Chapter 1 - "As the majesty whish"

Pov: Бувай, тату!! Bye father! I yelled as I leapt into my father's arm. He smiled warmly as he hugged me and kissed my temple. Then he glanced at my mother-At her beautiful yet yearnful smile-His thumb reached out to graze her cheek--Then he too hugged her. хвилюйся, я повернуся, don't worry, I will return soon, he murmured, only for her. His words seemed to comfort my mother as Her lips curled into a soft smile. May go be with you, she murmured. he then nodded and stepped out. The scorching sun illuminating my father's armor as he then stepped on Tovaris-His horse, now his companion in the battlefield. HAYA! he yelled, as he then fled. waved my hands--Then I heard the soft sobs of my mother. Mama, why are you crying? I asked as I quickly hugged her. Don't cry... I murmured. She hugged me back tightly--her breath fanning against my back.

---

That night felt somewhat heavier as I laid beside my mother who seemed to be sleeping serenely. The sound of the crickets was imminent I then glanced at the glowing moon. My hands ever so clenched as I fought back the tears that threatened to spill. Yes, I'm soft perhaps too soft. Then I felt my mother's hands instinctively holding me. She then looked at me, at my tear- drenched face. Чому ти плачеш, люба? Why are you crying sweetie? she asked. I opened my mouth to talk but nothing came. only the sound of my trembling lips. Then she smiled and grazed my brown locks. then her lips parted as she started to whisper a harmonies lullaby. My lips curled--Yes...I was too old for a lullaby-Though, I closed my eyes and didn't stop her.

sleep little baby sleep. For you, I sing under the fire. oh, my heart, my little growing tree. I sing to you under the quiet light. sleep little baby. Спи, маленьке дитя, спи. Для тебе я співаю під вогнем. О, моє серце, моє маленьке зростаюче дерево. Я співаю для тебе під тихим світлом. Спи, маленьке дитя, спи.

the following days passed as we got no news about my father. I quickly put on my leather shoes then turned to my mom. I will be back soon!! My mother looked at me, her eyebrows furrowed where are you going Vjačesláv? she asked, her voice laced with worry as she quickly wiped her hands down her apron. then quickly grabbed shoulders. I smiled and said, not to worry. She nodded hesitantly then I stepped out, waving as I sprinted into our village.

The market was busy as men yelled out to their customers. women carried their children as they quietly walked. admits the crowd I soon caught my friends, though they quickly ran away. I frowned, then my gaze followed their trail. Then I too ran there. it was far away from the village I can tell that because of the lack of shops or homes. Just then-the sun began to set. Mom will get worried I thought as I quickly ran. Though the further I ran-the deeper I went into the woods. At one point My voice started to falter as I stared up-it was dark now. Mama!! I yelled-Then I slumped to the ground, sobbing.

Soon I heard the soft voice of a Girl-I quickly glanced up-Eleanor, my friend, the blacksmith's daughter. She innocently fidgeted with her beautiful blonde hair. чому ти плачеш? why are you crying? she asked. I'm not, I murmured. quickly wiping away my tears. she then stepped in closer, Ой, серйозно? Тоді що це були за ридання? oh really? then what were those sobbing sounds? I-I'm lost I murmured, stuttering as I kept my head low in shame. She then held out her hand, urging me to take it. I hesitantly did-Then our hands intertwined as we both sprinted; I felt the cold air whooshing past me. I then glanced at her, at how her hair fluttered fiercely against the wind. She looked at me back, then smiled-I smiled back.

Soon we both reached the village-Though nothing was the same-The whole town seemed to be turned upside down. Візантійці прийшли!! Візантійці прийшли!! byzantine came!! byzantine came!! I heard a voice echoing through the village. My fist clenched as I noticed the shops and homes were destroyed then I heard the blood curling sound of the children and women being taken away.

Then my eyes winded-Mama...I whispered shakily. Eleanor glanced at me-tears swelled up on her eyes as she glanced at me. I winced as she squeezed my hands Ми повинні йти!! We have to leave!! she said. I shook my head then released her hands. моя мама! No, my mother!!

I then started to run towards my home-My breathing hollow as my chest hammered against my ribs. Ні, мамо, ні ... no mom, no, I murmured as I then reached my house. My totaled house, Burned beyond recognition. M-Mama? my throat swelled up as I flopped to the ground. MAMA!!! I screamed at the top of my lungs. My hands clenched the soil, as hot tears trickled down my lips.

I then crawled my way to it, my legs have already given up. I then finally reached it--Then found the remains of my mother, a piece of her cloth-that she was wearing at the morning-Now tattered, bloodied. Mamaaaa!! I clenched it. чому вони не відвезуть мене? why won't they take me too?

Then there was the sound of footsteps against the slimy soil-I clasped my mouth, then looked. Then I heard a familiar voice followed by a slap. Відстаньте від мене, ви пси!! My eyes widened, at that second, I knew who it was-it was Eleanor.

She yelled, her voice roared like a lioness, leave me, you dogs!!! Then one of the men came closer to her-She then quickly spat at their faces. The men who got spat at, quickly wiped away his face, his eyebrows then jointed as he raised his hand to slap her-S-Stop!! I yelled with whatever courage I had.

Eleanor glanced at me-as tears trickled down her pretty face. The men turned to me, smirking. I clenched my jaw as I felt my anger rising. Then one of the men gestured the other. He nodded, then he started to inch towards me-I didn't run, I couldn't.

I just stood there. though soon a strong arm clasped me from behind--I kicked and jumped but nothing. then they covered my mouth--My eyes started to get blurry then I heard the muffled noise of Eleanor. her desperate face and her trembling rosy lips. soon I lost my consciousness.

---

I woke up in an unusual place-it was morning. I then glanced around to see few children my age and few women. I stared at the wooden ground before me then I realized that it was a ship-I then heard the sound of boots hitting the floor. hitting against the floor. Few men who then passed some bread around. many quickly ate it up--But I couldn't bother touching it.

γεια, δεν τρως ? hey! you are not eating? a man asked me. I shot him a look then tossed the bread away-The men's arm clenched. Suit yourself! he spat then took the bread off the ground.

The others stared at me like I was crazy-I didn't look at them back, I just didn't. Soon came the cold, brutal night, I slowly closed my eyes, whispering Eleanor's name.

God, I wonder where she is...
