OpenSimp23: Do you see how hot Invisible Woman looked?
FakeMacho99: Man, I just wanna get my hands on her booty and my tongue in her mouth.
SupernaturalAnalyzer24: Guys, we're getting sidetracked. Also @FakeMacho99… me too.
Joeytrabiane86: Did you hear the NYPD found another group?
VigilanteAssKisser: Yeah, and now I definitely believe in the Devil of Hell's Kitchen.
Mutant?What00: Did you see Magneto hit another military base?
SuperHater19: Hell yeah. I really don't get why the government hasn't wiped him and the rest of those freaks out already.
Godservice22: They're clearly demons' children. I'll be praying they all burn under the light of the Almighty.

Ugh. Boring. I closed my phone and shifted on the couch.
It's been a month now, and I still can't believe I'm actually in Marvel.
At first, I thought it was just a bad dream. I kept pinching myself over and over, waiting to wake up. Spoiler: it didn't work. Turns out hurting yourself in a dream doesn't magically pull you out of it.
So yeah, this isn't a dream. It's the start of my nightmare.
Not because I did something crazy like commit genocide or whatever, but because of who I am now. Sometimes it's not about what you do, it's about what you're born as. Or in my case, the body I ended up transmigrating into.
Travis Howler.
And no, this isn't one of those cheesy "you're a mutant now" kind of deals. Nah, it's different.
I'm not exactly human anymore. Well, not fully. Travis's dad was a werewolf. Yeah, the kind that loses it on full-moon nights, tears through friends and family, or passes the curse on with a bite.
His mom? She was just a regular woman. Died giving birth to him. Apparently, she and his old man were in love, at least that's the story he told. Whole tragic setup, like something you'd see in one of those old romance flicks: guy saves girl, girl finds out his big secret, they try to make it work.
Honestly, if it had just been that, I'd have rolled with it. Not the worst hand to play, especially since I lucked out with a system. A gacha system. Sounds cool, right?
But here's the rub: about a month ago, literally the night I landed in his body, Travis and his dad were killed. Mauled by a vampire. The thing went after Travis, and for whatever reason, drinking from him ended up turning him too. Whether it meant to or not, I'll never know.
So yeah, now I'm walking around as a werewolf-vampire hybrid in Marvel of all places? Buddy, that's just asking for trouble.
Forget S.H.I.E.L.D. and all those shiny government types trying to slap a leash on anyone "supernatural." That's not even the real headache. The real problem? The hunters. Folks with a chip on their shoulder, chasing down vampires and werewolves for revenge, for cash, or just for the thrill of it.
And the extreme ones? They don't care if you're decent, if you're trying to live quietly, or if you've never hurt a soul. To them, you're just another monster to put down. Doesn't matter if you're good, bad, or somewhere in between, they want every last non-human erased.
Argh, it's a bloody mess, eh.
Still, it's a good thing I landed in Texas. Life down here's supposed to be a little less chaotic, a little more freedom to do your own thing. Suits me fine… for now.
I lay back, staring at the ceiling, and pulled up the system's status screen.
If anyone asks, yeah, it's kinda like Solo Leveling.
[Points: 30]
The result of my patience. Took forever, but finally, I've got enough to do a spin.
The rules are pretty simple. The system drops me one point a day. Three points buy me one card. And I need at least ten cards, so thirty points total, just to make a single spin. No shortcuts, no hidden tricks.
Well, let's see what I get. I cashed in the points and hit the gacha.
1. Package: Yuliy (Sirius the Jaeger)
2. Aizen's Glasses (Bleach)
3. Hercules (MHA)
4. Package: Geralt of Rivia (The Witcher)
5. Yubashiri (One Piece)
6. Teddy (Mr. Bean)
7. Garek (BloodRayne)
8. Kunai ×100 (Naruto)
9. Ben Tennyson T-shirt (Ben 10)
10. Timothy Drake (DC)
…Is this thing reading my thoughts? Or my feelings? Because looking at the lineup, it feels way too on point.
I already accepted the worst-case scenario, being hunted down as some dark creature. So I decided early on I wouldn't play this passive. No hiding, no sitting on the sidelines. I'm gonna step into the world, get experience, gain knowledge, and carve a place for myself. That's why I picked the path of a detective, an investigator of supernatural cases. And for that? Tim Drake is perfect. The guy's one of the greatest detectives out there, student of the greatest detective, actually.
Just picture it: a Robin with superpowers. Vampire strength, werewolf speed, enhanced senses. That's the kind of thing that'll send shivers down the spine of anyone dumb enough to cross me.
I also wanted a proper werewolf template. Travis never tried to control his powers, he just feared them. Yuliy, on the other hand, is half-werewolf, and he does control it. That'll be a huge help. Plus, the package comes with his three-section staff, the same one he used to hunt vampires.
Then there's Garek. Another hybrid, a dhampir. Honestly, this might be the most important pull. I've gone an entire month without feeling the sun. I don't know if Nina, aka Vampire by Night, was some special case, but Travis sure didn't get the sunlight immunity. If Garek's template fixes that, then finally… daylight. And the psychic abilities, telepathy and telekinesis? Even better.
And then, Geralt. Another package. Exactly what I needed. A monster hunter, swords included. That's literally the path I've chosen, hunting monsters, solving supernatural cases.
Four templates in one spin. That's insane. Usually, MCs in these kinds of setups get what, one or two per month if they're lucky? Was it because this was my first spin? Or does the gacha just… know what I need?
Let's put the template on Assimilation slot.
