it's patients stared at her warily but she couldn't care less. In just one day, she had lost one person that mattered to her the most. Now, she was going to lose her husband too.

Craig crouched down to her level, a complicated expression on his face. ''Mrs stone I understand how you feel. But this is really not up to me. My only job is to make sure you sign this papers and I can't leave here until you do.''

Harmonica shook her head in disbelief. She couldn't believe everything she had struggled to build would crumble in one day. Lucas's father only arranged for marriage with him after her mother saved his life.

All the support her parent's were getting came from the stone family. If she signed this papers now, she and her family would lose everything.

But she couldn't keep holding unto him. His cruel words still filled her head and she couldn't keep making him suffer. With a defeated sigh, she took a pen from Craig and signed the divorce papers.

''Thank you Mrs stone. Or should I say…mrs Hamornica.'' Craig said, giving her a tight lipped smile before walking away.

Harmonica was supposed to feel a bit light hearted after signing the papers. But all she felt was pain. She stood up from the hospital floor and headed for the stone mansion, deciding it was time for her to leave.

''Fuck yessss!'' Lucas's voice bloomed from the bedroom and Harmonica paused, wondering why he was moaning. She pulled the door knob and entered the room, her eyes bulging as she saw her husband balls deep inside another woman.

Lucas slammed hard into Rita, pouring his whole Harmonica related issues into each thrusts.

''Luke yessss. Don't stop.'' Rita moaned, her hand digging at his back as he made sweet love to her. She couldn't believe how stupid she was leaving without his dick. She loved every inch of it and she wanted him balls deep in her all day.

''Luke?'' Harmonica's broken voice bloomed and Lucas finally turned his head towards her.

His eyes widened in shock and he immediately pulled out of Rita, going closer to Harmonica like he had committed an heinous crime. His fly was still opened and cum dripped from his manhood as he approached her.

''Harmonica it's not—'' He paused mid-sentence, immediately regaining composure. He was no longer married to her. Why should he feel bad about her walking in on him having sex?

''If you're here for your things, I already packed them up and sent them to your family house. You can leave.'' He continued, turning his back on her before walking back to Rita who now had a sly smirk on her lips.

Tears pooled at the brim of Harmonica's eyes as she stared at him. Then her eyes immediately met Rita's and her face was of that of a woman that had seen a ghost.

''Rita?'' She called out in disbelief. Now she knew why Lucas was in such a hurry to divorce her.

His ex-lover was back.
