A knock on the door woke me from my sleep -"Time to leave!" Called the hall monitor.
I had graduated my first year at collage and was leaving for summer break.
I rubbed my eyes and stretched before checking my phone. An email pinging through:
Dear applicant,
Thank you for your interest in the job,
We are pleased to invite you to join our team.
Please see attached further information you require.
We look forward to meeting you.

I clicked the attachment. This was it. Somewhere for me to go.
I had been an orphan, growing up in various homes. I studied hard and got myself into collage with a scholarship, working evenings to fund everything else.
Now I had finished for the year I needed to work, to earn money for next semester.
The email said the job entailed bar work.. at least I assumed. Although I didn't remember applying for it.
I got my things gathered and left for the bus station. I didn't have time to eat, I would get something in the road. I had a long journey ahead several hours… finding somewhere to live would be my first priority. Hopefully someone at the bar would be able to help.
As soon as I brought my ticket and got settled on the bus a strange feeling washed over me.. anticipation… excitement… I couldn't place it. I felt something stir in me. I let the unease wash over me and tried to get some sleep.
