—"Obito... Obito, wake up!"
Disoriented and confused, Edward opened his eyes and looked around. Everything was destroyed—rubble and ashes covered the landscape. He glanced down at his body and, with growing disbelief, realized it wasn't his own.
His gaze shifted to the man standing before him, a silver-haired ninja wearing a mask that felt eerily familiar. His eyes widened in shock as recognition hit.
"What the hell...? Kakashi Hatake? What's Kakashi doing here? Wait... did he just call me Obito?"
A sudden surge of memories struck him like lightning. Images, emotions, battles, and moments from Obito Uchiha's life flooded his mind, intertwining with his own. It felt as though two identities were fighting for space inside the same body.
—"Obito, what's wrong? Why are you clutching your head like that?" — Kakashi asked, alarmed by Edward's reaction.
Edward barely registered the words. "This is insane. How did Obito handle all this emotional baggage in his life?" he thought.
Finally, he managed to reply:
—"It's nothing, Kakashi. I'm fine... What's going on?"
The turmoil in Edward's mind was obvious. Based on his knowledge, Obito had died, disintegrating after the battle against Kaguya. So why was he here now?
—"There's no time to explain everything right now, but... after defeating Kaguya, Naruto and Sasuke started fighting—"
A deafening explosion cut Kakashi off. Edward turned toward the horizon and saw a massive detonation lighting up the sky. A Bijūdama had just exploded nearby.
—"So this is Naruto and Sasuke's final battle... Looks like they're just getting started," — Edward muttered to himself.
—"Come on, Obito! We have to stop them before they kill each other!" — Kakashi said, sprinting toward the explosion.
—"Wait. No, Kakashi. Let them be," — Edward replied, stopping him. His voice was firm and resolute.
—"What are you saying?" — Kakashi turned back to him, stunned. —"Why do you think this fight will solve anything?"
Edward sighed and answered with strange calm:
—"I don't know. Just a hunch."
The response seemed to unsettle Kakashi.
—"I've never heard you talk like this, Obito. What's wrong with you?"
Edward shrugged and murmured under his breath:
"In the series, Kakashi didn't talk this much..."
Then, more seriously, he added:
—"I've just changed. And I'll accept whatever punishment I deserve for what I've done."
Kakashi fell silent, studying Edward with a mix of doubt and curiosity. Finally, the two of them sat on a nearby rock, watching from a distance as the fierce battle between Naruto and Sasuke unfolded with overwhelming intensity.

Hey, I wanted to write something longer, but in the next chapters, I plan to explain what the story is about—and I think I've set it up pretty well here. I was really eager to write this. Hope you like it!
