Chapter 1 - Jade System

Solus continent, Moon Sect.

A girl with long blue hair tied into two pigtails sat on a smooth wet rock by a waterfall. Her foot swept up some water as she kicked her legs up, and her eyes gazed at the distanced moon up in the sky. She let out a small sigh from her lips and relaxed her back onto the rock.

It's been nineteen years since I've travelled through this world. The girl thought.

The girl's name is Ning Lingling, and is a transmigrator from a different earth.

This world is a game/novel world, and my dearest brother should be preparing for the introduction to game characters descending upon this world in a year. Sigh, it's been a full year and I still don't have a cheat like my brother. Well, I guess my brother doesn't have a cheat really, he has a system that all game characters have, but his is bugged, allowing him to use every part of the game system

The world Ning Lingling is in is a novel world. This novel was called "Cultivation Takeover" in her previous life, but this novel was about a man who was reincarnated into a game world called "Solus."

For the player in Solus, they had a unique system tied to their cultivation path, meaning if you chose to be an alchemist, you can only gain experience by refining pills. If you choose to be a beast hunter, you can only gain experience by hunting beasts. That's where her brother's uniqueness comes from; his abilities to gain experience from any profession.

And with so much experience, her brother leveled up like crazy. If there wasn't a bottleneck plug in the system, she had no doubts that in ten years her brother would have soared to the tops of this world. But as good as that sounds, dangers loomed behind greatness.

She, Ning Lingling didn't have such luck when it came to cultivation, and became the spoiled sister of the sect, and everyone wanted to get close to her in hopes of getting close to her brother. This made it almost impossible for the main body to have friends or leave the sect unnoticed. Some even tried to kill her, and one happened to succeed.

One time her brother, Ning Fengzhi, was out killing demon cultivators that were rioting around the sect, a demon cultivator managed to sneak in and kill Ning Lingling, causing her brother to go mad.

She was merely a tool to be used to create a low moment for her brother, the main character of the story.

Although she was resurrected a hundred years later, Ning Lingling had no plans on trying to feel the pain of death again.

Sigh, and it's not like I can do anything either. I'm limited to this body's talent. Sure, I'm much smarter during my early days, making me roughly fifteen years ahead of the previous Ning Lingling, but that strength has no meaning to a Diamond Immortal.

In Solus, cultivation ranges from weak to strongest go: Copper Immortal, Bronze Immortal, Iron Immortal, Silver Immortal, Golden Immortal, Diamond Immortal, Emerald Immortal, Obsidian Immortal, and Painite Immortal.

Currently, Ning Lingling is at the peak of the Bronze Immortal Realm, while her brother is at the peak of the Copper Immortal Realm.

This isn't surprising since her brother has a game system, but isn't activated yet, so he's stuck at the bottleneck of the Copper Immortal Realm. This doesn't stop Ning Lingling teasing her weak brother since in the future she'll only be able to see his back.

Hmm, now that I'm thinking about it, doesn't my brother's system awaken today?

Just when she thought of this, a line of text appeared right in front of her eyes.

[Found the Daughter of Heaven!]

[Finding a system that suits the Daughter of Heaven!]

[The Jade System has been bound!]

Ning Lingling emotions surged for a moment, and it quickly went back to being calm. Ever since coming to this world, Ning Lingling barely had her emotions fluctuating as much as it has now.

System? Wait, a Jade System?

Ning Lingling finally couldn't keep her calm, and her pupils trembled.

In the game Solus, every player has a ranked system, and the system gives certain rewards and benefits. To get a rank system, one would have to spend millions of dollars just to get a Copper System, and the highest she had ever heard of in the novel was a Silver System.

The person with the Silver System was her brother. In his previous life, he spent one trillion dollars on the game, making him the first and last Silver System player, and the benefits given were immense!

Three hundred percent experience increase, monthly chance of enlightenment, but since a month in the "real" world is equivalent to thirty years in Solus, it's actually every thirty years for one chance of enlightenment, and spirit stones from quests and monsters were tripled! And once he completed the quest, he was given two times the rewards.

He was a cheat inside of a world of cheats!

But aren't the systems based off of cultivation Realms? But the Jade Realm doesn't seem to exist. Is it a realm higher than the Painite Immortal Realm? But how is that possible! In the past thousand years, no one has even reached that realm, let alone whatever Jade Immortal is.

Ning Lingling took in a deep breath, and began scanning her system. She was quite curious on whatever stats would be, but when she saw them, she was stunned.

Cultivation Realm: Bronze Immortal (99%)

Intelligence: 10 (Maxed)

Strength: 10 (Maxed)

Speed: 10 (Maxed)

Charisma: 10 (Maxed)

Spiritual Root: 10 (Maxed) - The number of the Spiritual Root determines the highest realm someone can achieve. (A rank one spiritual root can only cultivate to the Copper Realm)

Defense: 10 (Max)

Experience Points: 0 (1,000% increase to all experience gained)

Looking at the max next to her numbers, she was stunned. She most definitely didn't have max defensive and strength before the system awakening, only her spiritual roots should be true.

In this world, spiritual roots do not determine the speed of cultivation, only the upper limit. The speed of cultivation comes down to physical and spiritual strength, which allows one to intake the energy of the heavens a lot easier and more.

Spiritual power allows one to bring it in faster, while strength allows you to cultivate more.

It was a balance of Yin and Yang, and if one overflowed, you wouldn't get the full benefits of it.
