Chapter 1 - CH- 1 Who am i?

The world burnt around him, his eyes were covered in blood as he strolled with heavy breaths in his cloudy palace that was now burning, not quite literally but in a matter of metaphor.

He was poisoned and greatly wounded, his divine rights snatched away from him, his golden primordial halo and angelic wings severed off and sealed away. His steps were hard and weak; he moved out of his palace and turned around to view it magnificent architecture.

It was gargantuan and holy. It was made up of a mixture of materials such as marble, clouds and gold. He looked back, there was nothing there, not even the faintest idea of what laid below. He gazed his long-time residence for the last time in a long time as he let himself fall off the edge of the cloud that the palace was built on.

His body went limp as he fell off the clouds into the great abyss that lied beneath. His memories fading.

That day fell a being who was as old as time itself, that day a comet hit the mortal world of 'Gore'. That day the world started its first course as a magically stable world.

************

He opened his eyes looking at his hands and body first, ensuring that he is safe.

From what?

He too did not know why he checked himself for wounds and any unknown devices.

What was known and what was unknown?

He was not sure about that.

His mind tried to reel back trying to figure something.

The last thing he did? Who he was? What he was? Anything.

He was left with a strained mind with no result, he did not know who he was, what he was or even anything at all. All he remembered was him opening his eyes ad looking at himself making sure he was not bleeding from anywhere.

Why would he do that?

He figured it would have been his instinct. He stood up looking at himself once again. He was wearing simple tunic and a bracelet of sorts dangled around his slightly thin wrist. He was thin, not starving thin but a natural thinness. He nails were slightly red, but it did not look permanent, whenever he held his arms close to his nose, he felt a ferric/irony smell from hit.

What is this smell? What does even ferric, or irony smell even mean?

He did not even know the meaning of few words that practically popped out of his mind from nowhere.

He looked around himself and all he saw was he was not standing in a cave on a mountain side or on top of a hilly plain. As he walked towards the entrance of the cave, he felt strong sea breeze hit his face, its saline odor clearing his nose off the stick smell of the cave.

His eyes widened at the sight that stood before him at the entrance. The never-ending water body spread before him held his interest for almost a minute when a small sting started on his foot,

As he looked at his feet, he saw that a millipede was scrawling over his left feet biting him whenever it felt to do so. An unavoidable ich and irritation crossed his mind as he crushed the insect with his other feet. Unfortunate for his its sharp legs dug even further into his skin at the force he himself applied. He fell on his back at the immense pain, rubbing his feet with his hands.

Why am I doing this?

He did not even know what he was doing and why he was doing. As the pain eased, he stood back up and looked deep into the cave. There was shimmer of light from inside, it pulled him towards itself.

He gently followed the light deep into the cave, he did not know what it was, if anyone had a trap set up there for him.

Nothing.

As he reached the end of the cave there lied a huge metalic door, its rusty metalic frame still held to the stone tight and strong. He ran his finger slung the large lock that locked the door, it was as big as his head, not that he knew how big his head is, but he thought it would be the same size as his head.

Two entire fingers could easily fit through the hole in the lock, that was how big it was. He gave the door a strong push half expecting the door to open and give him what he wanted the most now.

Answers.

But the door remained unchanged and unyielding. After few tries he left the door alone and walked back to the entrance of the cave where he sat down and looked at beach that was a long way from here, hundreds if not thousands of kilometers away from him. One question still lingered in his mind. He spoke for the first time his words slow and steady, his voice was smooth and little deep, sounding like a young adult.

"Who am I?"
