Rita smirked, enjoying all the expressions that passed through Harmonica's face.
''Harmonica…It's nice seeing you again.'' She said, wrapping the sheets around her body and standing up, approaching Harmonica with light steps.
Lucas quickly whipped his head in their direction. He had already donned on a shirt and closed the zipper of his pants. ''What do you mean seeing her? Do you know each other?'' Lucas asked, staring at Rita.
''Why won't I know harmonica? Four years ago when I came to this mansion begging your father so he could accept our relationship, she made sure I couldn't get in, leaving me outside in the snow to die.'' Rita said, a smile curling up her lips as she observed the change in Lucas expression.
''Luke that is not what happened'' Harmonica tried to say but he was already holding unto her left arm tightly.
''So you're the reason she left four years ago?!'' He screamed at her, shoving her harshly to the floor.
''No please. Let me explain.'' Harmonica cried, holding unto her bruised arm.
Four years ago, his father had extended an invitation to her and she had obliged, coming to the stone mansion to personally see him.
Then, she was excited to be having a conversation with one of the most influential men in New York City. And when he told her that he wanted her to get married to his son as a thank you gift to her mother for saving him, she was elated.
She had always wanted to be part of their world so she didn't bat an eye before accepting his proposal. Just when she was about to leave, a woman quickly hurried in begging Steven to let her get married to his son.
From her looks, Harmonical could tell she was influential. She wondered why Steven would choose her for his son over a woman of the same social standing.
''Get this whore out of my house!'' Steven shouted and the guards quickly moved to take her away but Steven raised his hand, stopping them.
''You.'' He said, pointing to Harmonica. ''Get her out.''
Harmonica stood rooted to a spot for a while before going to grab her, not wanting to offend an elite. But when she threw Rita out, it was the most satisfying thing ever.
She hadn't realized that it was the same Rita that had bullied her all her life. It was not until she threw her out that she realized.
But now, she regretted it. Lucas was staring at her like he was disgusted by her.
She knew how hurt he was about Rita leaving and about getting married to her. She suddenly felt like a whore who had come between the both of them.
''Get out!'' Lucas shouted, shoving her.
''Luke I'm sorry.'' She cried out, clutching the hem of his shirt but he pried her hands off, shoving her again.
The impact came harder than he expected and she hit her head against the wall, darkness embracing her.

Harmonica's eyes fluttered open and she found herself in a hospital bed with an IV tied around her arm.
''What's going on?'' She asked, staring around the room until her eyes fell on two familiar faces.
Her mother—A brunette with worry etched on her slightly wrinkled face quickly bolted up at the sound of her daughter's voice. ''Moni you're awake. Oh my daughter'' she cried, her weak hands grasping unto her daughter's.
''Mom I'm fine.'' Harmonica quickly said, cleaning the tear that was at the edge of her mother's eyes. She gave her a tight lipped smile hoping she would stop worrying about her.
''You are fine?! What happened to telling your mother everything? Is something going on between you and Lucas?'' Grace quickly asked.
''Grace not now she—'' James paused as he saw his wife's expression. ''Go on..'' He said, scratching the back of his head.
''Earlier this morning, your things were sent back to the house. We tried calling you but we couldn't reach you so we called Lucas and he told us he has nothing to do with our family anymore. Moni what is going on?'' Grace asked, her hand brushing against her daughter's hair as she spoke.
''Mom, Dad, Lucas and i are divorced.'' Harmonica said, bowing her head while awaiting their response. Originally, she had planned on keeping her divorce with Lucas a secret. But now that they already found out, there was no use hiding it.
''What?!'' James shouted, staring at Harmonica wide-eyed. ''What did you do to make him divorce you?!''
''Dad?! Why would you ask me that kind of question? Of course I didn't do anything!'' She shouted, staring at him in disbelief. She knew the only reason her father had been nice towards her was because he was gaining a lot from her marriage to Lucas. Now that she was of no use to him anymore, he was showing his true colors.
''How can you be so stupid to let him go?! Do you know what would happen to our family if he decides to cut us off?!'' James shouted back at her, the veins in his head already popped out due to anger.
''I don't care!'' She shouted back and James hurried towards her, raising his hands to smack her on the face when Grace held his hands tightly, stopping him.
''Don't you dare lay a hand on my daughter!'' She said, her eyes bloodshot. She let go of his hand and he sighed defeatedly, glaring daggers at the mother-daughter duo before walking away from the hospital room and slamming the door.
Harmonica shook violently as she cried, holding unto her mother. ''It's fine Moni. Mummy would always be here for you.'' Grace cooed, rubbing at her daughter's back soothingly.
While they were still in that position hugging each other, a nurse barged in and they both turned their attention to the door.
''Ohh… I'm so sorry for interrupting. The doctor wanted me to check on the pregnant lady. But I see that she is doing well.'' The nurse said, smiling at them.
''Pregnant lady? Mom what is she talking about?'' Harmonica asked, staring at the nurse and her mother, puzzled.
''Harmonica..'' Her mother began, holding unto her hands tightly. ''The doctor said you are three months pregnant.''
