Maximillian Nakamura has always been a huge fan of choose-your-own-adventure books, and eventually, he discovered Jumpchains—a way to 'live' out endless stories across countless worlds while creating a powerful main character with great abilities.
To Max, these are just exciting tales, maybe even a power fantasy used to pass the time leisurely, but nothing more. Little did he know, the god-like being that oversees the 'version' of Earth he lives on—'Jump Chan'—sees things very differently.
This 'Jump Chan' chooses outsiders who harbor a greater love for the stories created by the people of their reality than for that reality itself, to help propagate the multiverse. The collective belief of millions of fans—those who immerse themselves in these tales found in comics, tv, legends or books—combined with the power of this strange, story-loving supreme being, can bring fictional worlds to life, forging new universes! Using 'Jumpers' as her medium, Jump Chan selects Max—a lonely guy who has amassed a vast arsenal of knowledge from media consumption, pop fiction and countless hours of playing with Jumpchain combinations already.
With Max as her tool, Jump Chan’s plan is to forge new universes from the fabric of imagination and faith, strengthening the overall structure of the multiverse. When Max’s final jump lands him in the world of The Legendary Mechanic, his favorite web novel and media in general, he decides to go all out and fully embrace the situation he's been placed in. The previous jumps he has visited have provided him with the skills, items, and experience needed to help guide Han Xiao to his ultimate goal—while he explores and enjoys his favorite, now very real, universe!
A Fanfic of the Legendary Mechanic using the fun of Jumpchain!
TLM Jumpchain-Fanfic. This is a soon-to-be released work based on one of my favorite novels, The Legendary Mechanic.
It follows main character, Max Nakamura, as he travels through several 'verses' of his choice, gaining what he needs to play with his favorite characters in his favorite book, while making sure he doesn't ruin the universe he enjoys so much!
This chapter is a mere placeholder while work is being done. Expect the first couple chapters to roll out early this winter!
