Synopsis
Elric traveled to a high-level fantasy world and became a lord who designed a dungeon. All the power and knowledge here are obtained from the dungeon, thus the adventurers who brush the dungeon and the lords who design the dungeon are born. So, Elric used his past game developer knowledge and spread the proper game like worlds. For his dungeon Elric decided to have its core theme be Souls-Like. However, this also put the adventurers in a hellish torture. ... Adventurer 1: "No, whose dungeon would put a BOSS at the birthplace?!" Adventurer 2: "Is it reasonable to place a row of snipers on both sides of the single-plank bridge? Do you want me to fly over?!" Adventurer 3: "Lord, please stop planning. I have something to ask you..." … Other dungeon invaders: "What? I spent tens of thousands of troops to kill the BOSS, and you tell me it's just a small monster in the first level?!" … Mr. Elric: "Sorry, the monsters in my dungeon are both numerical and mechanical monsters."

Chapter 1 - Lord of Godwin Dungeon

[Congratulations on becoming the new Lord of Godwin Dungeon.]

[May your journey be blissed ]

"Huh?" Elric's eyes shot up upon hearing the mechanical voice in his head. "Dungeon? Lord? Where am I?"

Elric looked around and found himself in a tavern. He was standing behind the bartender's counter, wearing a white shirt with a blue tie. The tavern was empty with no one in sight. He stared ahead and saw the door closed tightly.

Elric stood still with his mind in a blank state.

At that moment, he ached in pain. Countless pieces of information filled his mind, letting him understand his current situation.

A couple of hours later, when Elric sorted out all of the information, he couldn't help but murmur to himself. "I can't believe I am reborn in a fantasy world."

Elric was an Earthling who died overworking for Slizzard. Truth be told, he should be blamed for working in that company even after all the horrible stuff they did.

Fortunately, he was once again reborn in a fantasy world, where everything is possible. And he felt like he got the easiest job too.

It was becoming a Dungeon Lord.

Dungeon Lords are a group of beings who design dungeons to help adventurers. Adventurers can train themselves and receive all kinds of rewards, ranging from weapons, items, artifacts, skills, and inheritance, and the list goes on. In return, the dungeon lords get Spirit Sources, which are obtained after adventurers die and let out all the emotions they have gone through in the dungeon.

Spirit Sources are the backbone for running a dungeon. It is used for daily maintenance costs, making various maps and enemies, and upgrading lords' privilege and levels.

As a game designer, Elric felt he was the best suited for this job. Unfortunately, the dungeon he inherited was a bit famous. It was called the "Number One Wheelchair Dungeon" in the region.

When Elric checked the reason, he was left dumbfounded.

The dungeon his predecessor made can't even be called a dungeon; it should be called an amusement park.

In the first level of the map, adventurers had to herd a group of slimes in an enclosure, and they passed the level.

Elric was completely left dumbfounded seeing this level, and it didn't end there.

At the next level, the adventurers have to group up with a pack of wolves and help them fight another pack of wolves. Finally, the last level fights a Silver Tailed Tiger. One just has to release the slimes they put in the enclosure, and they can easily kill the Silver-Tailed Tiger.

Because for whatever reason, the Silver Tailed Tiger likes to lick the slimes very much and have their senses loose. Resulting in adventurers easily putting down the boss.

"Heretic! Pure heretic! Who designs a dungeon like this?! This is a fantasy world, and the only thing you came up with is a slice of life bullshit! Fuck! This is even a slander to the slice of life genre. There are so many better ways to use the slice of life genre!" Elric slammed the counter, as he had never felt this much annoyance in his life. Yes, not even when he heard Slizzard's CEO would be buying a yacht for his 16th girlfriend and not raising his salary after bleeding so much for his company.

After calming himself down, Elric checked the rewards for this dungeon, which led him to let out a sigh. The rewards were too rich for this type of dungeon. Maybe his predecessor knew his dungeon was poopoo, so he lured the newbies in with the rewards.

Unfortunately this was just a short-term benefit. Elric knew people would later be bored and leave, despite the rich reward presented before them.

"So, now I know why you were terminated from becoming a Dungeon Lord." Elric was wondering why the predecessor was forced to quit, and now everything made sense.

"But now that I have inherited this dungeon. I will make this the best dungeon in the world." Elric thought in his mind and instantly teleported inside his lord's room. A bunch of digitalized screens suspended before him, showcasing everything happening inside the dungeon. Because he arrived recently, the dungeon was closed, resulting in no one being able to enter.

Elric sat on his throne made of stone and began designing.

The first thing Elric did was recycle everything, then he looked at how much Spirit Source he had.

[Name: Lord Godwin

 Rank: Bronze

 Authority: Absolute Zone

 Spirit Source: 5000

 Inspiration Source: 500]

An average mob costs 20, an elite costs 50, and a boss costs 100. If the units are special, their prices increase alongside. You don't have to use Spirit Source to make items, weapons, or skills, as they come alongside with the units you create. But if you want to increase their power—just like Elric's predecessor did—you have to use Spirit Source.

To make new units, skills, weapons, items, and zones, you need to use Inspiration Source. However, they are given a fixed amount in every rank, unlike Spirit Sources, which can be earned in various ways.

So, Elric had carefully thought about what he had to create. Because he was from the golden age of gaming, he had a massive amount of knowledge that he could use to create various things. But that also put him in a dilemma.

After careful consideration, he finally knew what type of dungeon he should make, and the answer he came up with was Soulslike.

The reason for this was he clearly knew how much this genre was beloved by the fans. No matter what type of audience you are, you will love every bit of it. Because this is a fantasy world, the adventurers will love the hard combat aspect of it.

Elric still remembers so many people waiting for Bone Borne 2, despite the original being released so many years ago.

"I hope the people of this world will also be hyped up for my game… I mean my dungeons." With great ambition, Elric dived into designing his first dungeon.
