Chapter 2 - Boredom

"Lisa, why are you the one picking me up?" It's not like I have anything against her.

"Because I lost a game called rock-paper-scissors," uh, my usual partner is Chloe, the green-haired girl from before, since she's one of the most reliable and probably the most normal out of all of my creations.

When I was beginning to close my eyes and went into a deep slumber, she was the first to sit beside me. It was blurry, but I vividly remember.

Of course, she's not my favorite, though, since I take no favorites among them. And why would I?

"Then, if you please, master..."

We finally arrived. There, she stood beside the massive door and opened it for me. Dramatic bright lights came about, and when they disappeared, there was a garden.

The sky... Well, we're in the middle of space, so is it really a sky? Anyway, bushes and flowers surrounded the entire place, and a massive fountain was in the center of it.

Beside the fountain was a group of people—seven to be exact.

They seemed to be having a very serious talk. Amaryllis was having a serious talk with a man, and I could see Chloe frowning and sighing.

I stayed by the door as I watched them swearing at each other. "Say, Lisa, why don't you silence them while I watch? Wouldn't that be fun?"

"Impossible! Our fight would destroy thousands of your marvelous creations, and if all of us were to fight, it might go on for an eternity while destroying millions in the process."

"Why don't I lend you some of my marvelous powers then?"

"Impossible. Giving me authority over the others would be displeasing. I do not want to be your equal or superior to my fellow creations."

That's good; they don't want to desire anything, but they only wish to serve me. No matter how I tempt them, they refused without hesitation.

"Let's break up the fight, then come with me."

"Yes, master."

"Oh look, it's our Lord!" Chloe had to point towards me. Well, it's not like they wouldn't know I was coming.

"Master—" they all shouted at the same time, but one person jumped towards me. His hair was dark and had small shining dots like the stars in the night sky.

He held a big sword, and with that, he pointed it at me with a grin on his face.

From my experience... or from the experience I got from novels, an OP person will die when his companion kills them, and they suddenly reincarnate into a human body.

"Ah..." It's one of those novels I read. I see then, "my time has come; you must continue your journeys without me."

"Master!!!"

Ching!

"It... was a nice try, Gawain," the sword stopped before it even reached me. Being protected by my own presence feels nice.

"Thank you for your compliment, Master!" He dropped his sword, which caused a loud bang, and fully bowed to the ground.

I didn't compliment you, though. Saying I complimented you while you tried to kill me feels like a horrible feeling.

"I see you have crafted yet another world-ending sword."

"Ah, thank you for noticing! This is one of my latest works. This will be handed to some random universe so that they can use it."

Basically, it's a holy relic striking a random planet, and then the people will see it as a holy sword given by some strong entity to vanquish the demon king. But in truth, this guy just tosses it for people to use with no intentions.

"Keok!" Gawain was slapped and crashed into the fountain.

"Master, we have been awaiting your arrival." They were all kneeling, and they created a path that led to a chair.

I walked up to it and sat down. Chloe handed me a cushion in advance.

"So? What seems to be the problem?"

"As you've rested for thousands of years, we realized how great you were to manage millions of universes, but ultimately we too cannot handle all of them."

"So? You want me to destroy them, only leaving a handful so it will be enough to manage?"

"No, no, it's already been taken care of, Master."

A man stood up; he wore a black suit and looked like a businessman. He was Nikola. He waved his hand in the air, and a screen appeared.

"As you can see these are the universes."

Each one of them were like small glass balls that had tiny specks of light they were beautiful in everyway.

Nikola zoomed in on one of those random universes, and, well, again it was beautiful. But as he zoomed in further, he stopped in a place that was the same as my place.

Though that one had clouds, palaces, and stars, there were people.

"These are what humans call gods, and they have been taking care of the universes you've created."

"These gods handle things to keep everything in place, and they favor humans over all living things, but sometimes they completely ignore them," Nikola added.

"Did you create them?" While I was asleep, did they also create strong creatures?

"We did not. As we traveled to each universe, bringing new life and creatures, some of your divine power leaked out, and tiny dust formed those gods. It was thanks to your generous self that we don't have to worry about managing everything."

"Truly amazing! When you slept, you knew we couldn't handle everything, so you purposely left gaps so that as we traveled, other beings would be created, so we don't have tough times!" Nikola added as well, making the others clap.

"Well... What can I say?" Ah, classic. I didn't even know about these things, but now that they've misunderstood, I might as well go along with it.

"So, if it has already been handled, why do I have to do something?"

"Only a handful of universes know you; thousands out there haven't even known of your great existence!"

"We would like to introduce you as the creator of all and master of every creature."

"No."

"When they see you, their faces would lick the floor with your grace— wait, what?"

"I said no. To be honest, them knowing me doesn't really matter since I'm the creator. Those things that I didn't— I mean, those things that I MADE don't have the right to see me."

"Ah, we apologize, master. You are right; those feeble beings don't deserve to know your divine existence."

Would it be bad to say I'm too lazy to go around every universe?

"Are there any others? Since I'm bored, I need something to do that doesn't involve going around every universe."

"Bored....!" Amaryllis extended her hand, and a sword appeared. She gasped and aimed it towards her chest.

"What are you doing, Amaryllis?"

"Someone like you should not be bored! I failed to give you any entertainment; I will take this punishment upon myself."

"Stop her!" Immediately, the other seven jumped at her and grabbed her by the arms and legs, pinning her down on the ground.

"Amaryllis, you cannot vanish as you'd like; I need you."

"Master," her face turned a cute shade of red, and her pupils became the shape of hearts.

Well, she's beautiful, but that was a close call. That weapon can kill anyone, including all of my creations. I gave it to them as a gift.

It can kill them, but not me.

"Tsk tsk tsk, you're so dumb, aren't you, Amaryllis?"

"Shut your mouth, Alicia! The master has complimented me, so I'm in a good mood right now."

"That's enough, you two. Look at our master."

They looked at me with distressed faces, as if something was about to happen, or maybe something was already happening to me.

"All of you, gather around!" Nikola ordered as they all formed a circle in front of me.

They were talking in whispers.

"The master is bored! Nothing in this plain realm can entertain him."

"Our master shuts himself in his room to read those human-made books that have weird pictures in them."

"....." These guys... Are they seriously whispering? Because I'm pretty sure I can hear what they say word for word.

"What if I—"

"NO." Before Amaryllis could speak, Nikola and Gawain interfered. "The last thing the master needs is his own creation crawling on his bed. Your idea is rejected for an entire million years!"

".... Tch, I'm sure the master wouldn't mind, right?" She glanced at me, but I gave her a plain look in the eye.

I'm going to have to pass on that idea; it's impossible for me to have eyes on her.

"Auh~," she moaned when I just looked at her. What the hell is she imagining?

"Ah! Since Master likes certain creatures, how about we...." After that, they really did whisper. I could read their minds, but where's the surprise in that?

I'll just have to see what they come up with.
