Pallet Town.
Professor Oak's Laboratory.
Has it really been ten years since I came to this world?
Silas, bearing an uncanny resemblance to Gary and dressed in black casual wear, gazed at the Poké Ball before him. A wave of nostalgia washed over his eyes, as if lifetimes had passed.
"Silas..." The Professor Oak sat beside him, voice heavy as he stared into the night. "Don't refuse our kindness. Our family designed these Master Balls—their system differs from ordinary Poké Balls. Captured Pokémon data comes directly to me, bypassing the League. This gives you leverage against Champions and Elite Four members."
"As for the bank card and Elite Four badge... They'll shield you from tedious distractions, letting you focus on training. Our family has produced Elite Four members and researchers, but never a Champion. While the title means little to us, it's different for Kanto. This region has never had a native Champion... a tragedy for our land and its people."
His solemn tone carried profound sorrow, revealing a side of Professor Oak Silas had never seen. It left a bitter ache in Silas' heart.
Professor Oak was among his closest family. Whether in daily life or research, the professor had given him nothing but the best—unconditionally. Facing such a request, Silas found no reason to refuse.
"Grandpa." Silas patted Professor Oak's shoulder, his expression resolute as he made an oath others would deem impossible. "Within three years, the Kanto Championship will be mine. Within six, all six Leagues will bow to Kanto!"
"Good! Good! Good!"
Overjoyed, Professor Oak beamed. He'd long noticed Silas' detached nature—only Pokémon and family mattered to him; everything else seemed irrelevant. Silas' promise, achievable or not, brought him peace.
Most importantly, Professor Oak knew Silas' character: he never spoke lightly, and once committed, he'd give his all.
"Ah, yes." Cheerful now, Professor Oak recalled something. "Are you certain about taking the Pikachu the League recently sent?"
"Yes." Silas nodded.
"Very well." Professor Oak rose, heading toward the exit. "I'll inform the League officials. I don't know why that Pikachu interests you, but since it's your first request for a second Pokémon, this grandpa will gladly oblige."
Thank you.
Silas whispered internally as Professor Oak departed. He then narrowed his eyes, summoning the Elemental System that had accompanied him to this world.

System Introduction:
Defeating Pokémon Trainers yields fragments of their Pokémon. Collect enough identical fragments to synthesize that Pokémon with peak potential and talent!
Elemental Crystals!
Crystals imbued with elemental energy. Feed enough to a Pokémon, and it gains that elemental attribute. Example: A Caterpie consuming sufficient Thunder Crystals could theoretically unleash Thunderbolt or even Thunder!
Crystal grades: Low-grade, Mid-grade, High-grade, Top-grade.
(1 Top-grade crystal = 100 High-grade = 1,000 Mid-grade = 10,000 Low-grade)
Fragment Recycling & Crystal Conversion.
Recycle fragments for Gold. Convert crystals at a 3:1 ratio—expending three crystals of one type to create one of another.
Lottery!
The system's sole Gold expenditure: 588 Gold per spin / 5,888 for 10 spins / 58,888 for 100 spins. Drops are random: each spin gives random items; 10 spins guarantee one Mid-grade crystal; 100 spins guarantee one High-grade crystal and Legendary Fragment; 1,000 spins guarantee one Top-grade crystal and Legendary Pokémon!
Silas' earlier vow stemmed directly from this system. Though untested beyond the Charmander and 10,000 Low-grade Fire Crystals from his starter pack—gifts that astonished everyone—its power was undeniable.
Silas' eyes sharpened as he reviewed the system, already mapping his journey's strategy.
