Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - Symbiote

(BE WARNED! TREAT THIS AS AN AU AS NOT EVERYTHING WILL FOLLOW THE ORIGINAL)

In the endless expanse of white that lay between life and death, a soul drifted aimlessly, without a clear path. Time felt irrelevant as the flickering essence gradually began to awaken to its own existence.

"Where am I? Who am I? What am I?"

It pondered its being, grappling with confusion as it attempted to perceive the surroundings.

Without warning, snippets of memories flooded its consciousness, coming together to form a clearer understanding of its identity.

"I am Clark, from the Philippines. But where am I?"

Like a lost lamb, he searched his mind for answers, yet found nothing definitive. He was aware of his death, yet the answers eluded him, trapped like a forbidden curse, echoing from the depths of despair.

"What's happening? My memories... They're shattered? Why?"

Clark whispered, even though he couldn't hear his own voice. Just as he began to make sense of his scattered memories, a brilliant light enveloped him unexpectedly.

---

In some distant part of the Universe, a blue planet adorned with expansive green landscapes comes into view.

A small meteorite is on a path toward this planet.

This vibrant world is home to countless creatures, from humble grasshoppers to massive mammals like elephants.

Among all living beings, humans wield the greatest power, equipped with advanced technology, firearms, grenades, tanks, and aircraft.

However, such power often resides with those at the top—kings, lords, and presidents.

Greed often consumes them, though a few, like the people of Wakanda, choose a different path.

To protect their tranquility, they prefer to remain withdrawn from the wider world, even when they have the resources to engage and acquire more.

With their abundant supply of vibranium, they stand as the wealthiest nation on Earth.

Their technological advancements enable them to rival and even surpass most other countries.

Suddenly, a fist-sized meteorite breached the protective barrier surrounding Wakanda, passing through effortlessly.

The barrier rippled momentarily before returning to its original state, with the meteorite crashing into one of Wakanda's corners.

A dark liquid oozed from the meteorite, seemingly searching for life, as if it were instinctively drawn to something.

It quickly lunged at a nearby rhinoceros, enveloping its face and making its way inside to forge a symbiotic bond.

The rhinoceros couldn't even let out a sound as it felt its throat constrict before succumbing to the substance.

Unable to fight back, the black liquid became the dominant force in this new relationship.

'Have I transformed into a symbiote?'

Indeed, this symbiote is named Carl, who has arrived in Wakanda and taken over the rhinoceros.

As he surveyed his surroundings, Carl realized he was in a lush landscape full of trees, with rhinoceroses grazing nearby.

Before he could fully appreciate the beauty of the scene, a translucent screen appeared in front of him.

[Host had successfully bonded to a living entity, Entry System has been activated.

This system will only show you the functions and will cease to communicate upon completion.

Here are the functions of the Entry System.

Status: You can see the status of yourself and your entries successfully extracted.

Inventory: This can store the DNA of a living entity for you to extract. Exclusive only for DNA.

Descriptions and Usage of Entry System: Entry System is a system that extracts the DNA of a living entity once per day and it will only work once on the same living entity.

Once it has been extracted from said living entity, you cannot and forever will be unable to extract it once again from said living entity.

As I have completed relaying to the host, Good luck on your journey.]

Carl, feeling utterly confused, attempted to reach out to the system to find out where he was and why he had become a symbiote.

However, true to its nature, the system stopped communicating as soon as it completed its task.

Now, Carl found himself staring blankly at the screen, unsure of what to do next.

Suddenly thrust into an unfamiliar environment with no prior knowledge, he felt a deep sense of disorientation. In this vast world, both known and unknown to him, Carl realized he was all alone.

"Am I in the Marvel Universe? Is this the comics or the MCU? I don't have much knowledge about comics, just a bit about the MCU," he thought to himself.

He was even uncertain about how Tom Holland's Spider-Man got his powers since there hadn't been any clear explanations.

"To make things worse, I have no idea what year it is that I've been dropped into."

Carl was in quite a bind, his rhinoceros form breathing heavily with anxiety.

The thought of powerful celestial beings capable of wreaking havoc on Earth added to his panic. He recalled the mad titan Thanos, who with just a snap of his fingers had wiped out half the universe's population, and the Asgardians, with their divine abilities, could summon elements and wield control over death.

Now a symbiote, Carl felt the weight of his panic but struggled to regain his composure. His mind raced as he tried to devise a plan for what lay ahead.

In his state of distress, he momentarily forgot about the EntrySystem he had.

As an ordinary human thrust into a perilous situation, he felt overwhelmed by the dangers surrounding him, which only added to his anxiety.

Eventually, as he took a deep breath to calm himself, Carl came to terms with his new reality after an agonizing period of denial and acceptance.

He directed his attention to the screen before him, determined to make sense of it by exploring it like a child would with a new toy.

His first step was to check his status.

[ Name: N/A (Carl)

Species:CorruptedSymbiote - A symbiote who's independent and is not in control by Knull, the Creator of Symbiote.

Entry:

Symbiote(Red) - Control and Corrupt

Description: Permanently boosts all physical stats by 5x, but host's will constantly battle the symbiote'sdominance.]

(It boosts his overall physical stats like strength, endurance, agility, dexterity, healing factor for physical and so on. As long as it aligns with physical stats)

"Symbiote? Why would I receive an entry for a symbiote if I already am one? Plus, it's rated at the highest tier, Red.

From what I understand, the ranking goes white, green, blue, gold, and finally red, with red being the top level."

Carl felt a bit puzzled, but he didn't linger on it and continued to explore all the functions of his system.

The inventory feature was straightforward—it could only hold DNA, which included samples from skin, nails, hair, or even flesh, and there's a limit of one sample per person per day.

Additionally, DNA from deceased individuals couldn't be used for entry.

As Carl processed this information, he let out a resigned sigh.

After familiarizing himself with all the functions, Carl finally connected with the rhinoceros. He instinctively realized that he had absorbed about 5% of its strength, speed, and even durability, making him noticeably stronger and tougher than before.

Directing his focus on the rhinoceros, Carl morphed into a black substance that enveloped the entire animal as it growled.

Its form expanded, towering higher than it ever had, its fierce white eyes intensely scanning the surroundings, ready to unleash chaos.

Yet, it was aware that this surge of power was temporary, as the guardian and ruler of Wakanda would easily overpower it.

However, Carl was disoriented and had no idea where he was, nor had the creature he bonded with encountered the King of Wakanda.

All he saw were people dressed in tribal attire, leading him to believe that he had been transported to an ancient time, far removed from the busy 21st century he once knew.

With a thought, the black armor enveloping the rhinoceros quickly retracted as if it had never existed.

Now, he chose to test the entry system, attempting to extract DNA from the rhinoceros.

As a symbiote, it was a simple task for him to obtain a sample, transforming it into an entry card that then vanished and integrated into his body.

[Rhino Charge(White) - Kinetic Impact

Description: Gain 2x momentum-based impact force, enhancing charges and collisions for greater knockback and destruction.]

As soon as Carl got the entry, he could sense the power of the system flowing through him, filling his body with energy. He quickly realized he had acquired a new knowledge of his talent.
