Chapter 1: Welcome In Legends Of Horizon
"It's going to be the biggest game release ever!"
Ethan shivered, the chill of the rainy night doing little to dampen his excitement for this new release. He was standing in the longest line the local game store had ever seen, clutching his pre-order ticket in his hands like it was a million dollar check.
"I can't wait to get this in my hands!" Mike yelled, while leaning over and pushing around a few people behind him.
"Almost there," Ethan said, though his heart was racing. A giant digital timer above the store's entrance flashed the last 59 seconds, counting down the last minute. The store owner's voice boomed over the speakers.
"One minute!"
Ethan glanced at Mike, who was still bouncing, unable to stay still for just a second. "You think we'll survive the first wave of players in-game?" He asked, half joking.
Ethan smirked, "Survive? You know us. We played, and completed pretty much all MMO's there are already" he says confidently while making a fist.
"Ready?" Mike says, while smirking. As the timer strikes 0 seconds.
"Here goes nothing" Ethan laughs while putting on the VR glasses. "I hope my family doesn't get worried about me. This might take my life for a few days."

"Wow! This looks amazing, and it's just the menu. "So realistic!"

"Hmm, let's just go with Ethan144"

"Interesting, just four classes to choose from" Ethan says.
Assassin (Speed & Strength)
Tank (Defense & Health)
Warrior (Strength & Health)
Mage (Magic & Speed)
"I thought about this, I'm going for the Mage class. I like having magic and extra speed from the beginning. I can always upgrade the rest later."
"Let's go in!" Ethan says, while rushing to click the big "join" button.
The screen goes pitch black. While a loading screen appears. Ethan spawns in right in the middle of the starting village.
"Ethan! Is that you?" A character named AmazingMike appears right next to Ethan's spawning area. "You waited for me?" Ethan replies.
"Of course! Have you seen the player count? This has to be a new record! 4.2 Million players online on release day!" Mike says full of excitement.
"Huh? I can't leave?" A group of players at the spawn start to panic and sound confused.
"Can't leave?" Ethan mutters, as he opens the menu for himself. His face turns stressed while looking at the menu: no buttons to leave or log out.
