The silence stretched.

The question came quietly. But it changed everything. The director leaned back.

"You will be joining a group. NOCTIS. Training starts immediately."
Then his gaze shifted to Aru.
"And you...will continue acting."Another tap.
A new face appeared on the screen.

"Or"the director cut in smoothly,"we release everything."
A beat.
"Let's see how long your fans stay loyal then." That did it.
The room fell into silence, that felt like surrender.
