Why live in a world without magic? What's the fun in that? These so-called humans just roam around—doing what, exactly? They all live like ants, waking up early in the morning, putting on clothes, and going to do what they call jobs. They call that living? It's simply pathetic.
Anyways, my time was limited. I needed a quick solution. In my universe—the one I solely governed, my humans were dying; they were turning into demons. Without them, there was no one to worship me, and that meant my end.

"He's not going to survive it," a man in a white coat and mask said. "He needs immediate surgery."
The patient was quickly rushed into the operating room. The lights were turned off, and the surgical lamp was flickering. He was surrounded by at least four medical practitioners.
"Pass me the retractors," one of the doctors said, using them to hold the patient's tissues open. "A direct bullet to the guts."
After some hours of intense surgery, he still wasn't reaching the desired heart rate. The doctors had to administer another round of anesthetics—the drug that lets one relax and fall asleep during surgery.
It was just hours upon hours of relentless surgical operations until...
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEEEEEP.
His heart finally gave up. That was the end of him. A bullet to the stomach was all it took to end the life of a full-grown man.

In an endless void of practically nothingness, a man simply floated. He was unconscious until a ball of white light, a guiding light of sorts, found its way toward him.
"What the fuck!" he gasped, quickly running his hands from his chest to his face. A shiver ran through him, and he was in pure disbelief. He was in awe, not of his surrounding void, but of his own existence.
"I was shot," he said. "Fuck, am I dead?"
He took a good look at where he was—nothing but darkness. He was just floating.
"I thought the afterlife would be something more intriguing," he whispered to himself. "But it seems this is just it."
His gaze quickly met the white light in front of him. Intrigued, he slowly touched it.
"Ouch!" he screamed. "That was fucking painful."
He quickly looked at the finger he'd used to touch the white light, and the tip of that finger was gone, as if it had never been there. No bleeding, no nothing, just the sharp pain he initially felt, and that was all.
"Fuck, fuck, fucking shit," he panicked. He wanted to feel some pain, but the only thing he felt was the phantom effect of having had a fingertip before. "What the fuck is going on?"
He looked up and had another look at the white light. He wasn't foolish enough to touch it again, so he decided to speak to it.
"What the fuck are you?" he asked.
'What the hell am I doing?' he thought. 'I'm literally talking to a ball of light. The phantom feeling of this finger is really getting to me.'
'I need to find a way out of here,' he thought as he quickly moved away from the ball of white light. 'I need to get away from that thing.'
[Human.]
A soft, ethereal, female-like voice called out.
'What was that?' he thought, quickly increasing his pace and moving away from the ball of white light. He was clearly frightened. Why shouldn't he be? He had just heard a voice that was clearly calling out to him, and he didn't want to be a part of any of it.
Immediately, a bright white light flashed directly at him as everything began to fade away. The black scenery of the void was quickly vanishing, turning into a bright show of light.
Then, he was in a room of pure white. Everything from the ceiling to the floor was white; it was more of a cube than a room.
'What in the hell?' he thought. 'This has to be a dream.'
[Human, it seems that I might have frightened you, so I decided to change the scenery. The eerie black feel surely added to your perception of me.]
'She, or whatever it is, did that?' He was clearly amazed at that thing's ability to just warp the void.
"What are you, exactly?" he asked, as he slowly turned to face the ball of light.
[Finally, some conversation. I'm Omni, and I'm a gift to you from my master, the Omni Queen.]
"A gift?"
[Yes, a gift. Don't look so confused; be cheerful that you were selected to inherit me. I'm the greatest of all treasures in the seven kingdoms.]
"Seven kingdoms? What the fuck are you on about?" He brushed off whatever the white light was saying. "I just want to rest in peace, man. I'm sure that I'm freaking dead, and I just wish to rest."
[Rest? Oh, I'm sorry, but I simply can't grant you that request. You see, I was instructed to find you and bring you to her, and she will assign your duty.]
"Duty? Like you didn't hear me, lady, or whatever you are, just let me R.I.P. in peace."
[It seems that I'm not getting through to you, and yes, I'm a lady. Even though I technically don't have any gender, I prefer to be referred to as a female.]
[To get everything started, you will be given 20,000 heavenly points, and you can use 5,000 points for a single spin on the Transmigration Wheel.]
'Trans what?'
Immediately, a wheel appeared beside the ball of white light. In each of its sectors was written what looked like the names of places:
Green Azure Kingdom, Pure Mist Kingdom...
Then, suddenly, the ball of white light was absorbed by his body. He wasn't aware of it at first; he was too focused, trying to read what was written on the wheel, but after he felt an ethereal feeling coursing through his body, he quickly noticed he had just absorbed the ball of white light.
"What's going on?" he panicked, quickly beginning to touch his chest. "Hey, Omni, what do you think you're doing?"
He kept moving his hands around his chest until he heard a sudden chime ring in his mind. He suddenly paused, unsure of what he heard. He was confused at first: was the sound from this place, or was it in his head? He didn't need to wait long for an answer as that same chime sound rang again in his head.
[Omni system initializing...]
A blue translucent screen materialized at the edge of his vision, completely ethereal, like a digital holographic screen just hovering in front of him.
[You have received a gift from the Omni God,
"I'm not fucking playing with you, Omni!" he called out. "Stop all this. These jokes aren't funny anymore. Leave my body and stop with all this gift stuff."
[I'm sorry if my tone came off wrong because I never intended on sounding funny. Human, this is no joke. You have been chosen to serve the Omni God, and I'm your guide in doing that.]
"..."
[Calling you human doesn't feel right. Hmm, what's your name? It's better if I refer to you properly, considering we will work together for... I don't know, maybe eternity.]
"Eternity?"
[Yes, eternity is an option, considering the heaviness of your task.]
He took a slight breath, trying to take in everything that had just happened.
"I'm Damian. Damian Throne."
