Synopsis
On the day of Adam Collins’ graduation, the skies split open. The gods descended, merciless and divine, wiping out 40% of Earth’s population and rewriting the very laws of reality. Monsters rose. Cities fell. And every surviving human was granted access to the Cosmic Stream System a mysterious force that governed the new world and offered unimaginable power. Some became heroes. Others, monsters in human form. As chaos spread, Adam Collins unlocked a power unlike any other the Book of Origin, a legendary artifact said to contain all secrets of the universe… and beyond. With it, he could create skills that defied logic and peer into the very fabric of existence—but only if he survived long enough to master it. Meanwhile, Dennis Drake, a lone warrior on his own quest, crosses paths with Adam. Together, they form an uneasy alliance to battle gods, uncover hidden truths, and protect what remains of humanity. But as they fight back, they uncover a darker secret… The gods aren’t just invaders, they're prisoners. Hunted by Outer Gods and exiled to alternate worlds, Adam and his team must become legends. Yet nothing prepares them for the ultimate revelation: their universe is a dream a story created by an unimaginably ancient being. Now, Adam must do the impossible craft a story powerful enough to break the illusion, reach the true reality, and awaken the Ancient God within… or let existence fade into forgotten fiction.

Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1: THE NEW BEGINNING

The atmosphere in FUTA (Federal University of Technology, Akure) was lively because today was the graduation for the final year students. The street was busy as each final year student put on their graduation gowns and walked in through the school gate with their family members or friends.

A young man in his mid-twenties, dressed in a black t-shirt and green jeans, his short, curly hair seems to shine under the sun. His name's Adam Collins, a book nerd who has no interest in relationships despite his handsome look. He stood by the gate, waiting for his parents. He took out his phone and dialed his father's phone number, but it couldn't connect through.Collins frowned. He told his parents about when his graduation was going to be held so that they could arrive early and join him.Just as Collins was repeatedly dialing his parents numbers, a young man in a graduation gown slowly crept up behind him and then shouted, "HAAA!!" The young man jumped and shouted, trying to scare Collins, but Collins was unfazed as he looked at the young man, who was his only best friend from his course department, as if looking at someone who has a loose screw."Tch, as least try to be scared," the young man whose name was James said."And why should I be? After all, I can't even count the numbers of times you did this, and it seems it won't have an end," Collins retorted apathetically."You're boring; I wonder how I managed to still be your BFF," James said with exasperation "Well forget about it; are you still waiting for your parents?" James asked."Yes, they should have arrived early," Collins replied."Well congratulations, me and you are in the same boat; our parents are not here yet; do you know what that means?" James asked with a cunning smile.

Collins looked at James with frowned brows, not understanding what he meant.

James had a frustrated look on his face as he asked

"except for reading books, thinking about the stupid things you read, writing about what you understand and your parents, don't you think about anything else?"

"What's there to think of if it is not something you are interested in?"

"Now you have hurt my feelings, that means you don't think of me, your best friend." James said in a low voice with a hurtful expression.

Collins couldn't bear his friend mischievousness any longer and said

"Alright, alright, I always think about you since you are my friend."

James immediately created some distance between himself and Collins, leaving Collins to wonder what he was doing

"I know we are best friends but let it be best friends, after all I'm straight." James said as if afraid.

It took a while before Collins could understand the meaning of James word, he immediately kicked James butt which made James to jumped and laughed wildly.

"Don't let me catch you." Collins chased after James. Although he was a book nerd, he still knows how to have fun sometimes.

Just as Collins and James were busy chasing after one another, the sky darkened as lightning strikes and thunder rumbled.

Everyone raised their head as they weren't expecting rainfall, they began to hurry to a place where the rain won't affect them. But they rain they were expecting didn't fall, it wasn't only Akure that this phenomenal was happening, other lands, countries, continents was experiencing it also.

The phenomenal was very strange that even meteorologists couldn't explain what was happening.

After thirty minutes of this strange phenomenal occured, it suddenly became quite and in the next moments, lights with different colours began to shone from the sky.

"Is it rapture?"

"No, no I haven't even enjoy much life on earth."

"What am I going to do? I haven't even repent from my sins, I even slept with my friend girlfriend."

While some people were lamenting on how they lived their life, some were happy.

"Thanks to Jesus Christ, our lord, finally we can ascend to heaven."

"Thank God I gave my soul to Jesus Christ."

"Now we shall no longer suffer from our imperfect flesh."

Some men and women were dancing, jubilating, some kneeled and raised both hands and their head to the sky, tears flowing out from their eyes with a content smile on their face.

While all these was happening, the dome of heaven split open and three angels with two pairs of wings each came out, which made the denizens of earth to erupt in happiness for living the good way of life and sadness and regret for living the bad way of life.

Using some strange powers, all earth denizens could see them.

The angel in the middle had a weird cunning smile on his face but no one on earth could see it.

"You lowlifes of this world have been granted an opportunity to entertain the gods with your pathetic lifes, those phenomenal that you saw earlier was to change the law of this world, to suit what the gods want. In the next thirty minutes, your pathetic lifes will change and everyone will try their best to entertain the gods." The angel proclaimed.

All the people of earth couldn't understand the language that the angel used but for some reasons they could understand what he meant. Their facial expressions changed.

Those that have been happy about Rapture felt as if they had been dropped into hell. Although those that had committed sins repeatedly mind were now at ease but they knew that they lives no longer belong to them, according to the angel, they are now the source of entertainment for the so-called Gods.

"Farewell and do your best to entertain the Gods, you low life." The three angels disappeared just like that, without further information or anything.

Collins faced changed when he heard what the angel said. He hurriedly picked his phone and dialed his parents phone number but it was still unreachable.

"Damnit." He cursed with frustration.

"Fuck it, go back home and hide don't come out be quick."

Collins heard James cursed as he sends back his family. He repeatedly tried his parents phone number but none was going through.

Everywhere was in disorder, in the next thirty minutes their lives will change. Everyone wanted to hide not wanting to become a plaything of the gods.

Collins and James stood next to one another, not knowing what to do, especially Collins, he couldn't get to his parents which made him worried.

"let's go back to the dorm, today graduation seems null already." James suggested.

"Yes, let's go."

They both began to run towards the direction of their dorm, although Collins was worried about his parents, but there wasn't anything he could do about it.
