Chapter 4 - He Was Drunk As Fuck

''Luke what are you saying? I have never slept with anybody but you.'' Harmonica said, tears already dropping down her eyes.

She couldn't believe that he would accuse her of infidelity. She had never slept with anyone, not to talk of his friends.

On their wedding night, he was drunk as hell. He had disvirgined her in the roughest way possible. After that, she had stuck to being an housewife, hoping that would make her a better wife to him.

She only met his friends three times in their five years of marriage and they had never had any personal conversations.

''I would never do that'' she cried out, clutching the edge of his suit.

Lucas removed her hand from his suit, dusting what little speck of dust she had latched unto him before going back into his car and driving into his mansion.

He got down from his car and got in, unknotting his tie angrily.

His footsteps drummed against the floorboard as he headed for the bar. In one swift move, he poured one of his high end alcoholic wines into a glassware and downed it in one go.

With a frustrated growl, he flung the glass against the wall and it shattered, it's shards scattered around the floor.

''Lucas!'' Rita's voice rang out as she ran to him, examining his body. ''You're cut.'' She said, holding unto his bleeding hands.

''I'm fine.'' He mutterer coldly, but then grabbed her roughly, yanking her close.

Without warning, his hands wrapped around her neck and he slammed his lips to hers.

Rita moaned as she felt his teeth graze her lips roughly. She let him wrap her legs around his torso and carry her to his room.

He layed her gently on the bed and kissed her before pulling away and laying next to her, breathing hardly.

''Why did you stop?'' Rita asked, irritation swarming her features despite her chest rising and falling.

Lucas didn't answer.

''Is it because of her?!'' Rita shouted, staring at him.

''It's not because of her. Stop talking about my wife!'' Lucas shouted, holding his head in frustration.

''EX-WIFE!'' Rita shouted back at him, sliding off the bed and heading for the door. ''And if you are having doubts just because you think she is carrying your child, then you're a fucking coward!'' She said again before slamming the door.

Lucas stared at the closed door, cursing inwardly. Ever since he let Harmonica go, he had not been in his right senses.

He wanted her out of his mind. She was just a cheap whore who couldn't keep her legs closed, she didn't deserve to be his wife.

Meanwhile, Harmonica was still on the pavement wallowing in self pity. She couldn't believe that Lucas would call her a slut and call her baby a bastard.

Her phone rang and she picked it up, pressing it to her ear.

''Moni why are you doing this to me?!'' Her mother cried. She had come back to the hospital with food and clothes only to hear that her daughter had rushed out after she left. She immediately knew where her daughter had gone to.

''Why are you so selfish?! If you don't want to think about yourself, At least thing about your baby! The doctor said your baby is not healthy and complications might arise if you keep stressing it.'' Grace continued. She had thought of hiding that news from her daughter countless times. But now that she couldn't handle her, it was best to tell her the truth so she could handle herself.

Harmonica's heart stopped as she took in her mother's words. Her baby was going to die? She couldn't let that happen!

She hung up the phone and caressed her baby protectively, apologizing to it as many times as possible.

She had lost almost all the people that meant something to her. Right now, she only had her baby. She couldn't afford to lose it too.

She quickly got up, determination in her eyes as she exited the stone's estate. She was going to find a way to take care of herself and her baby. Her father was probably still furious at her so she couldn't sleep at their place. She immediately dialed a number she never thought she would.

''Moni?! I can't believe you're calling me.'' Drey chimed from the end of the phone, happiness laced in his voice.

''Hey drey. Can I stay at your place for a while?'' She asked shyly, feeling sad for even bothering him.

She had not spoken to him in a while. Not since she got married to Lucas. She felt bad for turning down his offer of running his business with him so she stayed away from him instead.

''Why not? Send me an address. I'll come pick you up.''

Harmonica quickly sent him her address and minutes later, his car pulled up in front of her. He got out and opened the car door for her, bowing his head as he did so.

Harmonica chuckled at his playful antics. She slid into the passenger seat regardless, uttering a low thank you before resting on the car's headboard.

Drey smiled and closed the door softly before turning around and getting into the drivers seat. ''I'm so glad to see you agai—-'' He paused as he saw that Harmonica was already asleep, snoring softly.

He chuckled. ''She must be tired.'' He muttered before driving to his mansion.

Once he pulled up to his curb, he pulled Harmonica into his arms, carrying her bridal style into one of the guest rooms.

He layed her on the bed softly before covering her with a duvet. He outlined the features of her face with his hands while smiling.

He remembered the last time they last saw each other. It was when she told him that she was getting married to Lucas Stone—One of New York's most influential men. He had immediately known it was not an ordinary marriage.

Regardless, he had held Lucas by the collar, making him swear to never hurt her. Now that she had called him for the first time in a long time, it only meant that something had happened between her and Lucas.

He smoothed the worry lines on her forehead and got up, retrieving his phone from his pants pocket. He dialed a number and after seconds of ringing, the reciever picked up.

''I need every information you can get on Lucas stone's current status with his wife.''
