Synopsis
In the vast forests, towering mountains, and the wide seas, mythical creatures spread across the wide world. Some are large and terrifying, while others are small and gentle; half of them enjoy harming humans, while others wish to help them. No one knows exactly when they appeared. Some say they existed before the human race emerged, while others claim they appeared alongside the first humans in this world. Their forms and abilities vary, and different races deal with them differently. Some despise them and consider them monsters, while others revere them. Yet everyone agrees on one thing: it is best not to attempt to meddle with them. Everyone, that is, except for one person.

Chapter 1 - Prologue

"Die, you vile creature."

The hideous, monstrous, deep voice of the beast spread throughout the dark forest. Its height was nearly four meters, and its body was entirely covered with extremely thick black fur.

It had eighteen long arms extending from its elongated body. Its wide red eyes were scattered all over its body and behind its back.

Unlike the rest of its body, its face had only one enormous eye, with no mouth or any other features, making it look like a hybrid creature between a snake and a monkey.

The smell of blood filled the entire area, and human corpses were scattered everywhere. They looked intact, but not a single one of them had any eyes.

In front of that monster stood only one man. He wore a long black coat and a black hat that covered half of his red hair, mixed with many white strands.

One of his eyes was covered with a large patch, while the other was blue like the sea, staring steadily at the monster.

In his right hand he held a gun, and in his left a glass vial containing a glowing yellow liquid.

The monster moved and tried to lunge at the man with speed. The ground shook beneath it, and the tree leaves fell under the pressure of its charge.

The man turned and opened the yellow vial, then splashed most of its contents on the creature.

The monster screamed loudly, and its scream sounded as if a group of different people were screaming at the same time. All its eyes closed in the same instant.

The man took advantage of that moment. He fired multiple shots toward the monster's body, and each bullet, upon impact, glowed with a golden light. The explosion of light illuminated the entire forest.

The man closed his eyes, dashed behind the monster, and began firing continuously at it.

When the light finally faded completely, the monster opened all its eyes again and turned toward the man, trying to attack him once more.

The man pulled a set of red bullets from his pocket, loaded them into his gun, and fired them at the creature's eyes. With each shot, one of the monster's eyes was destroyed.

The monster tried to strike the man with its eighteen arms, but he dodged them with agility. He hid, shifted between a group of trees, and attacked again.

He kept firing until he had destroyed all the monster's eyes, leaving only the single large eye on its head.

When the monster tried to flee, a fast bullet struck its final eye, causing its body to dissolve into the air and turn into dust.

The man stepped back, holstered his gun, then looked around. The corpses that had been without eyes moments ago had regained them.

Soon, the human bodies stood up on their feet again. The people who had returned to life could not believe or understand what had just happened to them.

Confusion and shock appeared on their faces, but it did not last long. Gratitude soon began to fill their hearts.

A woman ran from afar, carrying her children in her arms, rushing toward one of the elderly men. The other children ran toward their families.

A middle aged man approached the man who had killed the monster and stood in front of him.

"Thank you."

The man did not answer. He simply gave him a sideways glance, then walked toward the depths of the forest.

The strangers whose lives he had saved stood there, watching him as he disappeared into the distance.

None of them had ever imagined they would see a man in full control of his mind facing a mythical creature alone, and on top of that, defeating it by himself.
