Chapter 1 - Chapter One: The Uncrowned Prince

Miko Ryne a young black man of southern African decent was transmigrated into the world of one piece over a year ago. It was a real struggle working on the Ports of Nanohana until he worked up enough capital to start his business. he started off making glassware such as wineglasses, ornaments, etc. He made quite the profit as the raw material which was sand was in literal infinite abundance in Alabasta.

Another reason he made such high profits was his use of modern techniques from his previous life which resulted in higher quality works than what was currently available on the market, even when mass produced.

Another project he worked on was a somewhat primitive but systematic salt water purification process. With that he started selling bottled pure water as well as shipping them to other deeper parts of the Alabasta. And this was what caught the old king Nefertari Cobra's attention. Miko's shock could be imagined when the old king and a squad of his royal guard suddenly showed up at his doorstep.

Yes by now he had made a name for himself but he was still a small figure but the old king seemed to have particularly sharp eyes and invited him to Alubarna, the capital city of Alabasta. Of course he was somewhat hesitant as the old king had a large target on his back with a certain Warlord at the other side of the scope but eventually Miko took the risk and joined the King Cobra's side.

With the support and investment of the royal family he did hesitate to share many modern ideas and technologies which were seen as revolutionary in the eyes of many in Alabasta. In the span of a few short months he has drastically improved the lives and living standards of the citizens. Be it in sanitation, farming and irrigation, food processing, and even industry with the introduction of steam power. This was all thanks to his studies as an engineering brat.

In the time that followed Miko quickly came to serve as the old king's advisor when it came to many things in and out of politics, matter of fact it was due to his initiative that a truce was formed between the Royal Family and the Rebel Amy, a feet many failed to figure out how exactly he achieved it. Part of it however was a cooperation of shared technology such as water pump and a water purification systems.

The large scale construction of water purifiers and piping systems required a vast labor force. And between the Royal Guards 300,000 plus men and the rebel armies 700,000 it was akin to a colony of ants blazing trails through the desert. Funding for such a large scale project came straight from the royal vault but with the business Miko inspired money was rolling in faster than it was rolling out.

Six months later Alabasta and its surrounding cities was bursting with a thriving economy, all these changes brought about by one man. He was a visionary, a revolutionary and the uncrowned prince of Alabasta, Miko Ryne. It was a title that seemingly popped out of nowhere and no one know when and where it began. It however swiftly gained momentum as Miko's feet's were not without merit.

The fame and prosperity were not without its difficulties and he experienced a great deal of ambushes and assassination attempts obviously orchestrated by a certain crocodile. It was pretty obvious since it was him who ruined years of the warlord plans in all of a few months. What weirded Miko out was the fact that Crocodile obviously didn't put much effort into dealing with him.

With his sheer number of Devil Fruit users and agents dealing with him will not have been an issue and yet the man had been oddly silent and low key. As much as this worried him it gave him time to make many preparations, plans and backup plans to deal with the warlord. So as endearing as the warlords silence was Miko's momentum never ceases. The real game changer came when Alabasta's first railroad system was introduced on ninth month. Run by a steam engine it connected Nanohana and Alubarna, as a result transportation and other industries experienced a drastic increase productivity and business due to the faster logistical power.

The railway system interconnecting other cities throughout Alabasta, though this undertaking will take far longer than other projects due to the sheer scale of Alabasta with a land area which was 18.4 million square meters which is actually double the size of Russia. The growing railway network provided a great deal of jobs as well but then again Alabasta was host to a population of over 10 million.

The real game changer began on the twelfth month, one that could change the course of history. Buried deep within the soil of Alabasta lies a vast reservoirs of liquid gold, aka crude oil. As it would turn out Alabasta is the one piece equivalent of what Dubai is to modern Earth, an Oil Tycoon.

This opened up a whole world of possibilities that if successfully executed would put even Mary Geoise to shame in terms of financial prowess. Of course this would also paint an absurdly large target on their back and if the Holy Land doesn't get their share of the cake he wouldn't put it passed them to buster call the entire nation.

Hence this brought up his most pressing issue, power. He needs undisputed unrivaled power to hold his own in this world. During his year in this world other than his reforming of Alabasta he also spent a great deal of time train his body. Unfortunately he lacked the innate monstrous talent such as the likes of the D. Clan and other unholy beings. While he might have already far surpassed the prowess of Earths mightiest athletes post-time skip Luffy can easily whop his black ass.

At least that is what he thought until it began.

Though this system bore a striking resemblance to the one in the Gamer, this Gamification System not only turned him into a Gamer but gave him the outrageous ability to turn others into gamers as well. However this wasn't the limit of the gamifying function as he can also target other entities both living and non living. The possibilities were literally limitless.

"Uh Ryne-sama, now that you've found the so called liquid gold what do we do?" Pell asked as they stood outside the bustling oil drill.

"Execute Project Dubai, I want all facilities up and running by the beginning of next month." Miko replied firmly.

"Understood." having worked as his personal guard for almost a year, Pell replied without question.

He had long since been preparing for the extraction, processing and refinement of crud oil, even with the risk that he might not find any. Thankfully his efforts weren't in vain and with the uncovered crude oil he can finally put together the massive scale puzzle that many had been questioning about.

The pair soon mounted the Spot-Billed Duck Troopers, the same species as Vivi's mount Karoo. They then set off rapidly back to Alubarna through the Sandora Desert along with a platoon of Royal Guard escorting them camels.

As they travelled Miko explored his system. He noticed how intricate the the Mini map was, it encompassed everywhere he had ever been which is basically all of Alabasta, it displayed the terrain in 2D and 3D and there where many icons across the map with descriptions which popup when toggled. even better was its real time capabilities which indicated living entities within a certain vicinity, hostiles being red dots, yellow for neutral and green for friendly.

The Inventory had a seemingly infinite storage space made of countess boxes yet all of which were currently empty, this included the pet boxes too which were grayed out. Next he opened the Quest Log which only had the daily quest available.

"How original" Miko couldn't help mumble internally. Finally came the chat function which was completely locked as he was the only current player , for now at least. After doing a complete run through of his system Miko was hit with a sudden thought.

What are the System Wars?
