Since time immemorial, the legend has been passed down—that of the hero against the Demon King. This myth, as old as the world itself, was not to be taken lightly. At every turn of human history, this entity that worked against mankind was destined to appear.
But how is it that, despite the existence of such a being, humanity has endured long enough to turn this story into a legend?
Well, the answer was the hero. It is said that the first was summoned by the Goddess; then, she passed down the method to men so that, whenever evil awoke, the next one would be summoned to face it.
When evil was defeated, men experienced a relatively long period of peace. All of this was but the past; absolute evil was no more, even if darkness still reigned. Man being a creature that forgets, after so much time, even these legends should have vanished from memory or become myths to put children to sleep.
But that was not the case.
