Chapter 1 - Death

Under the unforgiving midday sun, hundreds of men and women worked tirelessly to mine the priceless metal within a quarry. it is here we find our protagonist.

He was a diamond faced youth of 16 years with a snub nose, bright red down turned eyes and bow shaded lips. His dark brown skin was riddled with scars from the many times the guards and his master had taken their frustration out on him. This had left him with a deep seated hatred for them and today would be the day he would finally get his revenge.

The slaves working in the mines and the the masters manor had been planning a rebellion for the past year and a half. They had amassed weapon and had also obtained detailed maps of the Godwin manor and their other properties.

As he was working, a fellow slave was walking towards a guard. He was five feet away from the guard when suddenly the ground began to shake. With the majority of the slaves having never experienced an earthquake, they immediately started to panic.

This lasted no more that the one minute but by then almost everyone was in a frenzied panic. This state of confusion and fear was a perfect cover for the the rebelling slave to begin their attack. The guards while not as panicked and confused, were for the most part undisciplined street thugs and retire military men. So the were overrun by hundreds of slave wielding old rusted weapons which they then discarded for the for the guards.

In a matter of minutes, the slaves were in full control of the mine.
