Synopsis
Guan Fuyun transmigrates into the Marvel universe — specifically the current, chaotic American version. This is a messed-up world filled with drug-enhanced supers, mutants, aliens, demons, gods, and complete lunatics running wild. Extreme disorder and danger everywhere. Fortunately, he binds to the Father's Sorrow System (also called Father's Worry System), which grants him invincibility as long as he raises a child properly. But the stray kid he picks up on the roadside turns out to be a young Homelander who just escaped from a secret lab. This kid version of Homelander was experimented on, controlled, and tortured since he was born. Yet he still grows up wanting to become a real superhero. His moral compass is surprisingly solid, and he's very obedient. He won't go crazy like some versions of Superman — screaming about justice and bonds while destroying his dad, his race, or his entire planet. The protagonist decides: "Alright... it's you then!" This is a translational story.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Chapter 1

New York City.

Superpowered criminals in flashy tight suits and provocative superheroes strutted through the streets, soaking up attention.

Famous heroes flew, swung, or floated dramatically overhead. Lesser-known ones brawled on street corners, grunting and shouting.

"Biubiubiu!"

Even ordinary people refused to be left out — looting stores for free, engaging in shootouts, and occasionally having full-blown psychotic breaks before collapsing on the spot.

But don't worry. This is America. The local urban legends go like this:

First Rule: Shootings are daily and normal. If the death toll stays under double digits, the news won't even bother reporting it. Just relax.

None of this chaos could stop the endless parades and protests by various activist groups. That was only natural — most of these "associations" were just modern street gangs with better PR.

Only when battles got too intense — foundations cracking, skyscrapers collapsing, flames shooting into the sky — would people finally react like NPCs triggered to flee.

Screaming, wailing, crying… bodies torn apart, everything physically shattered.

This was the heart of New York City. This was the Marvel universe.

And unfortunately… Guan Fuyun had transmigrated straight into it.

No identity. No background. He couldn't mutate, and he had no access to advanced tech. Just a pure civilian.

He stood in a corner like an old man staring at his phone on the subway, feeling like his whole world was about to fall apart. He decided to stay hidden and observe first.

Then he saw it.

People scattering like headless flies in panic. Behind them — spreading flames, collapsing buildings, and streets cracking and shaking violently.

Stray bullets flew everywhere. Bodies littered the ground. Blood splattered across election campaign billboards.

"Fuck this shit!"

Tanks, helicopters, and armored vehicles rolled into the city center. Soldiers twisted their hips while touching up their makeup, shouting battle cries as they unloaded insane amounts of firepower toward the source of the disaster in the heart of the flames.

It did nothing.

"HRAAAAAAGH—!"

Accompanied by a disgusting roar, a gray-green monstrosity burst out — a grotesque hybrid of human, crab, and seafood, mutated twice over by super soldier serum and gamma radiation. It was the Abomination.

Flames clung to it like a fashionable cloak. It stomped across burning corpses and spent bullet casings, then demonstrated to the people of New York exactly what "tearing a tank apart with bare hands" looked like.

It was a scene that shook the world.

People didn't know what this monster was. They only knew its birth was tied to America's warmongering military — they had dug a demon straight out of hell.

Its face was hideous. It moved like a savage gorilla. Yet its strength and speed far exceeded human limits. It could leap hundreds of meters high and swat helicopters out of the sky like flies.

Its body was terrifyingly durable. Bullets felt like flea bites. AK rounds were like mouthwash, missiles were a shower. Even tank shells or depleted uranium rounds couldn't stop it. It could rip through thick armor with its bare hands. Modern weapons had become a joke.

Boom!

The shockwave from the impact lifted the hem of Guan Fuyun's trench coat.

He stayed quietly in his corner. Even from a distance, the raging Abomination had nearly brushed past him. Their eyes met for a brief moment.

Panicking wouldn't help, so he didn't panic.

This scene shocked many bystanders. Some second- and third-tier street-level heroes also gasped "Oh my God!" and thought about stepping up to show off.

In the end, they all shrank back.

It was like a beast patrolling its own territory. Or maybe their power and popularity simply didn't allow them to act cool.

[Ding!] [Father's Sorrow System activated!]

[As the name suggests, the main function of this system is to let the host experience the worries of a father.]

[Adopt a child and raise them to adulthood to earn points. Points can be used in the system shop to purchase items or draw cultivation entries.]

[Cultivation entries can be granted to the child, helping them grow stronger and healthier.]

[When you successfully raise the little brat into an adult capable of surviving in the Marvel world, the system will reward you with one exclusive Concept Entry draw.]

[Ding!] [Newbie gift package awarded: Exclusive Concept Entry — True Immortality.]

[From now on—] [The host is truly immortal. The one and only individual across the multiverse.]

[No person, no ability, no disaster can ever harm, imprison, or seal the host.] [The host can inflict real damage on anyone.] [Damage output depends on the host's own attack power.]

Good. Concept-level. Completely invincible.

Guan Fuyun finally relaxed for real.

True immortality meant genuine undying, unkillable, and free from all tribulations. In a world where cities were destroyed every three days and the planet faced extinction every five, this was the most important and best ability.

True damage meant that even though he was still physically an ordinary person… If he slapped someone hard enough, even the Abomination would feel it like a normal human, stunned for a few seconds in confusion.

Of course, the massive gap in strength and speed between them still existed. That part couldn't be ignored.

[Ding!] [Please spread fatherly love as soon as possible and enter the harvest season!]

The system prompted him.

This was necessary. After all, even though he was conceptually invincible, Guan Fuyun was still an ordinary human. He could still get hungry. He still needed to eat.

One-dollar fried chicken or one-dollar mansions were international jokes here. Finding human blood in your burger was normal. Polluted water that residents had to "handle themselves" was normal. Homeless people breaking into your house, calling the cops, and having you evicted from your own home was also normal.

Living in the current version of Marvel, he would be better off checking the system shop or finding a couple of acres to grow food and raise some chickens and ducks, far away from the noise.

But all of that depended on one thing first: Becoming a dad.

That was easy enough. After the Abomination's rampage, orphans were everywhere. He could just pick one up.

Guan Fuyun spotted a little boy standing in a daze, his face covered in blood, clutching the severed limbs of what seemed to be his parents.

Blond hair, blue eyes, a face that screamed "starved for affection," lips pressed together tightly.

He looked like a smart kid — easy to fool.

You'll do.

...

S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier — somewhere high above.

"Ring ring ring—"

Ever since the Abomination started its rampage, Nick Fury's phone had been exploding with calls. All of them were people cursing him out.

His face had turned completely black with rage. He kept muttering "Motherfucker" under his breath, furiously fiddling with his pager, debating whether to call for backup.

He had no choice. In less than half a month, too many insane things had happened.

First, Hank Pym lost his mind and killed the entire original Avengers team, shutting down the Avengers Initiative and sealing the files. That left him severely short-handed.

Then Tony Stark, instead of enjoying life as a billionaire playboy, put on a metal suit and became Iron Man. Because he was dying, he started partying harder, indulging wildly, and causing all kinds of trouble.

Then Captain America from World War II had been dug up. Two of them, actually. One named Steve Rogers. The other called… Sock-Foot Boy.

Something was very wrong. Extremely "motherfucking" wrong. It felt like some kind of world fusion was occurring, and he was powerless to stop it.

Even ignoring all that, right now — with the Abomination rampaging live on the Helicarrier's satellite feed — Fury couldn't do anything about it. He could only play dead.

"Director Fury, the President is calling!"

But some people he couldn't avoid.

"Hello, Mr. President."

"Director Fury, I assume you've seen the situation in New York?"

"Yes."

"So what's your plan?"

"S.H.I.E.L.D. will send agents to deal with the Abomination and arrange rescue operations. If necessary…"

"That's not the answer I want."

"Then?"

"The White House's plan is simple: pretend to put up a fight. Make it look good on camera, loud enough for the news. Play the victim in the media. Direct public anger toward the military-industrial complex and the opposing political party. Just don't hurt my re-election chances. Understood?"

"What about the rescue?"

"Rescue is what superheroes do. Aren't there enough superheroes in America already? That's not the White House's responsibility. We have no obligation."

As if worried Fury didn't understand, the President added: "That's just life. People die."

"Fury? Fury?"

The President kept calling, but Fury didn't respond.

It wasn't that he didn't want to answer. It was because the live feed on the screen right now was simply too shocking…

...

Not just Fury — the whole world saw it.

News helicopters had been filming the entire time, and they captured a scene that would shake the planet.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The frenzied Abomination, in complete madness, tore a skyscraper apart and used it like a giant club, smashing everything. The streets were riddled with holes. People were torn apart.

Screams and wails turned the scene into a living hell, gradually closing in on a dazed little boy.

He seemed completely frozen in terror, unable to move. It looked like he would be crushed in the next second.

At that moment.

A figure in a black trench coat, billowing like a dark robe, ran forward.

The night was already dark and hazy with smoke and blood. His face was blurry, but it was clear he was just an ordinary person.

He was running with obvious effort, breathing heavily.

"I made it!"

Guan Fuyun reached the boy, turned to face him, and pulled him into a tight embrace.

Then, with his back to the crowd and the raging Abomination, he shielded the child with his thin, frail body against all the blood and horror.

The Abomination charged and roared. His clothes tore. Thick blood splattered onto him. It was all deeply uncomfortable.

But in the eyes of the spectators, the unstoppable, hideous demon that had been shattering streets and collapsing buildings — along with the blood-red carpet beneath its feet — finally met its end.

The crimson scene shattered like fragments of red light, scattering in the wind.

The Abomination toppled sideways.

Guan Fuyun's body trembled slightly, swaying as if he might fall at any moment… but he didn't fall.

His straight back only bent to protect the embrace.

A beam of streetlight fell upon them, illuminating his joyful face and the boy's stunned expression.

Even in the deepest labs, even in his wildest dreams, the boy had never imagined someone would come running toward him with a smile, risking everything just to give him a hug.

It delivered an overwhelming, unforgettable shock and satisfaction to his dark, twisted heart.

"Hello, kid," Guan Fuyun said gently. "Where are your parents?"

"I don't have any."

"Where did you come from?"

"I don't know. One second I was in the lab, and the next I was here… like a dream."

"Where are you going?"

"I don't know… I have nowhere to go…"

"Then, would you like to become my son?"

"Daddy!"

?

That was way too familiar.

Guan Fuyun was momentarily stunned. This little brat… He was ridiculously easy to coax.

Guan Fuyun smiled awkwardly: "Uh, you can call me godfather or foster father."

"Daddy!!!"

"Fine, whatever makes you happy. What's your name?"

"Daddy, do you mean my human name or my product name?"

"What do you mean?"

"My human name is John. That's what the scientists who experimented on me and threw me into high-temperature furnaces called me. My product name is Homelander. That's what the company gave me. I'm supposed to be sold for profit in the future."

Guan Fuyun: "Holy shit…"
