Chapter 1 - Alpha

Existence came to be when a being blew his breath; the pitch-black and vast sea of nothingness became a sea of light. With a glimmer, universes were formed, galaxies emerged, and stars collided.

Time began to tick.

The infinite universe sprouted galaxies, and within galaxies, planets and life emerged.

The planets grew and grew; they became older as time passed, and life evolved. As time continued, the creator, the absolute force, stood in front of his creation—a sea of universes—and with one movement of his hand, they would collide and vanish.

In every universe, life continued to expand nonstop, but the universe was considered infinite, so the creator did not bother himself.

He let life continue as he slowly created creatures that he fancied and sent them to their own respective planets.

Man was among his most delighted creations. They were perfect yet flawed; they were fragile, so he helped them until they could manage. That took thousands of years, and finally, man, of all universes, could adapt.

And he let them be.

Billions of creatures were made, and he gave man many more things to discover until he finally stopped and only watched them.

Well, since I got tired that is.

"Master! Humans are fighting again! And not just that; your entire creation is destroying itself!"

A woman with short green hair kneeled down in front of me, I was lying on clean marble, looking out into the stars. I responded with silence.

"Ugh... Master, do I have to bring Amaryllis here?"

With that, I slowly turned towards the girl and spoke.

"Listen, Chloe, even if you were my creation, I gave you your own personality and choices, and you chose to be with me. But that woman—her personality is mixed up."

"Hmm? She's fine with me, though."

"That's right; she's fine when she's with you guys," I sighed and stood up. "Lead the way, then."

"Understood, master." Chloe led the way. We went into a white hallway with a red and gold carpet.

The path was straight, with no doors of any kind—just chandeliers for decoration.

"He's here," Chloe spoke, and in front of us was a white wall that looked like a dead end, and something appeared.

A straight line that slowly widened appeared in the wall; it was black and had the pattern of the universe in it.

"Will you go ahead, master?"

"Alright." I stepped into the black space and emerged into a wide hall with the same red and gold carpet. In front of me was a throne with several steps.

I walked forward, sat down on the throne, I tilted head, and put my elbow on the throne to rest.

A woman with black hair appeared in front of me. She was kneeling on one knee on the ground, with the other knee by her chest.

"We apologize for having disturbed your peace, our dearest creator, but—"

"This isn't comfortable."

She stopped speaking, and her eyes widened as she opened her mouth.

"EXECUTE the craftsman who made his throne! Throw him into an abyss so their souls won't rest!"

A man walked up towards the woman with black hair. He was tall, had red hair, and purple eyes. He knelt beside the woman.

"Forgive Amaryllis, master. You know how she acts. The craftsman's lineage will cease to exist immediately."

These two are dramatic as usual.

I smacked my own face and let out a very deep and loud sigh.

"The craftsman will live and bring cushions. Report immediately, and let's get over it."

"Understood, master," they both said in sync.

"Mhmm, so? What's the matter? I'm sure you can handle everything. Why do I have to be involved?"

"Master, we request that some of the universe be destroyed; some are already dead, with no living creatures over the past years."

"Done. Next?" In a matter of seconds, millions of universes vanished as if they had never existed, it was that simple anyway.

"Thank you for your hard work. We would also like for you to be with us later, if that is possible, of course."

"For what purpose?"

"It's a matter of great importance; we ask that you agree."

"Very well, if my creation says so, then I will go to you later."

"Thank you, master; that is all." They both vanished into thin air, leaving me alone in the vast space with this throne.

Everything is as it should be; though mortals rebel from time to time, they mean nothing. What more is there to do? I stared at the wall with boredom.

I waved my hand, and an image appeared. It was a dimensional mirror that allowed me to see different worlds, even though they were millions of miles away.

"Endless things to watch, yet none captivate me."

The room is vast and empty; what's left is the throne and my presence, so I guess I'm alone... or am I?

"My dear omniscient reader, no, there are no other characters around here—just you and me. Since I've got nothing to do, why don't I tell you a story?"

In the plains of nothingness, I alone stood there. With a touch of both my hands, lights sprang up: stars, universes, galaxies—but I'm sure you have already known this.

So let me tell you something that wasn't said while the planets and creatures were being created.

I slept.

Of course, leaving my creations alone would be stupid, so I made eight beings to handle everything while I was busy sleeping. The only mishap was accidentally giving them personalities.

So my guard was down, and with them being in front of me, I slept, but they stuck with me, and they knew their job.

My powers were portioned to what they could handle, and they went out and created all kinds of living things.

When I woke up, the place that was pure darkness had become a grand palace with stars surrounding it. I was lying down on a grand bed.

When I stood up, all eight of my creations popped up and kneeled. As a reward for giving them the task of creation, they asked me to make an existence that would live in the worlds they created, and they were humans.

Well, that was a eons ago. I think... I dunno; I forget from time to time. It's not like I was present when everything happened. A million universes are much harder to handle than you'd think.

I sleep from time to time, spanning from a thousand to a hundred thousand years, and when I do wake up, I do my usual activities: read novels, watch anime, and read manga! Truly, one of man's best creations so far, especially the novels; they're exciting.

"Master... It's time."

"Oh, time passed by that quickly? This is the first time I want time to move slower."

".... Be careful of what you say, Master, or else it will come true."

Ah, well, that's that. Time to start a story of my own. Being here and moving around planets is irritating and boring.
