Chapter 1 - Life

Where is this place?

I thought as I touched the faint light in front of me, there were many colors with a dark background moving in different directions and strange noises that I couldn't understand.

I felt something familiar after hearing them; I wanted to go near it and keep on hearing it, but I couldn't.

There was a giant wall in front of me that caged me tightly; I couldn't even move freely.

The noise became louder; one could sense a trace of worries in it the more I took my time to break free.

What is this strange feeling? Let me out!

I used all the strength I had to break free from this cage; something in me told me that I have to break free or else something bad will happen.

The colors and the darkness in the cage started to disappear the more I pushed, and the brighter the surroundings became. I could see something moving around frantically and something looking at me; they looked huge and scary, but I felt safe when I saw them.

Just a little more

There was a faint crack in the wall, and it quickly spread out throughout the whole wall until it covered everything, finally breaking the wall that was blocking my path.

"My baby," Rosy quickly hugged her child and smiled gently; she still had tears in her eyes.

Someone quickly came over to Rosy and touched her shoulder: "Haha, I knew it. I told you our child will be fine; you were worrying for no reason," Ronald said while wiping his tears.

The house filled with weeping noises was now filled with laughter.

"Roku, Ronald, come here, dinner's ready!" Rosy called them while preparing the table. A loud running noise could be heard in the hall: "Yayy, I win!!" A small child laughed heartily.

"I will get you next time," Ronald said playfully while patting his son's head.

After struggling for 6 hours inside the egg, Roku was finally born. He had a chubby face with baby fat, which gave him a cute, cuddly face that anyone would love to squeeze. His nose was small and cute, perfectly fitting his face. His eyes were brimming with innocence and sparkles that looked forward to the amazing future.

Something peculiar about him was the wings behind his back; they were small and had small feathers around them, still needing some time to be functional.

Rosy got a headache seeing both her husband and child running down the hallway: "You two, both of you will break this house one day."

"Don't worry, this house I built is very strong; it will even survive if a star falls on it."

Rosy was just about to say something when Ronald quickly sat down in the chair and hurried both of them to sit down already. "Alright, we shouldn't keep the food waiting anymore; come, let's pray together."

"O supreme Lord,

Your grace and kindness know no bounds.

We thank you for this food and beautiful morning."

Everyone slowly opened their eyes and started eating. The dishes were normal dishes that were eaten in the village; it consisted of dried bread, which was more like a rock.

It was mainly eaten with water to make it edible; even though it looked bad, it was one of the most nutrient-filled foods in this region, loved by anyone that needed to work nonstop the whole day.

"Father, why do we have to pray every time we eat?" Ruko asked while eating his soup that consisted of a lot of different ingredients, making it both pleasing to the eyes, healthy, and delicious.

Ronald thought for a minute while quickly stuffing the bread before it got dry: "To express our gratitude to the Almighty God that gave us life and freedom, without our Lord's mercy, we wouldn't be able to live such a beautiful life."

Roku listened attentively with sparkling eyes.

This time the one who spoke was Rosy: "Roku, my child, do you know why we worship the ancient destiny king?"

Roku tried to remember, but he couldn't, so he replied slowly, "Because he is the creator?"

Rosy shook her head: "No, the ancient king is not the creator of the world, not even the other 3 gods."

"The reason we worship Ancient Destiny king, is because he is the savior of us angels. He was a powerful entity; with his help we were able to break free from the enslavement of the cosmic heavenly deity. Without our lord's sacrifice, we would still be living a miserable life under the cosmic heavenly deity."

Roku gasped while hearing this; he was someone who loved to hear about the ancient times and primordial time stories. He was always fascinated by the world.

This was a world of hermons, astral wanderers, a world that favored the strong and ridiculed the weak. Beings that strived to be the holder of the world, they were able to rewrite history itself. The world of hermons was still in the early days, still far from being fully developed and encompassing everything.

There were three paths that focused on one's body and the world. space path, time path, and life path. Each of them getting more absurd the higher they reached.

Rosy continued: "At that time he was known as the heaven-defying angel, single-handedly overthrowing the cosmic alliance regime. Every step He took could kill his enemy, heal the hearts of corrupt souls, and give them the chance to redeem themselves. Every time he spoke, the evil-hearted would kneel and despondent souls rejoiced."

The more Roku heard this, the more he wanted to be like the ancient destiny king, defeating the evil and helping the weak, being a god revered by every being.

The more Roku thought, the more he felt it was impossible, but he still wanted to pursue it.

He listened to his mother while he ate his soup along the way. After his mother finished telling him the story of the Ancient Destiny King, he asked with enthusiastic eyes, "Mother, what path did Ancient Destiny King walk on?"

Rosy was taken aback when Roku asked this question, but she still replied with warm smile

"Life path"
