** Reyna **
"Huff, huff" I breathed as I ran, internally facepalming at my lateness. I mean, you'd think that opening up your own joint business means that you're there early, right?
Nope, in the mornings, I'm lazier to get up than a Snorlax, which is super inconvenient when I have to get to work in the mornings...early.
'Better pick up the pace' I thought, speeding up.

I skidded to a halt in front of the small shop after 10-ish minutes. It wasn't much, a mere 900 sq. feet, but it was enough. The cafe was Pokemon themed, the main colors were a warm brown palette, with pastel blue and whites for the walls. (Think Pokemon Cafe ReMix, lol) The plush furniture, your standard white, black, and red colors; like a PokeBall. The windows glinted in the (somewhat) early sunlight, casting an even warmer glow on the inside.
Taking in a whiff of air, I could smell the delicious pastries already cooked, the scent of flour and honey in the air, the coziness of the place practically reverberated through the walls, bouncing off of everything.
I took a breath, smoothing down the front of my clothes and walked inside. Nothing else could go wrong today, right?
'Note to self, in a situation where something could go wrong, it'll go wrong.'
Somehow, my feet locked together, tripping me. My clumsiness didn't help with the fact that I'm super unlucky, for Arceus knows what reason. One moment, I'm striding inside the cutest little shop, the next, I find myself falling. I brace for the impact, closing my eyes...
I keep my eyes closed for about 12 whole seconds before I open them again. Realizing I'm no longer about to faceplant. Something, or someone, is holding me up. I twist my head to the side, looking up at my savior.
It's none other than Theo, my hot- I mean very modest coworker.(Internal blush) Me and him have been the bestest of friends for a long time, though I've always seen him a bit more than a friend, I admit. But I had a strong feeling he didn't reciprocate my feelings, so I've learned to lock them up and shove them deep inside.
Theo has everything someone could ask for in a friend. He's funny, willing to listen, always seems to have the right thing to say, super kind, and the brightest smile. He can make anyone feel happier by just being near them. He was super popular back when we were in high school. Ah, the good old days.
Wait, I just realized he's still holding me up. I stand up straight and clear my throat. 'And my mind, I need to focus'
"Uh, thanks Theo..." I say awkwardly. Looking down at the ground, scratching my the back of my neck.
"No problem Rey, what would you ever do without me, hm?" He chuckles, amused at my slightly disheveled appearance.
I pout a bit, looking back up at him, "It's not my fault I'm innately clumsy. I'm like a Psyduck on ice, but it's always on land." I sigh.
"Hey, its alright Reyna, you make up for your clumsiness with your amazing skills in the kitchen." Theo say, patting my shoulder.
My heart gave an involuntary flutter at the compliment, but I kept my face composed. I nod my head at his words.
"So uh...speaking of the kitchen, I should probably get ready, right? We're going to open up soon." I reminded him.
"Oh! Yes, of course. Lets go." He chuckled again and walked off to the kitchen
Ahh... I'm so excited! I practically squeal in delight as I stretch a bit, before following Theo into the kitchen. This was to be the start of a new adventure!
