Synopsis
The gods abandoned the world. Then they came back to play with its ashes. After being betrayed and left for dead by the people she once called comrades—her friends, her lover—Loraine awakens in a ruined city, drenched in her own blood and rage. But death didn't claim her. Something else did. A divine system has bonded to her soul—the Infinite Plundering System, gifted by the forgotten goddess of darkness, Valdoriya. With it, Loraine can steal the abilities, strength, and essence of everything she slays. And in a world overrun by monsters, undead, and divine madness, there’s no shortage of prey. The gods may have started this game, but Loraine refuses to be their pawn. With steel in her grip and vengeance burning in her heart, she’ll carve her path to the top—plundering her way through friend and foe alike, until even the gods tremble before her. They took everything from her. Now she’ll take everything from them.

Chapter 1 - Bloom Of Resurrection

The sun was nowhere to be seen in a broken world long abandoned by gods. The sun had lost it's radiance, the clouds have lost their gentle touch, and the wind blew colder than ever, a chilling sound ringing from miles to another.

A young girl lied on the ground, her body and clothes bathed crimson by her own blood. Her eyes, once lifeless and distant, now stared at the ceiling of a rundown building, wide, frightened, and still in the process of going through shock.

"Am I…..alive?" The words left her mouth with a small crack in her voice, she had never once imagined herself uttering those exact words, her heart hammered in a chest like a drum. Her body never felt as warm as if was feeling now.

The freezing temperatures of death, the suffocating numbness that once surrounded every nerve of her body from head to toe, it was all too painful to bear, and at the same time, not painful at all.

After a few minutes of staring at the ceiling and recollecting herself, she prompted herself to stand up, her knees almost giving out under the mass of her body. It was as if she didn't know how her own body felt, and how to operate it.

Her hand came to rest on her stomach, the memory flashing before her very eyes as she remembered how she her body had been torn by the very people she trusted, her friends, her comrades….her lover.

"How…..how could she…" She felt her heart shatter as she felt a powerful sting in her chest, never had she expected her everything to betray her once the apocalypse had started, and so easily at that.

[Do you wish to open it?]

[Yes] [No]

"Ah!" Loraine stumbled back as she saw the golden luminous panel materialize before her, speaking in a robotic tone that caught her by wandering mind by surprise.

She stood there in silence, her mind still reeling from the recent events as it desperately tried to wrap all the information around it.

"Wait! It's actually real…I wasn't seeing things?" She asked herself, her breathing growing faster as she could feel her blood rushing through her veins.

"O-Open it." She answered, a hint of uncertainty in her voice.

The golden screen soon expanded before her eyes, bearing forth notifications straight out of a video game.

[Ding! You've received a Crude Iron Sword(Common)]

[Ding! You've Received a Trinket Of Faith(Uncommon)]

[Ding! You've Received 100 Plundering Points]

[Ding! You Have 1 Unread Letter]

[Do You Wish To Open It?]

Loraine examined the screen before her eyes, she still couldn't believe that something like this was actually happening to her at this very moment.

The items given wasn't anything extraordinary, but she would make use with what she got.

Loraine decided to open the unread letter she apparently had, she wasn't even aware this 'System' could receive letters.

[Title: This should be enough to get you started on your journey]

[From: Valdoriya]

[I've you see this letter then it means that the Infinite Plundering System has successfully installed within you.

I know that you have many questions on your mind, but since I don't necessarily have the time, I can't explain every thing in good detail, so you're going to have to uncover your own questions on your own.

I've given you a little starter package to help you survive in this little game the gods are playing, it's not much, but it should be enough to get you started.

The system I have given to you comes from my very essence as a god, which means that you aren't human anymore, but someone destined to become much greater.

I will send you more letters the further you progress in this little game, and I will continue watching you along your journey.

Now go forth, my champion, show the world the true meaning of pain and take away all that comes in your way.

-Valdoriya]

"Champion…." Her eyes lingered on the word as she took a deep breath to calm herself down. The letter didn't answer much of anything, instead it only served to bring more questions into her mind.

Her mind then began to wander somewhere else, more specifically to the memories of her former friends and comrades. The people she had trusted with her life, only for them to stab her in the back and kill her there on the spot, no remorse, no hesitation.

"Zack…Lisa…..Carl...…."

"Mia…." As the name of her lover left her mouth, her fists clenched with the rage boiling through her being.

"How could you do this to me!? How could you kill me like this!? After everything we've been through! After everything I've done for you!" Loraine shouted to herself, her voice echoed off the walls, reverberating throughout.

Tears rolled down her face as her voice cracked and she chocked a sob, "After all I sacrificed...just to be with you.....you…..you….." She clenched her teeth, wiping the tears off her face.

After reaching the ends of the hallway, a large hole revealing the devastating state of the world came before her eyes. The city was in ruins, with beasts and monsters of all kinds rummaging through the streets, their roars and growls echoing through out the whole city.

She was elevated high above ground level, so she didn't have to worry about the nightmares that loomed below her. Her face wandered towards the sky once more, her resolve hardening like steel as she didn't feel as frightened as she did seeing the apocalypse appearing for the first time.

"You come into my life....and take away everything dear to me….." She muttered, gazing into the sky as she referenced the Gods that took away the peace of her former home.

"You toy with the lives of my family, my friends, my love! And turn them all against me!?" She shouted, her voice reverberating in the air as she felt her anger and rage resurface once more.

"Why!? Why did you have to come to our world!? Why did you have to ruin my life!? Why couldn't you sick bastards have your fun someplace else!?" Her throat started to hurt with the amount of shouting she was letting on, and even if she would strain her voice, she didn't care.

"Listen here! Every single one of you so-called Gods!"

"I'll kill you! Everything single one of you will die by my hands!"

Suddenly, a loud growl came from behind Loraine that startled her for a moment, prompting her to turn around slowly.

Her eyes turned serious as she locked eyes with a group of zombies that started rapidly dashing towards her, roaring from their rotten lungs.

"Just as this world has taken everything me….." She muttered, taking out the [Crude Iron Sword] from her Inventory and holding it tightly in her grip.

"I'll take everything from the world….one kill at a time….."
