Synopsis
War claimed his life. Fate gave him another. When a battle-hardened soldier falls on the frontlines, he awakens, not in the afterlife but in a new world. However, instead of the brand new life he had often read about in these types of situations, he finds himself in a bit of a predicament. The body he currently inhabits belonged to a slave miner who had somehow managed to catch the attention of the Lady of the house, who was notorious for her escapades with various men. Now it seemed that he was about to be added to that very long list of names. That boy, sharing his very name, should have died long ago. Yet within him runs the diluted blood of giants, just strong enough to hold his soul and give him a second chance. The soldier within refuses to bow. Armed with his ruthless will, his combat instincts, and a body pulsing with giant-blooded potential, he aims to break free and live his new life to the fullest. I mean, come on, in a world full of vampires, elves,, and beastkin baddies, it would be a shame if he were to waste this brand new opportunity, right?

Chapter 1 - Fallen Soldier

AARRGGHHHHH!!!

'Why am I falling from the sky?'

That was the only question on Gareth's mind as he plummeted through the clouds at an astonishing speed. His mind was in turmoil as he failed to grasp what was happening right now. Of course, the wind howling in his ear right now wasn't helping him much.

He flailed his arms around, trying to stabilse himself as much as possible. However, it was to no avail. No matter what he did, he couldn't do selfright himself at all and was left to the mercy of the elements.

Not for long though, as he was plummeting head first, he noticed the ground getting closer at an insane speed. From afar, he was begining to see patches of green that were becoming bigger by the second.

Within them, he noticed stone sructures that jutted out from them, disrupting the plains of greenery that he assuned to be a forest. As he got closer and closer, to them, he noticed that the stone structures were houses. And there were not small in number.

Before he could think about the implications of that, he realised that he was heading straight for one of them. His face paled and he quickly put his arms in front of his head, to shield himself from the incoming impact.

'This is going to hurt.' That was his last thought before he crashed into the roof of one of the stone houses. Except, he didn't crash into it. What he didn't see because he had his eyes covered was his body phasing through the roof and landing into the body of a young man lying motionlessly on the ground.

Then, out of no where, the young man, whose body had been motionless previously as if he was lifeless suddenly showed signs of life. His thunb twitched visibly, before everything went back to normal.
