Chapter 2 - Ning Fengzhi

Ning Lingling clenched her fist, and felt muscles on her arms tighten. She felt a flow of strength in her arms, much stronger than it was before.

Feeling her strength, Ning Lingling relaxed her hand, and slapped the palm of the rock she was resting on with some force. With her palm hitting the rock, a loud bang sounded and the rock started to crack beneath her.

Not bad, my strength has increased considerably! I'd have to use Qi to damage this rock, but I just used the palm of my hands with a bit of force to crack it.

Ning Lingling felt satisfied with her new strength, but a new stream of questions entered her mind. For example, she has never heard any systems increasing base attributes, but hers maxed them out.

And with the Jade System being bound, perhaps there are other privileges that she isn't aware about.

Then let me spend some time messing around with the system Ning Lingling thought, and began meditating on the rock and used her mind to control the system.

Yearly enlightenment? Damn, that's a lot! Five times the quest rewards? Tch, just make me a rich white lady. Hmm, 100% drop rates on monster kills? I won't have to worry about resources in the future. Wait! 100% success rate on pill making?! I don't need materials for formations? I just need Qi?!

Ning Lingling felt more emotional ups and downs than she ever has in her 41 years of living.

T-T-This isn't all either! Just how buggy am I?

Ning Lingling's chest heaved, and her gloomy future suddenly came bright.

Hehehe~ my dearest little brother, you'll still have to meet your sister fist of love!

A strange look appeared in Ning Lingling's eyes, but it quickly disappeared.

Hmm, since I just awakened my system, my brother should've awakened his.

Ning Lingling looked at a few big characters on her system screen.

One day until the open beta begins!

One day in the "real" world is one year here, and some players who spent money gained access today.

Hmm, I have moderation control in the forms?

Ning Lingling noticed she could ban, delete, and even edit posts. She was like the owner of the forms.

The power I have is a little much. I could really mess with people by editing their photos and even block information from getting out. People love spreading information on the forms which could give away my and my brother's location. Is this what it feels to be the Daughter of Heaven?

Ning Lingling let out a small giggle from her mouth and cleaned up her legs that had been resting in the lake water and suddenly took to the sky.

Her destination was her brother's resting place, or the Sect Master's residence.

Flying in the sky, Ning Lingling took in the clouds and streams of water cascading down the mountains. The Moon Sect was truly a beautiful place to live, and had the best views of the starry sky. Sadly once her parents died from demon cultivators, everyone left in fear of retaliation.

Thus the once popular Moon Sect fell to only having her and her brother residing here.

As why no sect nearby claimed the Moon Sect as their own? Sects are tied to the merits of Heaven, and if someone destroyed a sect for greed or other evil purposes, they'd face the backlash of Heaven.

Of course this is only for righteous cultivators, demon cultivators go against Heaven, and Ning Lingling has stopped a few weak demons from trying to harm the sect.

Though their merit can only last for so long, and in the next three years it will run out, having many sects trying to over through the Moon Sect, but her brother used an army of players to fight for him.

It can be said that the players in this world kept the Moon Sect alive and thriving, even if her brother took advantage of them. Heck, they love it when her brother takes advantage of them as it gives them more levels and rewards.

Ning Lingling imagined an army of immortal players constantly sacrificing their life for rewards as they defended the Moon Sect, and her lips twitched slightly.

As she was thinking about the future of the sect, she finally made it to her brother's residence.

Descending from the ground, Ning Lingling put her right foot down while her left foot came after. Ning Lingling didn't wear any shoes; in fact, she used the water and wind element to protect her feat from the dust and dirt on the ground

It may use up some Qi, it's better than using some heels that every female cultivator for some reason used. She couldn't imagine herself using heels in a fight, let alone long distance travel.

Ning Lingling walked forwards, smelling the scent of burning wood in the air. It was her brother's favorite scent, and Ning Lingling didn't judge it.

After a few steps, she reached his door and knocked on the door gently. She wasn't worried that he didn't hear it, as cultivators have enhanced hearing.

Sure enough, a few moments later, a man with long flowing grey hair and a sharp jaw line appeared in front of her. This man was a splitting image of a hot warrior, and his temperament gave off this feeling of history.

This man was Ning Fengzhi, and Ning Lingling knew her feelings were wrong, and this was just her brother acting tough.

"Fengzhi~" Ning Lingling said with a teasing voice.

Ning Fengzhi's stern expression faltered for a moment before he regained his bearings.

"Isn't it my eldest sister, what brings you at this fine hour?" Ning Fengzhi asked.

"Still trying to act like a tough little sect leader?" Ning Lingling teased again, but then spoke, "I just came since it's nearing dinner, do you want anything in particular?" Ning Lingling asked.

She was the one who cooked, since the two of them still needed to eat. Even the strongest cultivator needs to eat and rest, but can last a lot longer.
